In this episode we were lucky to meet Olympic athlete Eloise Wellings to discuss her recent London Marathon debut and the resilience she has built through her training techniques over her incredible career. Eloise has represented Australia in the Commonwealth Games, World Championships, and the Olympics. She's encountered many obstacles including 11 potentially career-ending injuries. She qualified for 3 Olympics that she couldn't attend due to injuries but she never gave up. This year she tried but did not qualify for the Tokyo Olympics so changed her goal to take on the challenge of her first marathon in London. We discussed processing the disappointment of not achieving your goals, how to mentally prepare for high-pressure, uncomfortable situations and dealing with the unexpected on a very public stage!
