Episode #67 - 10/2/11 Raider Greg along with the Bad Boys of BBQ host the pregame tailgate party prior to the Raiders vs Patriots in Oakland on October 2, 2011. Jeanette Thompson of the Oakland Raiders joins us for some food and did a video segment with Raider Greg and Kingsford Kirk. Jeanette hosts episodes of "Behind the Shield Online" for the Raiders on Raiders.com. She is a former Raiderette, and this year she became the director of the Raiderettes! She is a busy woman, and Raider Greg shows her our appreciation for all of her great work for the Raiders. Greg also chats with a Patriots fan who was at our party. Erin is obviously a devoted Patriots fan. One of our tailgate regulars, Juan Jorge, tried to stump her by asking her to name the Patriots offensive line from tackle to tackle. She proceeded to rattle off the names without hesitation as you'll see on the video. Then Greg finishes off by visiting with two listeners of our year-round audio podcast, "Raider Nation Podcast", Roy and Vanessa from Modesto. Roy asked everyone to vote for Raider Nation Podcast in the "People's Choice Podcast Awards." The ballot hasn't been announced yet. Episode 65 - Shot in London, England 4/21/11 Crusader Raider Keith Smith hosts the 2nd of two videos shot in London, England. We continue the postgame celebration of the Leyton Orient Football Club victory that we started in Episode 64. We had a chat with Stephen Dawson, Captain of the Leyton Orient English Football Team (aka soccer). Keith recruited Stephen as an honorary member of the Raider Nation. After chatting with several others in the supporters club, we made our way to a neighborhood pub nearby, which had a nice outdoor drinking area. Keith headed up a discussion about travels to Oakland and San Diego in 2011 to watch the Raiders. One of the Raider fans celebrating with us at the pub, Richard the "Diehard Essex Raider", talked about his trip to Oakland for the home opener against the Rams in 2010. We show a little footage of his appearance on Raider Nation Videocast at that game in Oakland, during our pregame tailgate party with Raider Greg. Episode #64 - London, England - 4/19/11 Keith Smith the "Crusader Raider" visits Oakland annually to see his favorite American football team the Oakland Raiders play. This April 2011 my wife Lisa and I (Randy) were fortunate enough to be able to visit Keith in his home town of London. Keith and Big Dave Chapman (also a die-hard Raiders fan) showed us a great time for the four days we were there. In the first part of the video, Keith chatted with fellow English Raider fans Raider Nik and Big Dave Chapman. We also had the opportunity to attend an "English Football" game featuring Keith and Dave's favorite English football team, Leyton Orient. We had a great time, even getting to go into the team locker room prior to the game. We were shaking hands with the team and chatting with them as the coach came in to give them their final plans for the game. We show you some video of Keith interviewing a few Raider fans inside the stadium just before the start of the game. Keith chats with Adam, Les, Keith's daughter Kellie and Big Dave's brother Richard. After Leyton Orient won this match by a score of 2 to 1, we had a great time having a few drinks in the Leyton Orient "Supporters Club"...even the team captain had a pint with us! He agreed to become a member of the Raider Nation, so we'll be getting some Raiders gear over to him. Our London adventure will be continued on our next videocast, Episode #65, where we will have more interviews with English Raider fans and continue the postgame celebration.
