1. Week 15 Reactions -Biggest Lesson Learned (DKrom: The AFC has 3 legit Super Bowl contenders, Hal: Bengals are the hottest team in the NFL and prove there's no Super Bowl hangover in Cincy) -GOAT of the Week (DKrom: Kirk Cousins, Hal: Trevor Lawrence) -DUNCE of the Week (DKrom: Mike McDaniel, Hal: Jeff Saturday) 2. Can the Eagles afford to rest Jalen Hurts for these next 2-3 games? 3. Would it be a big mistake for the Texans to fire Lovie Smith and move to a third head coach in three seasons? 4. Why are the Patriots committing SO many situational errors this season that are uncharacteristic of a Bill Belichick-coached team? What changes (coaching, FO, et al) need to be made after the season? 5. Truth or Exaggeration -With Steve Keim taking an indefinite, health-related leave of absence, the Cardinals should use this window of opportunity to move on from both him and Kliff Kingsbury -Should they be picking at 2 or 3 overall in the draft, it is a better idea for the Bears to stay put and take either Jalen Carter or Will Anderson (if one or both are available) than to trade down for more picks -Justin Jefferson is the best WR in the NFL right now...and the front-runner for 2022 NFL Offensive Player of the Year honors -The Cowboys are going to flame out early in the playoffs again...and Mike McCarthy will be fired as a result -If Aaron Rodgers decides to play at least one more year in Green Bay, the Packers should trade their first two draft picks for a disgruntled star WR -Kayvon Thibodeaux will end up being the best pass rusher from the 2022 draft class -Given their play the last three weeks, the Chiefs are no longer a shoo-in for the AFC's #1 playoff seed -The AFC South won't be decided until Week 18 when the Jaguars host the Titans 6. Week 16 Game Picks -Jaguars at Jets -Bills at Bears -Giants at Vikings -Lions at Panthers -Saints at Browns -Falcons at Ravens -Bengals at Patriots -Texans at Titans -Seahawks at Chiefs -Commanders at 49ers -Eagles at Cowboys -Raiders at Steelers -Packers at Dolphins -Broncos at Rams -Bucs at Cardinals -Chargers at Colts 7. BOLD PREDICTIONS -DKrom: Commanders defense sacks Brock Purdy six times, intercepts him three times, and forces him to fumble deep in his own territory twice...leading to two scoop-and-scores that are the difference in the game -Hal: Phillip Dorsett throws TD and catches subsequent two-point conversion for Texans...and Christian Kirkey forces a Derrick Henry fumble inside final two minutes to set up game-winning FG 8. CHALLENGE FLAGS -DKrom: NFL officials...THROW A FLAG when there's blatant pass interference REGARDLESS of what moment of the game it occurs -Hal: All 32 NFL owners and Roger Goodell, spend more money on technology to improve instant replay system and hire a single official to handle replays for every game

Super Wild Card Weekend was a tough one for the Against All Odds crew as everyone's favorite team lost. Cousin Sal and the Parlay Kid kick things off with the Cowboys losing to the 49ers as they waste another year of a talented roster. Parlay Kid blames it on organizational problems and the guys agree Dak running on the final play wasn't a good play and McCarthy shouldn't have defended it. Parlay Kid points out that wasn't even the most embarrassing play as the Cowboys were called for a delay of game after a successful fake punt. Parlay Kid has a can't miss Hail Mary play for the end of games but won't reveal it because it's a one-time-only play. Then it's onto Brother Bri's Raiders who still can't figure out the mystery whistle during a Bengals touchdown. Cousin Sal has a theory about refs who shouldn't get to call playoff games and Brother Bri thinks although Rich Bisaccia did a great job with the Raiders this year there are better options at head coach. Next, the guys discuss the Bills running it up on the Patriots and fans throwing a dildo on the field. The Parlay Kid thinks Josh Allen is the perfect QB built for Buffalo and Sal is reminded of the early 90's Bills. Plus, Tom Brady is impressive again in a win against the Eagle, and Bruce Arians may have some anger issues he needs to work on. Finally, a recap of Steelers and Chiefs as Harry's early bragging text to Babyface Joel might have sealed the Steelers defeat. The guys are already looking forward to Bills/Chiefs and next weekend's games. It was a big weekend of Betaches as Harry got bored of winning and started betting player props and his obsession with Africa Cup of Nations soccer continues. Brother Bri takes out his frustration on Derek Carr's bad spike and Parlay Kidd loses a bet by a half yard and a historic golf betache by Russell Henley. Up next, it's a preview of the final NFC Wild Card game, Cardinals @ Rams as Parlay Kid calls it a must-win game for Matthew Stafford. The guys make their picks and Cousin Sal has what might be his favorite player prop of the year as he likes Cooper Kupp, most receiving yards -115. Plus, first touchdown scored picks try to get back on track and Harry's brother could win a big bet tonight!
