Sujet: you verbe: to go (aller) Did you go [to the store]? Sujet: he verbe: to see (voir) Did he see [the new movie]? Sujet: they verbe: to try (essayer) Did they try [to speak English]? Sujet: she verbe: to buy (acheter) Did she buy [a new dress]?

Sur ce podcast, on apprend à donner des ordres en anglais ; c'est-à-dire, la forme impérative. D'abord, n'oubliez pas qu'en anglais, « tu » et « vous » sont tous les deux « you », alors tous les verbes n'ont que 2 formes impérative en anglais. Pour les formes de « you », laissez tomber le « to » du verbe en infinitif, et on a la forme impérative ! Par exemple, « to go » , laissez tomber « to », on n'a que « go ». Alors, « Va au magasin » devient « Go to the store » Pour les formes de « we », ajoutez « Let's » devant la forme impérative de « you » et c'est tout ! Par exemple, « Allons au magasin » devient « Let's go to the store » Quelques autres exemples... « to stop » (arrêter) – Stop ! Let's stop ! « to open » (ouvrir) – Open the door ! Let's open the door ! « to close » (fermer) – Close the window! Let's close the window ! Même avec « to be », c'est très simple : Be nice. Let's be nice. Comment dit-on en anglais… ? « Parlons anglais. » Let's speak English. « Regardons la télé. » Let's watch TV. « (Ayez une) bonne journée ! » Have a good day ! « Donne-moi le livre. » Give me the book. « Aidez-moi, s'il-vous-plaît » Help me, please.
