Is it a healthy boundary, or are you just pushing something good away? In today's episode, I'm getting very real about the breakup I just went through, how hard it was to walk away from something that felt safe, and the deep emotional battle between fear and alignment. I'm reading straight from my journal after ending the relationship, and sharing what finally gave me clarity. Then, I'm answering a listener's question about what to do when someone shows up the right way and it still freaks you out. Honestly I am going to need to make a part 2, because after watching it back, I might be looking at things differently...I'll end it with a wild “one's gotta go” segment, because f**k it.Work with me, sign up for the newsletter, or take the dating quiz: https://confidencechris.com/Chapters: 00:00 Intro: Boundaries vs Self-Sabotage + Post Break up Journal44:52 Overcoming Sabotaging Peaceful Partners After Toxic Relationships55:18 Pick 2: Tightness, Wetness, Balanced PH

THE BALANCED MOMTALITY- Pelvic Floor/Core Rehab For The Pregnant and Postpartum Mom
Hey Friend, Have you been practicing your breath work and deep core breathing? Hoping to help heal back pain, or pelvic or tailbone pain? Or maybe pain with sex? Or maybe you just know that breath work is the key to healing and restoring a strong core system. Either way, everyone should be doing breath work, especially if they have any pain or pelvic floor or core dysfunction. I have talked on many episodes about balancing and lengthening tight muscles using the deep core breathing techniques. Using the diaphragm, the breath gets pushed deep into the core system and should be filling from the bottom up. This helps lengthen and massage the tight spaces in your core and can truly help resolve so much pain with just using this deep core breathing, especially in different yoga positions I have talked about in other episodes. Inside this week's episode I am diving much deeper into the breathwork and how I instruct women to get more specific and intune to their bodies as they continue this practice. So that they can not only release tightness, but begin to feel the micro changes in the breath and what is expanding so that you can start to feel and compare when they might not be expanding as much as they were and catch the tightness before it causes symptoms like pain and leaking. We can use the breath to be very proactive and preventive by identifying these imbalances and getting more specific on where your body's tightness is. These are strategies that I talk about inside my online virtual program, Restore, which is hosted on my FREE App Pelvic Floor, Core & MORE! RESTORE is my first 10 wk online signature program hosted inside my new platform that will be an APP soon Pelvic Floor, Core & More! Inside that program I walk you through the basics of healing, restoring your breathing, posture, core function and overall strength and return to impact and intensity. All with the guidance of me, a Pelvic Floor PT, in your pocket making sure that you are getting individualized support and feedback through the program during our weekly group coaching calls! This option is great for those that can't afford a one-on-one session for $200-$240, those that don't have access to a pelvic floor PT in person or those that want to have a structured organized program with support as they are phasing out of acute therapy treatments and working more independently.
Speaker: Greg Shearer, Head of Base and Precious Metals Research Limited copper supply growth and resilient global demand sets up a tighter forecasted refined copper market in 2H25 and 2026 and keeps us medium-term bullish on prices. While current slack in China and the potential for greater tariff headline volatility over the next month risks a near-term pullback in copper, we ultimately believe global demand will begin to stress copper balances later this year. Moreover, likely excess inventory builds in the US in the coming months ahead of a tariff on copper sets up the potential to leave the rest of the world shorter of copper than expected, driving more significant tightening to copper balances in China and Asia into the summer, setting the stage for our forecasted bullish push higher over 2H25 towards $10,400/mt. Dr. Michele Gelfand is a cultural psychologist and author of Rule Makers, Rule Breakers. She joins us to discusses how “tight” and “loose” cultures shape societies. Tight cultures, like Japan's, respond to threats with strict rules and order, while looser ones, like the U.S., allow greater flexibility. Gelfand suggests a balanced “Goldilocks” approach, adjusting strictness and flexibility to suit each environment's needs, from families to organizations. She also explores online accountability, recommending "nudges" to promote civility, and sees AI as a potential tool for managing biases and promoting understanding. I couldn't keep this one just to myself. It's too good. Sept. 21 1998 at the Cox Arena is San Diego is a truly magical night. Everyone is playing at 11 and they achieve that elusive synergy wherein the total equals more than the sum of their parts. In How Many More Times, I've never heard the rhythm section sound better or more locked in. Jimmy is 10/10 judged on a Zeppelin scale. He's precise, inventive, and just a demon with the bow solo, the medleys, and just overall on top of it. Better than the Bizarre Festival in my opinion. There's a brief Achilles reference played by Jimmy, a bit of Trampled Underfoot, some of the Isley Bros. It's Your Thing, all played with insane TIGHTNESS. I play Most High, a tight a modern Whole Lotta Love, and the best How Many More Times I've heard since the early 70's. I must say that Robert is an 11/10 hear both in range and in engagement. If you watch the video of this show (Dario Romero's YouTube channel) you will a borderline ecstatic Robert bouncing throughout the show. Just unreal.