Five of the six Wild Card games are in the books, and they certainly did not finish without controversy.Charles Robinson & Frank Schwab recap the five weekend games from 2022's Wild Card slate, opening with the Dallas Cowboys' 23-17 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Were the referees really at fault for the timing of the final play? Should Mike McCarthy lose his job for this playoff collapse? Can the SF run game be Green Bay's achilles heel in the second round? Charles & Frank discuss it all. From Sunday's officiating controversy to Saturday's, the guys move onto the Cincinnati Bengals notching a desperately needed playoff win against the Las Vegas Raiders, perhaps thanks to an errant whistle blown during a Tyler Boyd touchdown. In the second half of the show, Charles & Frank talk about the three blowouts from the weekend, the Buffalo Bills embarrassing the division rival New England Patriots 47-17, the Kansas City Chiefs ending the Ben Roethlisberger era in Pittsburgh 42-21 & the Tampa Bay Buccaneers making easy work of the Philadelphia Eagles 31-15.Check out Charles & Frank on Twitter Spaces immediately following the Arizona Cardinals/Los Angeles Rams game on Monday night, January 17th. The Trysten Hill Suspension Is Ridiculous! PLEASE: ? Like the video ? Subscribe to the channel You can follow the Daily Blitz Podcast and others like it at https://www.DSPMediaOnline.com For everyone watching the Dallas Cowboys hosting the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday's NFL Thanksgiving Day extravaganza, there was an added "entertainment value'' that was found beyond the game. … and now, because of it, Trysten Hill has been suspended two games. In a game Dallas would lose, 36-33 in OT, the Cowboys trailed the Raiders coming out of halftime 17-13 and Las Vegas was forced to punt on its first possession. During that punt play, Cowboys rookie Kelvin Joseph and Raiders third-year special-teams player Roderic Teamer were fighting through each other's blocks. That kick went out of bounds ending the play, but Joseph and Teamer continued after the whistle, beyond the out-of-bounds marker, beyond the sideline area, and almost right into the field-level luxury boxes. Both players were ejected for the altercation. But later ... In true Thanksgiving fashion, just as families fight for leftovers after the main meal, the Cowboys and Raiders weren't done after the final gun. It was then, after the game when players were still on the field, CBS television cameras saw Cowboys defensive tackle Trysten Hill and Raiders offensive lineman John Simpson exchange something other than holiday pleasantries. The two were bumping chests until Hill knocked Simpson's helmet off with a punch. That launched a fight almost directly on top of the Star at midfield. No one knows what started the late fight, but it's clear emotions were high during the game, and that carried over after the final whistle. And now? Per NFL Network, Hill has been suspended by the league for the next two games without pay for his post-game punch. Presented by BetUS.com - Bet with the 3-Decade leader, BetUS! Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard do the same in Cowboys-Raiders. Beller does like a side in Bills-Saints, while Zac makes a compelling case for one in Bears-Lions. 1. Week 8 Takeaways -Me: Dallas Cowboys have a “team of destiny” feel to them -Hal: Backup QB showcase 2. Truth or Exaggeration -If the Saints offense sputters these next few weeks without Jameis Winston, the Saints should immediately sign Cam Newton -Stuck in the swamps of mediocrity, Vikings owner Zygi Wilf should pivot in a new direction by firing both Mike Zimmer and Rick Spielman after the season should they miss the playoffs -After trading away Von Miller, the Broncos should trade all five of their top 100 2022 draft picks plus another future first or two for Russell Wilson should he become available -If