You can also catch our insightful interview on YouTube. Bio: Kelly Smith I'm the founder of Yoga For You, and the host of the Mindful in Minutes podcast. I'm an E-RYT 500, YACEP, and a location independent yoga and meditation teacher. I believe that there isn't a one-size-fits-all approach to yoga and meditation, and your practice should be as unique as you are. I began practice yoga when I was middle school as a form of cross training for my sports, but it wasn't until I was 16 and my world was rocked by my mom's breast cancer diagnoses, and being trust into the role of primary caregiver at such a young age that I realized that yoga and meditation had the ability to heal, save, and get you through your darkest days. The week after I graduated college I enrolled in my first yoga teacher training, and haven't looked back since. Over the past 7 years I've dedicated myself to the practice and my students, taught over 5,000 hours, led trainings and retreats all over the world, and began sharing my personal guided meditations on my podcast, Mindful in Minutes. I love to lift people up through their tough times, and help them find their true north by focusing on the less physical yoga practices like meditation, yoga nidra, restorative yoga and mindful flows. I believe there isn't a one-size-fits-all approach and the secret to success is finding what works for you. I created Yoga For You, a location independent yoga and meditation school to serve students and teachers all over the globe that are ready to take the step and find the joyful life they deserve. I spend my days traveling globally offering trainings in restorative yoga, meditation, yoga nidra and recording meditations from my closet. If you're curious about my story you can hear it in my own words on this special episode of my podcast. If you've been following me for some time, you know my grief and addiction recovery journey has benefited and been supported by countless tools for healing Kundalini yoga and ayurvedic medicine has been at the core of that and is a lifestyle I have chosen to continue on beyond plant medicines, beyond microdosing and has honestly benefited me more than anything else I've done since 2020 for my mind, body and spirit overall well Being Kundalini yoga combines breathwork, meditation, mudras, mantras that one can chant to activate the vagus nerve and truly purifies our body minds in ways that I haven't seen anything else do in my 24 years in the health/fitness/nutrition realms Today we talk to one of my newest mentors in this path, Sita Severson Finding my new teacher/mentor Sita Severson, at the Soul of Yoga, was a game changer in 2024 and has helped me find a new lease on life and my own personal journey of spiritual awakening Sita Severson is a lifelong clairvoyant whose love of working with people led her into the world of Yoga & Ayurveda in 2005. Protect your peace with Mindfulness ☮️Namaste
Let's go on a journey of Self-Love! With this 15+ day prompt, we can begin with focus! Namaste
Samskaras are thought of as patterns, mental impressions, recollections, or physiological imprints. In yoga philosophy, it is believed that every action or intent creates a samskara in a person's mind. These samskaras then live in a person and manifest as tendencies, karmic impulses, or dispositions throughout their life.Namaste
This is one of my favorite mantras, repeating “Be the Love” whilst meditating reminds me to just be. Sometimes we don't feel seen or loved. Forgetting that love isn't a gift. It just is. You can't control it. Just let Love Be and just Be the Love.

