The off-season is about to be put in our rear-view mirror and the only question left if how disappointed - or maybe excited will we be when mid-October rolls around? We'll take a deep look at the depth chart and naturally take a long gaze at the Cincinnati Bearcats who chose to take a big payday to give their home fans a 9 1/2 drive and the chance to be outnumbered about 70K+ to 6000-7000 instead of playing in the Cincinnati area - the Bengals have a stadium, right? There'll be plenty to chat about and the comment board should be very active - get on there, will ya'? Huskers Happy Hour - let's do this.

New York Times bestselling and multi-award-winning author, Wanda E. Brunstetter, is considered one of the founders of the Amish fiction genre. Wanda's written more than 100 books, with over 12 million copies sold, and her work has been translated into 4 languages. Wanda's stories consistently earn spots on the nation's most prestigious bestseller lists. Wanda's ancestors were part of the Anabaptist faith, and her novels are based on personal research intended to accurately portray the Amish way of life. Her books are read and trusted by many Amish people, who credit her for giving readers a deeper understanding of the Amish and their customs. Martha Bolton is a prolific author of 89 books, a nominee for an Emmy, Writers Guild Award, and Dove Award, and a co-author of three NY Times bestselling books. She was also Bob Hope's first full-time female staff writer and wrote for his primetime TV specials as well as during 15 years of his personal appearances and special events, penning lines for a virtual Who's Who in entertainment, sports, and politics. She also co-authored the award-winning Dear Bob...Bob Hope's Wartime Correspondence with the GIs of WW2.Martha's stage work includes writing the script for the musical “The Confession,” based on Beverly Lewis' bestselling Confession trilogy. She also co-wrote “Half-Stitched” with director/composer Wally Nason, which is based on Wanda's bestselling book The Half-Stitched Amish Quilting Club. Martha also wrote the shows Josiah for President and The Home Game for Blue Gate Musicals, both of which have accompanying novels written by Martha.Wanda and Martha collaborated on their recently released book, The Rise and Fall of Miss Fanny's Biscuits: A Cozy Amish Mystery, which I've had the pleasure to read and can tell you it's an absolute gem of a mystery novel. If you like clever stories set in a world that I think most folks don't know in detail, then I highly recommend Miss Fannie's Biscuits to you. Of note, The Rise and Fall of Miss Fannie's Biscuits has also been adapted into a stage musical.

The Blues' contract with Eden Park is drawing to a close, and a decision on where they will move their home games to is yet to be made. In a survey sent to supporters, the franchise asked fans whether they would be more likely to attend Blues matches if they were moved to Mt Smart instead of Eden Park next Super Rugby season. Sportstalk host Jason Pine weighs in on the discussion. LISTEN ABOVESee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
The Blues are weighing up their future at the hallowed turf of Eden Park, with their contract coming to an end. The Super Rugby franchise have asked for public feedback on moving their home games to Mount Smart Stadium for the 2026 season. CEO Andrew Hore told Heather du Plessis-Allan they've seen an increase in broadcast numbers, but they've seen a much smaller increase in crowds over the last three years and they want to accelerate that. He says that moving from Eden Park may not be the answer, but it could be, and they've got to investigate all avenues. LISTEN ABOVE See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Beşiktaş suffered a devastating 1-2 loss at home against Çaykur Rizespor in their final home match of the season, missing a golden opportunity to overtake Samsunspor for third place in the Süper Lig standings. Despite João Mário's quick equalizer after Samet Akaydin's header gave Rizespor the lead, the Black Eagles once again struggled to create clear chances — a recurring theme throughout a frustrating season. As news broke that Trabzonspor had taken the lead against Samsunspor late in the second half, hope briefly surged through the stands. But that hope was dashed when Rizespor's Adama Sowe capitalized on critical errors from late substitutes Emirhan Topçu and Yakup Arda, scoring a 91st-minute winner to silence the home crowd. Ole Gunnar Solskjær's tactical decisions drew heavy criticism, especially the removal of the lively Keny Arroyo early in the second half and a puzzling double substitution during stoppage time that proved disastrous. For the first time, Beşiktaş fans inside the stadium visibly turned on the Norwegian coach, with social media and Turkish press intensifying calls for a local managerial change.
