Discussing social, moral and political issues and reviewing local Australian NEWS and world events from a Christians perspective. Is our modern society on a 'Slippery Slope'? This is my point of view.
Footage has captured the moment police confronted a street preacher for holding a sign with a Bible verse on it outside the Sydney Opera House. Local evangelist Mike McCarthy, 72, shared video of five security guards and two NSW Police officers confronting him on Saturday. The 72-year-old was walking around outside the Opera House with a handheld sign.Intro song is 'Bring Me Down'Buy Me a CoffeeThe Slippery Slope SpotifyJ Fallon SpotifyThe Slippery Slope Apple PodcastsThe Slippery Slope YouTube#jfallonmusic#theslipperyslopepodcast
The quote, "First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionist, and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist. And then they came for the Jew, and I didn't speak out because I was not a Jew. And then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak for me." This reflects what I observe happening in Queensland and across Australia. They continuously erode everyone's human rights.Children are committing adult crimes, so they must face adult punishment. This may infringe on their rights, but that doesn't matter; they are just children without decent parents or support. They lack advocates. Hence, their voices go unheard.Consider the other victims, too. So we overlook children's rights and ignore the plight of homeless individuals being pushed away. They're homeless, after all, without money, and they contribute little to society. So we don't just remove them from the area; we also destroy what little they have.Take the Brazilian man who becomes homeless due to bushfires and builds a small home for himself—he's just a Brazilian. Who cares? This pattern unfolds in Australia, where local councils and state and federal governments repeatedly target us, one by one. No one seems to care. Each small group goes unnoticed. It's not about us, they think—it's about the homeless and the misbehaving children. But eventually, they will come for you, too, and there may be no one left to speak up. This is merely my opinion. We are standing by while Local Councils and Governments slowly encroach on our human rights.Basic Rights Queensland legal practice director Sam Tracy said they would argue that the City of Moreton Bay had violated their clients' human rights."We believe the obligations in regards to people's human rights have not been sufficiently taken into account," Mr Tracy said."We can't simply continue to stand back and watch people's tents, possessions, and stability be thrown away."Intro song is 'Bring Me Down'Buy Me a CoffeeThe Slippery Slope SpotifyJ Fallon SpotifyThe Slippery Slope Apple PodcastsThe Slippery Slope YouTube#jfallonmusic#theslipperyslopepodcast

Quote Pope Francis: All religions are paths to God. I will use an analogy; they are like different languages that express the divine. But God is for everyone, and therefore, we are all God's children. “But my God is more important than yours!”. Is this true? There is only one God, and religions are like languages, paths to reach God. Some Sikh, some Muslim, some Hindu, some Christian. Understood? Is this what the Bible says or was Pope Francis teaching a different gospel?Intro song is 'Bring Me Down'Buy Me a CoffeeThe Slippery Slope SpotifyJ Fallon SpotifyThe Slippery Slope Apple PodcastsThe Slippery Slope YouTube

Solomon, in one of the most unwise decisions of his reign as king of Israel, ordered pagan temples to be erected. One of these pagan deities was Molech (sometimes spelled Moloch or Molek, depending on your Bible translation). Though the Lord had forbidden pagan worship, and named Molech specifically, Solomon and his people had fallen into a period of apostasy from the ways of the Lord. Who Was Moloch / Molech in the Bible? As we read in Leviticus 18:21, the worship of Molech included infanticide; specifically, it included the murder of infants as a pagan sacrifice. God was very clear in his prohibition of Molech worship and sacrifices. According to Scripture, this worship took place primarily in the Hinnom Valley at Topheth, a place in the valley that translates to “pit of flame” (2 Kings 23:10). Molech is usually depicted as a bull-headed anthropomorphic deity, which was heated until glowing like flames. Then, as the pinnacle of worship, an infant would be placed in his hands while his devotees listened to the infant cry as it burned to death before their eyes. Such worship demonstrates such a depth of depravity, such a disregard for the sanctity of life —innocent life — that only the most moral degenerate could justify it. The past week we Queenslanders have seen some fairly horrific headlines regarding violence toward children. From the Courier Mail headline of a father saying “I'm happy she died” Sunday the 26th of January we saw a headline stating “Woman charged over death of nine-year-old boy in Townsville” But is it any surprise that a nation that accepts the killing of the unborn, all the way up till birth, also has an issue with violence against children? Whether it be withholding lifesaving medicine or physically beating a child to death or taking the life of the unborn in the womb. Murder is murder. What the Bible does tell us is this: children have a special place in God's heart and anyone who harms a child is inviting God's wrath upon himself. When Jesus' disciples tried to keep children from coming to Jesus, He rebuked them and welcomed the children to His side, saying, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these” (Mark 10:14). Then He took the children in His arms and blessed them (verse 16). The Bible promotes child blessing, not child abuse.
