On this week's episode... Tom takes over the gaming corner and goes deep on the Evil Dead universe and it's upcoming video game adaptation.  It's awards season and we discuss the Oscars and the Grammys.  Arthur breaks down the implications of the slap on Black Hollywood, and Tom sells him on the increased production value and amazing performances for music's biggest night. Everything Everywhere All At Once looks stunning and Art caught a special screening attended by star Michelle Yeoh.  She might be getting over covid, but she was healthy enough to throw him a high five. Atlanta is back!  The best show that you aren't watching is back with season three and Donald Glover starts it off by punching you right in the gut.  Our discussion of Episode 1 leads to some significant racial understanding as Art explains why black households have so many wash cloths. Lastly we get into Moon Knight Episode 1 and 2.  We aren't quite sold just yet, but Oscar Isaac is more than pulling his weight and giving a fun performance as we wait for the plot to fully develop. So, Join us on TALES TO ADMONISH

On this week's episode, Anthony Starr buys his way out of trouble, but only because the Spanish legal system is designed for it.  America's cowboy Sam Elliot takes issue with Power of the Dog and Benedict Cumberbatch reminds him that is fiction not a documentary.   This week on Arthur's Gaming Corner, Art tells Tom all about the new hit game Elden Ring.  He also breaks down the upcoming game Hogwart's Legacy, which is apparently more than just bigotry.   Art and Tom have both seen the Foo Fighter's horror flick, Studio 666, and I'll stick around for Dave Grohl's performance but the rest had us less than x-static.   Lastly, we just gush over Matt Reeve's The Batman.  Get ready for some thick New York noir accents as we embrace the style and brutality of this gritty take on the Caped Crusader.

On this week's episode, Arthur and Tom run down their thoughts on The Last Duel by Ridley Scott, Johnny Knoxville's Jackass Forever, and Tom Holland's video game adaptation Uncharted. Big Game weekend provided a ton of easter eggs for Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. We pick some of our favorites and expound on what we think they mean. Lastly we wrap up our coverage of Book of Boba Fett and DC's Peacemaker.  Boba Fett gives the people what they want and it isn't Boba Feet and Peacemaker sticks the landing, and hard!

One this week's episode, we celebrate the return of Ralph Garman and Kevin Smith's live podcast comedy show Hollywood Babble-On.  Tom and Arthur share stories about attending past recordings of these shows and conversing with the hosts. Arthur leads a brief rundown of 2022 movie releases.  Aside from the typical superhero fodder, he finds the upcoming schedule a little underwhelming. With Dakota Johnson cast as Madame Webb in an upcoming Sony Spider-verse movie we discuss how they realize this character without first giving us an actual Spider-man first. Arthur is not at all optimistic about their chances of success. After the latest episode of HBO Max's Peacemaker.  Its just another amazing offering from James Gunn and his crew.  While researching John Cena, Tom falls completely down the rabbit hole and is ready to start the temple of John Cena! Lastly, Book of Boba Fett creates the ultimate fan service episode.  While this series might be a bit flawed, all that pales in the light radiating from our childhood made manifest.

One this week's episode we discuss some upcoming releases The Batman, Halo and the Adam Project.  Johnny Knoxville has a life changing hit both with and in the new Jackass Movie Tesla institutes a recall due to a software setting that allows the car to roll stop signs.  Since this is a feature and not a bug, it's just a bit embarrassing. Last week we avoided any Peacemaker spoilers but that will not be the case this time!  We are excited to get into some of the pure weirdness that has been this show up to this point. We finish out the show by butting heads pretty hard on Book of Boba Fett.  We agree that the show is legitimately entertaining and, dare we say, great.  But the lack of Boba Fett in the show that bears his name, and if that even matters, becomes a point of contention.

On this week's episode, If you see a wild monkey in Eastern Pennsylvania, the CDC would like you to know that it is perfectly harmless but you should run away as fast as you can.  A case of mistaken identity leads to a cash windfall for one Oakland Charity and you might already have a part to play in the story. Marvel drops the trailer, following the teaser, of it's next series Moon Knight.  It's Marvel's Batman finally on screen and slightly psychotic as Marc Specter and his alter egos. Arthur has Tom watch the new Kyle Mooney Project, "S.M.A.S.H."  Unfortunately, this isn't Paul Mooney's show or Tom might have enjoyed it more.  Art still holds that it slaps. Everyone can agree that HBO's Peacemaker is a smash hit.  We break down the characters and scenarios in a rare spoiler free discussion.  It's that good. Lastly, we kick the tires on episode 4 of Book of Boba Fett but ultimately decide to punt it down the line.