Aching tightness, head-splitting migraines, breathing issues, and poor sleep quality — these are all signs of trapped tension in your body. The good news is that exercising one specific (and often forgotten) body part can help restore your well-being… I'm talking about your tongue… I first discovered how to unlock the power of whole-body tension relief when Dr. Neel Bulchandani visited my house and did some very unique body therapy on me (including putting his fingers into my mouth and my nasal cavity to 'adjust' those sections)! I later released an Instagram post about his groundbreaking Tongue Press program — a video series and guide designed to optimize tongue mobility. Dr. Bulchandani is a holistic chiropractor and bodywork educator who has poured over 15 years of chiropractic expertise and five years of training fellow bodyworkers into creating not just Tongue Press, but his other unique methods as well. Trusted by nearly 10,000 patients, his method is a welcomed solution for anyone struggling with persistent stiffness, pain, or even chronic conditions like TMJ, back pain, and digestive issues. Dr. Bulchandani's approach isn't just about temporary relief but about empowering you with tools for long-term healing and improved mobility. *If you want to try his Tongue Press program, you'll receive a masterclass packed with videos, audio, and a detailed PDF guide. Breakdown to Breakthrough with Lisa A. Romano 4 Odd Trauma Responses Your Body Holds Onto In this insightful episode, Lisa A. Romano explores how unhealed trauma responses can remain stuck in the body, manifesting as physical symptoms that often go unnoticed or misunderstood. Lisa discusses four unusual trauma responses that may be affecting you more than you realize: Tightness in the Belly: This common response is often linked to unresolved fear or anxiety, stemming from past traumatic experiences. The body holds onto this tension, signaling that something remains unresolved. Freaking Out When Things Start Going Well: For many, success or happiness triggers a fear response. This reaction is rooted in the belief that good things won't last, leading to self-sabotage or overwhelming anxiety just when life starts to improve. Mistaking Thinking for Feeling: Trauma can disconnect you from your emotions, leading you to rely heavily on thinking rather than truly feeling. This can create a barrier to emotional healing, as the mind takes over what the heart needs to process. Pursed Lips or Tightness in the Face, Neck, and Jaw: Chronic tension in these areas physically manifests suppressed emotions, particularly anger or frustration. This response can become habitual, reflecting unexpressed feelings stuck in the body. Lisa delves into how these physical responses are not just quirks but signals from your body that something deeper needs attention. By recognizing and understanding these trauma responses, you can heal the mind-body connection, release stored tension, and move towards a more balanced, authentic self. Welcome back to our weekend Cabral HouseCall shows! This is where we answer our community's wellness, weight loss, and anti-aging questions to help people get back on track! Check out today's questions: Maggie: I'm on the last week of the 21 Day Detox and feel amazing. Do you recommend I do another protocol of yours? Maya: Hello doctor Cabral, I'm a 45-year-old woman with a lot of goals I want to achieve. However, my monthly cycle appears to hinder my progress. During the initial two weeks post period, I feel enthusiastic, energetic, clear-minded, and ready to conquer the world. But, a few days after ovulation, I experience a decline in energy. My workouts become more draining, my thoughts turn negative, and I struggle to stay on track with my goals. I know that this is likely due to hormonal fluctuations, but I would love to maintain consistent energy levels throughout my cycle. Are there any supplements or strategies I could implement to sustain this energy? It's worth noting that I lead a healthy, active lifestyle and am very mindful of my cycle. Thanks so much for your answer, you're the best! Maya Kristen: Hi Dr. Cabral! Thank you for your podcast, I've been learning a lot from it. I'm a dietitian and I'm having a really hard time understanding the food sensitivity tests that functional medicine practitioners use (listened to recent episode on that). This is a test that dietitians generally do not use. From my understanding, these tests reflect a normal ‘reaction' to the foods that we have recently and regularly eat. When they remove these foods during the elimination phase and retest, it only makes sense that the IgG response to these foods is lower, since it hasn't recently been eaten. When these clients come to me with these results, I rarely pay attention to the results, but rather focus on ‘cleaning up' their diets, lifestyle, etc. Would love to hear your thoughts on my view! Jack: I completeled a mycotoxin test I have high mycophenolic acid how can I detox it out of system where did it come from please help Erin: Thoracic pain/tightness…I grew up playing sports and then played competitive golf through college. I remember at the beginning of every round my upper back was always sooo tight and it felt like a really deep tightness. So much so it interfered with my swing but after 3-4 holes it started to loosen. Fast forward to now and it seems my thoracic area is constantly tight and if I do weights or like yesterday, a lot of raking, that area is so sore and tight today. What is causing this and what can i do? Sometimes i feel it constricts my breathing when it gets so tight after heavy weights or physical activity involving my upper body. Join our Stronger Than Your Boyfriend Facebook group to ask questions that we will address on the podcast!Question 1: I DREAD leg day because of my lower back. It doesn't "hurt" necessarily but it's just tight ALL of the time. Any advice? I've googled but it gives me so many extreme scenarios. I don't think it's anything major, but I also don't want it to turn into anything major. Is this normal? Should I focus more on stretching or maybe focus on strengthening it?Question 2: I have tennis elbow. I have been resting my upper body and any lower body that pulls for months. I have done some stretching of the wrists. I have seen a special massage therapist twice. I am SO sick of this pain. What exercises have you found that are helpful to strengthen the area when it's recovering and prevent tennis elbow in the first place as I (hopefully!!) heal up.Question 3: So, l'm meant to be doing wide grip lat pull downs as shown, but I see many people at the gym doing them while leaned back a fair amount. Is there a difference in what's being worked? Is this due to the equipment we have available?Check out our program STRONGER www.barpathfitness.com/stronger

