Spoilers for 'Edgar' introductory scenario by Oliver Vulliamy and 2dSF in Itras By: MenagerieShow NotesThis week, Fiona is joined by Doro, Frank, Jon, Kat, and special GM Rob for Itras By: A surreal roleplaying game set in a city full of strange occurrences, unusual places, and bizarre characters. Published by Vagrant Workshop, Itras By is a setting that lies somewhere between European city life in the 1920s and the dream worlds of depth psychology. At first glance, the city looks like a backdrop in a faded photograph. A snapshot from the beginnings of modernity. Trams, hats, the first automobiles, black & white silent films. But beneath that facade, we can hear the unpredictable murmur of our collective subconscious. The monsters in the basement of our psyche. In the city center, reality is relatively stable, but the further afield you get, the more it deteriorates, mutates, and becomes dream-like.You can find out more information about Itras By and buy your own copy on the Itras By website.TimestampsIntro: 00:00:09Gameplay intro: 00:01:34Intro to Itras By: 00:04:26Introduction to the characters: 00:09:58Oneshot starts: 00:16:58Credits: 01:26:26CreditsThe 'What Am I Rolling?' podcast was created, recorded, and edited by Fiona Howat. The WAIR logo was created by Fiona Howat. This episode's players are Fiona, Doro, Frank, Jon, and KatThis episode's guest GM was Rob.This episode's RPG was for Itras By: A surreal roleplaying game published by Vagrant Workshop. Show NotesTo tide us over til our next one-shot, here's a bonus episode where our host and GM Fiona interviews game designer and illustrator Fede Sohns about their upcoming RPG, 'Zephyr: An Anarchist Fantasy Game of Fleeting Identities'.The Zephyr are the feelings of a living sentient landmass called Ophio that wanders across endless salt flats. The alien feelings come in the colours of cyan, magenta, yellow and black but can merge into hatred, love, longing - all the emotions known to us. Moreover, the Zephyr has physical form, shaping itself into mountains, rivers, plains as well as living beings.Players play as Windfolk, creatures who live on the periphery of Ophoi, who, one day, depart from their communities to fulfill sacred obligations. They use tokens of the 4 colours to represent the composition of their characters, keeping track of their constitution, spend them as energy to overcome challenges as well as fusing them to slowly build the sentimental bonds that will shape their identitiesThe Kickstarter campaign for Zephyr launches 1st February and you can go check it out here!TimestampsIntro: 00:00:10Q&A start: 00:01:51Outro: 00:34:41Fede's work & socialsAraukana Media website'Zephyr: An Anarchist Roleplaying Game Of Fleeting Identities' KickstarterAraukana Media Twitter (@Araukana1)Araukana Media on Instagram (@Araukana_media)Fede's Twitter (@FSohns)Araukana Media on DiscordCreditsThe 'What Am I Rolling?' podcast was created, recorded, and edited by Fiona Howat. The WAIR logo was created by Fiona Howat.Q&A guest was game designer and illustrator Fede Sohns.