On this week's episode, the hit of CES is a hyper realistic humanoid robot and Tom is having none of its emotional manipulations.  The Golden Globe winners were announced and if you didn't hear about it, you're not alone.  Naomi Wu discovers that Razer's Zephyr Mask fails N95 certification and her channel is, um, interesting. Don't Look Up is one of Netflix's most popular movies of all time and Tom has an existential crisis at the thought of watching it, and not just because of his weird Meryl Streep "thing." Lastly we break down some of the best moments from the new Disney+ Series, Book of Boba Fett.  NOW WITH DANNY TREJO!!!  Needless to say we're sold.

One this weeks episode, where we would normally talk a little about a lot, we will instead be talking a lot about a little and SPOILING ALL OF IT! First, we tie up the Marvel Christmas Spectacular that was Hawkeye by digging into the final episode.  Surprise villains and stellar newcomers  make this final episode feel like the start of something good. Next we pick apart The Matrix Resurrections.  Part 4 of the series is a super meta examination of the previous 3 films and, in Arthurs opinion, to the absolute detriment of the film. Lastly, we spend a good long time recounting our favorite moments in Spider-Man: No Way Home.  With so many banger scenes and developments it's no wonder we spend most of the episode just effusing over this cultural milestone for comic book fans.

This week, Arthur has seen Spider-Man No way Home and Tom hasn't, so, for lack of spoilers, we simply listen to Art weep just for the executives.  He has also seen the new South Park COVID special and refuses to spoil it for Tom despite the fact that he might never see it. Arthur also gives us a report on "The Game Awards," which is the prestigious video game accolade with perhaps the most pedestrian name possible. Tom offers more Seasonal Slaughter fun in the form of a review of the Creepshow Holiday Special.  Lycanthropes massacring an army of Mall Santas is about as good as it gets. We provide a brief breakdown of the new West Side Story remake.  It is a beautiful if somewhat flawed rendition of the Jerome Robbins classic and we pick it apart in our usual style. And it wouldn't be December if we didn't check in the Marvel's Hawkeye.  Episode 5 Just hit Disney plus and it has up pumped if not just a bit confused going into the final episode.

It's the most wonderful time of the year at Tales To Admonish! This week we spend most of the episode waxing nostalgic about some of our favorite things about the Holiday Season.   We bounce from Christmas classics like Emmet Otter's Jug Band Christmas and Frosty the Snowman to more modern classics like A Christmas Story, all while providing weird stories and anecdotes about these productions. Arthur gets sucked down the rabbit hole of Christmas Horror and receives a crash course in Slasher Santas and Season's Beatings.  We give the finer points of:  -Silent Night Deadly Night 1 & 2 - Black Christmas - Santa's Slay - Cadaver Christmas - Krampus - A Christmas Horror Story - Gremlins and more. And of course, we're following Hawkeye to the end of the year and this week brings "Episode 4 - Partners, Am I Right?"  Character building moments and Christmas cheer makes this the perfect bow on Marvel's season.

We pick apart the tiniest of details from the new Spider-Man: No Way Home Trailer.  The Brazilian cut left an interesting spoiler and we try to figure out what it means and consider the future of Marvel where Tom Holland is sucked into the Sony-Verse.that's a good thing Since we missed some time this summer, we engage in some much needed house cleaning and give our thoughts on the Ryan Reynold's flick Free Guy.  It's exactly what it says on the tin and it's darn enjoyable. Both of us have spent some time with our old friend Chucky and his new USA / SyFy series.  He is just as deranged and fun as you remember and we wax nostalgic on this horror icon. Our final discussion is on The Harder They Fall.  This feature debut by Jeymes Samuel hits all the right notes and we go through our favorite moments and break down all the great characters and performances.

We also speculate on how Sony and Marvel will go about integrating their respective comic universes in light of the recent Morbius trailer and Venom 2 End Credit Scene. Both of us just gush over Season 3 of What We Do In The Shadows. It is a rare show that only seems to get better as it goes along and just makes every episode feel like a classic.  Lastly, we go in on the Netflix phenomenon Squid Game.  We've been beating the drum on Asian cinema on this show for a while and it's pretty to exciting to see one go main stream in such a big way.  We talk about Easter eggs, fan theories and more so, welcome back folks, we hope you survive the experience.

Rick and Morty Season 5 is at it's half way point and while it seems to have washed off much of the stink that was season 4, it is by no means free of it's own sins.
