Khrysti, Matt, Andy and Quint are back to discuss their biggest take-aways from the season opener of the fifth season of “What We Do In The Shadows”!
We here at Three Geeky Dads Podcast are thrilled at the fact that What We Do In The Shadows has just begun it's 5th season. But we wanted to take a look back at the 2014 film that started it all. So, tonight, we take a look at one of our favorite "mockumentaries"...written and directed by Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi, the film follows the (after) lives of a group of vampire room mates, sharing a flat in Wellington New Zealand.
Today you are in for a real treat because this week on HOW DID WE GET WEIRD? we are joined by our friend the hilarious Mark Proksch (The Office, Better Call Saul) who is as friendly as he is funny. We discuss what it's like to grow out of things as a child, Mark's current doughnut preferences and learn the origins of the term "goppy." We also get deep into the story behind Kenny "K-Strass" Strasser, a character of Mark's who made the morning TV talk show circuit as a yo-yo expert who couldn't actually yo-yo, and we talk about the various reactions he got from news crews once they realized they weren't in on the joke. Plus, we parlay this conversation into a broader discussion about local morning shows and learn that Good Morning America's roots lie Jonah and Vanessa's hometown of Cleveland. Finally we play a thrilling round of LEGIT MOAN OR UNNECESSARY GROAN where we debate church etiquette, if commercials should be interrupted by the Emergency Broadcast System and why cars are so expensive if you only go to one dealership and don't do a ton of research. Yo-yo better check it out!! Check out "K-Strass Video on KQTV" to further understand Mark's talents! See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In this episode, Grace Leeder (@hifromgrace) and Lindsay preview season 5.
One of the most consistently funny shows out there is FX's "What We Do In The Shadows." While the writing and performances have received praise, the show's costumes and how they blend period and modern aesthetics to place these vampires in a contemporary setting is an underusing element that contains many subtle details from costume designer Laura Montgomery. A Primetime Emmy Award winner for the show's third season, Laura's work on season 4 is just as impressive, if not more so. She was kind enough to spend a few minutes talking with us about her work on the show, which you can listen to down below. Please be sure to check out the show, which is now streaming on Hulu, with the fifth season arriving on July 13th. Thank you, and enjoy! Check out more on NextBestPicture.com Please subscribe on...