There's no way to know the full extent to which people claiming to use multiple forms of birth control are virtue signaling. Sure, it's believable that in early sexual encounters people might use a condom as well as the pill, to protect against STIs. But there's definitely some sort of limit here, and later in a relationship the benefit derived is pretty unclear. MFF threesomes are pretty commonplace in men's fantasy arsenals. But it's less common for men to think through the mechanics and the consequences. For example, what will the second woman do while he's interacting with the first? And, of course, this is all assuming that the threesome isn't really because the two women want to pursue a lesbian experience. And, to what lengths might a man go to avoid giving oral sex to his female partner? Should oral sex be considered "table stakes" in intimate relationships? We get a lot of our questions from Reddit, so for our listeners' enjoyment, here are links to some of the questions we discussed this week: https://ymmv.me/161/threesome https://ymmv.me/161/plug https://ymmv.me/161/smell https://ymmv.me/161/pill Twitter: @ymmvpod Facebook: ymmvpod Email: ymmvpod@gmail.com

In this episode with Yogi Aaron, we delve into the misconceptions surrounding yoga and the importance of understanding the true purpose of the practice. Yogi shares his personal journey of experiencing chronic pain and how it led him to question the traditional approach to yoga. Yogi discusses the history of yoga, the stereotypes associated with it, and the need for a more comprehensive understanding of the practice. He emphasizes the importance of focusing the mind and cultivating inner peace through yoga. We also explore the concept of muscle activation technique and its role in addressing muscle imbalances and pain. Yogi discusses the importance of movement and muscle activation for aging well and reducing pain. Yogi explains that as people age, their bodies tighten up as a protective mechanism, but by activating the muscles at the joints, the body can feel safe to move again. He emphasizes the need to reframe the understanding of tightness as a protective state and suggests muscle activation as a way to heal and improve range of motion. He also shares the one pose, called Superman pose, that can help strengthen the back muscles and improve posture. Finally, we discuss the intersection of stability and flexibility and how cultivating stability can lead to greater freedom of movement and overall well-being. Takeaways > Yoga is often misunderstood and associated solely with stretching, but it encompasses much more, including the cultivation of inner peace and the ability to access the inner sanctum at any moment. > Stretching alone is not enough to address muscle imbalances and chronic pain. Muscle activation technique, which focuses on strengthening and activating the neuromuscular connection, can be more effective in promoting stability and relieving pain. > The practice of yoga should not be limited to physical postures but should also include concentration and focus of the mind. By training the mind to be present and focused, individuals can experience a sense of peace and become better versions of themselves. > The traditional stereotypes associated with yoga, such as the image of a certain demographic or the emphasis on stretching, can create misconceptions and hinder a deeper understanding of the practice. > Cultivating stability in the body is essential for maintaining mobility and preventing injury. Stability and flexibility are interconnected, and focusing solely on flexibility without stability can lead to instability and further issues. Age is defined by our ability to move, and as we age, our bodies tighten up as a protective mechanism. Muscle activation can help heal and improve range of motion, even in conditions like frozen shoulder syndrome. > Tightness is a protective state, and getting muscles to work properly can reduce tightness and pain. > Neurological strength before exercise is crucial for better outcomes and muscle development. Yogi Aaron discusses the problems with stretching and the importance of muscle activation. He explains that overstretching can weaken muscles and lead to instability. Instead of stretching, he recommends focusing on muscle activation exercises to strengthen the muscles and improve stability. Yogi Aaron also addresses the use of rolling and smashing techniques, highlighting that they may provide temporary relief but do not address the root cause of the problem. He emphasizes the importance of addressing the root cause of tightness and instability to achieve long-term results. Finally, he challenges the notion that extreme flexibility, such as doing splits, is necessary or beneficial for everyone. Yogi Aaron discusses the importance of dynamic movement in martial arts and how it can improve stability and range of motion. He introduces muscle activation techniques and explains how they can strengthen weak muscles and prevent injuries. Yogi Aaron emphasizes the benefits of isometrics and slow movements in building neuromuscular connections. He highlights the common weaknesses in the core and hip flexors and provides exercises to address them. Yogi Aaron also discusses the importance of muscle activation in exercise and offers solutions for self-healing through his Yama course.
