She's on a mission to build a community of moms who have the resources, techniques, and support they need to be their best selves at home and in the workplace. She founded Mom Training to assist other mothers to find more joy, love, and fulfillment by building a community where we can all grow.In this episode we cover* Why Diana started her podcast* What are these skillsets and how can other moms incorporate them* How do you create a routine and manage your time as a busy mom* How do you incorporate everybody into what you are doing* What tools or strategies do we need to use to help ourselves stay centered, make time and take care of ourself.Key Points- The first one is designing motherhood, which is you have to have like a vision. You have to have a goal. You have to know what you want is like, just going off of whatever you see all around you is never gonna like hit exactly what's in your heart, what you want to see in your own life, cuz everybody's life is gonna be different- The next one is time management and routine because you're not gonna be able to make your plan, execute it, have the energy that you need without, time management and routine. Because it really is a structure that needs to support you- That was the next one was your money management as a mom. To be able to actually create the life you want, you actually have to have money to support you in that.- The next one is relationships and communication where that one was specifically focused on their marriage, where they had really good communication- Just making sure that I communicate my needs and have a good support system, someone that I can talk to my mom or my husband when I'm feeling down and being able to just remember who I am and that, I can keep trying and getting better.- I'm doing a better job than I think I am. That's those are probably some mindsets that, I practice quite often to work on. And, and it's really helpful.ResourcesYou can follow Diana Ballard at:Website: https://www.dianaballard.com/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DianaballardliveInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/dianaballardlive/Join the mom training here: https://momtraining.mykajabi.com/Sign-Up-NowPodcast: The Mom Training PodcastYou can follow me at:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/i.am.angelabell/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/angela.bell.3597Website:  https://angelabell.ca/“Share, Subscribes and leave a review”

Respond Effectively to Stress Situations with Lindsey Peterson

The Responsive Woman came to being after Lindsey Peterson's journey of self discovery in motherhood.  She came to the realization that if she didn't want to lose herself completely and be exhausted all day, she needed to find a better way. She was drawn to the conscious discipline approach, designed to support kids with specific goals and strategies to take them out of that survival part of our brain and help them get to that higher part of our brain where we feel secure. She adapted the approach to fit her adult life, and the results were amazing. She stayed emotionally and physically strong, and her family began to prosper. She could be the mother and wife she always desired to be.The best part, she can teach you how to do the same. To adopt a brain-based method to respond effectively in stressful situations while remaining safe in yourself and connected to your loved ones. This lesson has the potential to change your life.In this episode we cover:What the responsive woman is all about? How do you even start moving out of survival mode? What tools are good to use to calm down or to find calm? What do our brains actually need? How can we help our kids with their big feelings, if we're not necessarily feeling good? How can we teach our children the calming technique?Key Points:Each part of the brain actually asks a question and this is based on brain developmental research or brain-based research, Dan Siegel, conscious discipline, Becky Bailey, they've really developed this kind of approach. What they say is that each part of the brain has a question and the survival part of the brain is asking the question, am I safe? And the function of that part of the brain is to keep you safe, it's to keep you alive. That's why we do those three reactions that fight-flight or freeze because we're trying to do whatever we can to stay alive. There are a lot of times where it's not actually a life or death situation. We just have to first recognize that and be like, is this a life or death situation? If it is okay, good use that fight flight or freeze. It's well designed. For a lot of the women I work with, it's being able to accept, help, recognize that sometimes I can't do this on my own and I need some help from people to help me with that need because I can't meet it on my own right now.Our goal is to move through the different stages, to get to the executive level of our brain before we try to engage and help our kids through what they're going through. If someone is interested, they can do one of two things right now. They can either book a call with me and be like, I'm legit ready? Like, how do we do this? How do I like it, how can Lindsay guide me in this process? I typically work with people for around six weeks. It's really fast because it's again, just skills building its awareness and it's helping design a specific plan for you. That's one of the options, or I'll give you a link to a free workshop that I have for people and it's called the failure cup workshops. I literally break all of this down even more and give more tools, more strategies to help someone really learn how to specifically fill their cup up. Maybe where they're at 50% and then hopefully we get them up even to 75, probably in that session. Like I would see that would be probably pretty feasible.Resources:You can follow Lindsey at:Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/lindsey.peterson.94849Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/theresponsivewoman/Website: https://theresponsivewoman.com/blogFree workshop: https://theresponsivewoman.com/f/mytreattoyouYou can follow me at:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/i.am.angelabell/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/angela.bell.3597Website:  https://angelabell.ca/“Share, Subscribes and leave a review”

Brooke Sumi and Becca Jesperson created In This Moment Box for kids. They wanted them to fully understand that life does not exist outside the present moment. Brooke has her masters in marriage and family therapy. She has spent the majority of her career working in a forensic setting with individuals who committed offenses against others. Brooks saw the power and efficacy of mindfulness and meditation while working in high-risk institutions, both for herself and the clients. Her current purpose includes introducing these concepts to children, looking through a more preventative lens versus a rehabilitation lens.  Becca has her master's in social work. After graduating, she worked at Sandridge a civil commitment center providing treatment for high-risk adult sex offenders here. She became experienced incorporating mindfulness in to her work as well as her own life. Much of Becca's work has been focused on helping individuals after they are involved with the criminal justice system. She is committed now to providing preventative resources, to help people earlier in life.At In This Moment, their mission is to help as many children as possible experience the benefits of mindfulness and living in the present moment. They recognize there are some children less fortunate than others. In an effort to provide more resources to those children, a percentage of sales will go to donating craftivity boxes to children in foster care. You can find In This Moment Box, along with Brook & Bekah at In This Moment (inthismomentbox.com)On Instagram @inthismomentboxOn Facebook In This Moment Box
