The Conscious Edge Podcast: Redefining Wealth as a Whole Human Experience
Hey everyone! I'm Alecia St. Germain, your host of The Conscious Edge podcast, and guess what? Jonathan is back with us. If you're new here, he's the wellness advocate and my good friend who's been away for a bit. We're talking about his travels after six weeks abroad. You're going to love his insights about building a life and a business that allows for extended time away without missing a beat. Our conversation was filled with practical tips, heartfelt moments, and a few laughs about the roadblocks he faced (like a troublesome loan document!). Creating Time Freedom: Turning a Dream into Reality Jonathan and I dove into what it takes to build a business where you can take extended time off without everything falling apart. As he put it, “For a very long time, I've had this goal of trading time for money… One of my core definitions of success is time freedom.” Jonathan shared how he laid the groundwork for this by creating systems, automating processes, and setting up redundancies so his business could continue operating smoothly while he explored Europe. Planning for Flexibility and Embracing the Unexpected Planning is key, but so is flexibility! Jonathan told us about his experience handling a surprise loan issue remotely. That challenge required some extra problem-solving and adaptability. From managing finances to setting up reliable ways to stay in contact with clients and loved ones, he prepared well but remained open to handling unexpected situations. Jonathan's advice? Expect the unexpected and have a backup plan, but also recognize that some things can wait. Hear how Jonathan identified the things he could do remotely and how he got clear on what could wait until he returned home. He also shares his stop-catastrophizing strategy as well. That's something anyone can use at any time, not just when traveling. Experience Life's Moments Fully While work was part of the journey, Jonathan also practiced mindfulness and gratitude in beautiful Italian landscapes. He shared powerful reflections on appreciating every moment and capturing experiences through photography, not just for memories but to fully immerse himself. His mindfulness practice reminded me of how important it is to stay present, appreciate where we are, and remember why we're working so hard to create this freedom. Jonathan's travel tales, insights into mindful business building, and plans for the future left me even more inspired. I hope his experiences spark ideas for those of you dreaming of working remotely or taking an extended time away while your business thrives. Listen in on our full episode for all the tips, laughs, and maybe some inspiration to book your own “work-cation” abroad! Much love and be well everybody! Verrrrry excited to bring some of the local talent on the show this week! I am bringing on published alternative model, adult creator, feature entertainer and Suicide Girl, Sirene Rouge, onto the show this week! Sirene will be speaking to us about getting some work done abroad which I'm sure many of us might have considered but never have gone through with it. Sirene will be speaking to us specifically about getting rhinoplasty, otherwise more popularly known as a nose job, in Istanbul, Turkey. It's important to note that Sirene had done months of extensive research on a surgeon, comparative analysis on costs in North America vs. Turkey, as well as recovery. She gives us full transparency on this episode which will hopefully inspire some of you to make informed decisions on getting work done abroad. https://www.instagram.com/sirene_rouge_sg/ linktr.ee/Sirenerouge Sirene's surgeon in Turkey: Dr. Erdem Çağlar Stripped by SIA was nominated for a 2024 AVN Award for Favorite Adult Podcast!