In this episode, Tara Eschenroeder delves into the concept of "rewilding" as a return to our natural, instinctual state of being. Tara shares her practices for rediscovering this inner compass, including journaling, movement, discussion, and time in nature, all aimed at peeling back layers of societal conditioning and distraction. She emphasizes the role of childlike play and curiosity as pathways to reconnect with our wild, intuitive selves, drawing inspiration from the way children approach life with imagination and openness. The episode also explores the importance of acknowledging and transforming inherited generational patterns, finding balance between disciplined practices and devotion to one's higher self, and embracing community as a space for authentic connection and growth. Tara's insights inspire listeners to embrace curiosity, rediscover their wildness, and live with greater authenticity and joy.--Tara (Becky) Eschenroeder is a 500-hour E-RYT, RCYT, YACEP, certified coach, self-published author, and an inspiring yogi recognized among the top three yoga instructors by Richmond Magazine. Rachel Friedman, MSW, ERYT 500, YACEP, is the founder of Beyond The Yoga Mat, and Soma Power Yoga where she helps people learn how to elevate their life through the power of yoga and somatics. She supports yoga facilitators, therapists, coaches, and healers in growing their biz and their impact. She believes our bodies hold the wisdom and medicine we need to heal and live an incredible human experience — one where we learn to feel all emotions. Within her 25+ years in the wellness industry, Rachel has seen hundreds of people change their relationship with themselves through the power of yoga & somatics (aka - body-based healing). Like many people, Rachel struggled with high-functioning anxiety for many years. On the outside everything appeared "good.' She had her own business, 2 great kids, and a husband. But inside it felt like at any moment everything was going to come crashing down. She was a tight ball of anxiety. Overthinking, overanalyzing everything. Struggling to get a good night's sleep, feeling completely exhausted and burnt out. Thinking that if she could just escape for a short amount of time everything would be ok. But even after a vacation, the feeling didn't go away. It wasn't until Rachel learned how to tune into her body using yoga & somatic practices that she was able to change the relationship she had with herself and her anxiety. Instead of trying to make the anxiety go away, she learned how to UnShame it and use its energy to enhance her life. Now Rachel feels so fortunate that she gets to pass these tools down to you! It's common knowledge that the vast majority of us will experience low back pain at some point in our lives. Today we hone in on an aspect of low back pain that is less commonly considered and discussed: pain in or around the sacroiliac joints. Rachel Land hosts yoga studio owner, YACEP, Yoga Medicine Therapeutic Specialist, and 1000-hour teacher Kelsea Wright, whose capstone research project was a comparison of two interventions for long-term SI joint pain. Shawn J. Moore is a Mindfulness Educator and Coach, Stillness Architect, and Buddhist Dharma practitioner. Residing at the intersection of leadership and mindfulness, Shawn creates sacred spaces for stillness and self-inquiry to help change-makers align their strengths, intention, and impact. Through his integrative approach, he holds transformative containers for self-renewal, personal discovery, and capacity-building that ease clients on their journey towards peace, clarity, and freedom. The path to collective growth is rooted firmly in our personal growth. As we work towards collective freedom, Shawn asks: How can you begin to support yourself to be able to support others? Are you pouring into others from the excess of your full cup?Shawn has an intuitive way of weaving all that he has learned on his path to help those on the inner journey of discovery to reflect on those questions – including meditation, sound healing, yoga nidra, and coaching. Shawn has worked in higher education and student affairs for over 10 years, specializing in leadership development, training/program design, and workshop facilitation – with a particular focus on diverse populations. Reckoning with his own contemplation of burnout, purpose, and alignment, Shawn transitioned out of his role as Associate Dean of Student Life & Leadership at Morehouse College in the fall of 2021 to focus more on mindfulness and stillness-based training programs and workshops. While leadership resonates with him deeply, it is his personal and spiritual practices that allows him to continue to show up for himself and others. He is a yoga teacher (E-RYT® 200, RYT® 500, YACEP®), sound and reiki practitioner, meditation teacher, Yoga Nidra facilitator, and Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach, all focused through a Buddhist lens and 17 years of personal practice. In addition to holding community space through classes, he provides training in leadership and strengths-based development, and workshops in mindfulness, meditation and sound healing. He has contributed workshops, practices, and educational opportunities for celebrities, like Questlove and Dyllón Burnside, as well as various yoga studios and colleges, Yoga International, Omstars, Melanin Moves Project, the Human Rights Campaign, Spotify and Lululemon. In this special episode, we discuss:Self-InquiryFrictionLiminal spaceSlowing downResistance to stillnessBreaking cyclesStillness as a path to transformational changeResourcing ourselvesCommunityCompassionGentleness with ourselvesConnect with Shawn on his website and on Instagram @shawnj_mooreYou can purchase Shawn's Sadhana Decks here.Podcast music by Charles Kurtz+ Read transcript
