0:00 This episodes begins with a spontaneous little sound design clip I made for the intro to THIS, episode 15, after a SIX month hiatus. An old Chinese man once told me I was lazy and that I should do ten pushups everyday. I have done zero pushups today. BUT! I have an excuse... When you fall down, let go. Don't hang on too tight. Don't wake surf the way I did, with a fully extended arm, grasping like a threatened chimp even after that glorious twenty-two seconds gliding along the lip of a man-made wave on your first time wake surfing. Don't do it like that. Give yourself some slack, and when you fall down, let go. Don't hold on too tightly. 17:33 I randomly sing you a love song that's not really finished yet because I felt like it. But not until after I finish jibber jabbin about cannabis laws and my sober November experiment.  21:22 The conversation with Melissa begins. We catch up after a little over a year since our last chat. She talks about her first tour and where she's at after 2.5 years hitting the stages. She recounts some good advice given to her by some of the greats, like Kirk Fox and Joey Diaz. I sat down outside on a deck in the sunshine with Jesse on the 20th of April for this conversation. Jesse (SLEEPWRECK) is a musician of many talents. He plays multiple instruments fluently, but is currently mainly focused on his electronic productions. He has performed at many festivals including Shambala, Burning Man, Crucible and others. He also practices a WASTE NOT lifestyle and is passionate about growing food and building sustainable communities. Check out Sleepwreck.com to sign up for the mailing list to join the community and receive free music and access to Jesse's thoughtful blog.   LINKS & Notes @JesseSleepwreck on twitter Near the beginning I couldn't recall the name of a specific expert on neurology. That man is Stuart Hameroff MD. On the brain, "It’s more like an orchestra [than a computer] with musical resonances in all cells and neurons." I heard him speaking on THIS episode of the Grimerica podcast. The Four Brainwave States(a simplified graphic of the frequency ranges associated with different brain states)

It's been too long! This unplanned episode was born of self indulgence. I miss doing the podcast and I was alone and awake the other night, so I turned on the mic and rambled on as one does. A few tour stories come up, Elon Musk shares his thoughts on climate change, and I drop a very random a cappella beat in there somewhere. BONUS: The outro contains a confidence boosting self affirmation from the orange man himself (courtesy of VICE)! LINKS Intro clip: sampled from "DTFH" #230 featuring Jason Louv.