the Cowboys fail to reach the NFC Championship, Jerry Jones should fire Mike McCarthy and promote Kellen Moore to head coach -Unless the Raiders or Chargers self-destruct, the Chiefs will either barely sneak in to the playoffs…or not make the playoffs at all -The Chargers inability to stop the run will prevent them from winning the AFC West -Because of the potential season-ending injury to Derrick Henry, the Indianapolis Colts have an excellent chance to win the AFC South 3. This or That -Who is more likely to reach Super Bowl LVI: Rams or Cowboys? -Which long-tenured head coach is more likely to be coaching the exact same team 10 years from now: Sean Payton or Mike Tomlin? -Which backup QB had the more impressive performance on Sunday: Mike White or Cooper Rush? -Which team has been the bigger disappointment: Dolphins or Washington? 4. Packers at Chiefs Preview 5. Picks for all other Week 9 Games -Jets at Colts -Texans at Dolphins -Patriots at Panthers -Bills at Jaguars -Browns at Bengals -Falcons at Saints -Broncos at Cowboys -Raiders at Giants -Vikings at Ravens -Chargers at Eagles -Cardinals at 49ers -Titans at Rams -Bears at Steelers 6. Bold Predictions -Hal: Jordan Love with 4 total TD (2 TD passes, 2 TD runs) -DKrom: Cowboys lay a 60-burger on the Broncos 7. Challenge Flags -DKrom: Bengals…keep Joe Burrow upright!!! -Hal: Kevin Stefanski…figure it out QUICK!!!
The 1976 Buccaneers might have had one of the more memorably bad seasons in professional sports, but we tabletop sports simulation gamers are positively in love with that team. You can count on one thing when a new tabletop cards-and-dice gridiron game emerges: Folks will want cards for the 1976 season and the 1976 Buccaneers. But while those games give a glimpse into what that season might have been like to experience first-hand, Super Bowl champion Pat Toomay has the final word on what that campaign felt like in the flesh. Pat, who joined the Dallas Cowboys in 1970 —the year of the AFL-NFL merger — and won a ring with them in the 1971 season against dynasty-to-be Dolphins, talks about the difficulties of playing for that '76 Tampa Bay team in its inaugural year. But of course we delved into all phases of Pat's career, from the Cowboys to the 1975 Bills and, of course, “Dah Raidahs” from 1977 to 1979. Pat shares plenty here about the differences playing for Landry and Madden and alongside all the colorful Raider characters — Snake, Stork, Foo, Tooz and more. You likely also know of Pat as an author of two pivotal books about professional American football: The Crunch, detailing the Landry-era Cowboys, and “On Any Given Sunday,” the inspiration for Oliver Stone's film “Any Given Sunday” (in which Pat has a cameo as an assistant coach for Y.A. Tittle). Whether your game is APBA Football, Strat-O-Matic, Statis Pro, Paydirt!, Fast Drive Football, Game Winning Drive, Inside Blitz or any of many others, here's some real scoop about the real players behind the numbers Pat's interview commences at 10:27 Pat's Salon article “Fathers, Sons and Football”: https://www.salon.com/1999/10/08/football “A debilitating case of Bucs fever” by Pat Toomay: https://www.espn.com/page2/s/toomay/011227.html The 1976 Buccaneers' page on Pro Football Reference: https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/tam/1976.htm APBA Football store: https://apba.stores.yahoo.net/cosecase1.html Fast Drive Football: https://fastdrivefootball.com/
Nearly everything in life has a healthy dose of luck involved. Sports are no different, with one of the oldest cliches (“a game of inches”) continually ringing true. Football games can be decided by a fourth down mark (like 2016 Michigan-Ohio State) or even more absurdly, referee Gene Steratore measuring margins with an index card (like 2017 Cowboys-Raiders). When it comes to putting percentages on the PGA Tour, the difference 12 inches can make is vast. Many times it all boils down to luck.