Danielle Dulsky shares her new book Bones & Honey: A Heathen Prayer Book. Heathen is another word for dweller of the hearth. This devotional book is filled with prayers, stories, and poetry inspired by nature and paganism. It offers a way to heal from modernity using spiritual nourishment, spellwork, and eco-devotional language. You can read it slowly or all at once, and it's perfect for anyone seeking daily spiritual inspiration. In her book "Bones & Honey," Danielle Dulsky delves into the growing trend of people embracing a slower, more mindful way of living that is rooted in sustainability and a deep connection with the Earth. Through the exploration of thirteen archetypes and their corresponding themes, such as the Mountain Mage (representing solitude), the Bone-Witch (symbolizing grief), the Heathen Queen (embodying empowerment), and the Shepherd (reflecting nurturing), Dulsky invites readers to embark on a journey towards the "third road"- a path that emerges from the tension between opposing forces. With its rich symbolism and insightful wisdom, "Bones & Honey" offers a guide to a more meaningful and fulfilling life that is in harmony with nature. In the practice of Danielle, the use of "bones" and "honey" is quite common. Bones refer to the remains that are left after an initiation when everything else falls apart. They are associated with darkness, death, and dying. Honey, on the other hand, is a symbol of life's sweetness, golden medicine, and a promise of renewal. In witchcraft, art, and life, it is essential to understand and embrace both aspects. We must acknowledge the transient nature of our existence and have the wisdom to appreciate and celebrate the beauty of our time on this planet. Bones & Honey is arranged into the following thirteen books that are organized around specific archetypes and their themes: Book of Stars: Prayers for Hope's Troublemakers, Impossible Freaks, and Stubborn Visionaries Book of Wild Lovers: Prayers for Lust, Seduction, and Majestic Relatedness Book of the Bone-Witch: Prayers for Grievers, Death Walkers, and Shadow Kin Book of the Heathen Queen: Prayers for Empowerment, Sovereignty, and Truth Telling Book of the Moon: Prayers for Secret Keepers, Midnight Poets, and Fringe Dwellers Book of the Mountain Mage: Prayers for Sacred Solitude, Transformation, and Inner Alchemy Book of the Wounded Healer: Prayers for Heartache, Healing, and the Shining Self Book of the Nameless Grandmothers: Prayers for Ancestral Healing, Lineage Exploration, and Forgiveness Book of the Pagan Warrioress: Prayers for Battle, Bone Gathering, and Rough Beauty Book of the Botanical Babe: Prayers for Innocents, Beginnings, and Wild Children Book of the Shepherd: Prayers for Nurturing, Self-Love, and Space Tending Book of Shape-Shifters: Prayers for Time Weavers, Human Evolution, and Strange Futures Book of Bones and Honey: Prayers for the Bittersweetness of a Most Heathen Life Danielle believes in the power of the wild feminine and human-to-nature intimacy. She is the author of The Holy Wild: A Heathen Bible for the Untamed Woman and Woman Most Wild: Three Keys to Liberating the Witch Within. She translates the wild feminine into motherhood, magick, multimedia art, and teachings of embodied spirituality, writing, and movement alchemy. Danielle is a Celtic free-style Witch, a lover of Irish Paganism, an E-RYT500 and YACEP through Yoga Alliance, a mist-dweller, and a shadow-walker. May all beings come home to the wilds. www.danielledulsky.com

The brilliant Anne Ondrey is back for another interesting conversation. This on helping the bendy yogi. AKA hyper mobility. I found our conversation interesting not just because I learned so much about the topic - which I certainly did. But because, despite my own hyper mobility, I realized that my understanding of the topic was in fact terribly LIMITED! Mind-blown! The research and expanded thoughts Anne presents on this topic are critical to the longevity and safety of our yoga students. We all need to hear this. And for your reference, I'll share Anne's credentials: MSW, E-RYT, YACEP, C-IAYT, FST Level 3, NKT Level 1, Usui and Karuna Reiki Master, Yoga TuneUp® Certified Instructor. APPS: StressScan + WebMAP. Honesty Bomb, Magic Makers: I'm a recovering co-dependent person with anxiety...Over the past few months I switched from "regular" talk therapy to a new healing modality: Somatic Therapy, which focuses on healing the nervous system. One of the tools I use regularly is breathwork, which is why I'm so excited to speak with Kate Crawford, a Certified Trauma-Informed Breathwork Practitioner (600+ hrs YACEP), and the founder and CEO of Korē Breathwork. From Kate: Throughout my 15-year-long career as a highly empathic Physical Therapist, I witnessed first hand the undeniable connection between my clients stuck in pain + chronic illness and their unexpressed emotions. My signature breath technique, informed by my own healing journey and medical background, profoundly shifts the relationship that my beautifully sensitive clients have with themselves; clearing the held emotional trauma at the root of their discomfort and allowing them to move forward in a life of unapologetic alignment with who they truly are.
