Learn with Victoria as Gabriella teaches everyone about Sanna Marin, one of the youngest leaders in the world at 37 years old, The Prime Minister of Finland. It's interesting how Gabriella even learned about Sanna Marin, we also learn why the Prime Minister believes Finland is one of the Happiest Nations in the World. While Gabriella went globally, Victoria stayed semi-Locally. Learn about one of Michigan's Senators, Senator Mallory McMorrow. Victoria explains who Mallory is and how she learned about her. Senetor McMorrow has been making stands for women and children and in this episode the ladies learn how. Victoria and Gabriella also touch on a few other polictical issues that are currently going on and they continue to strive to learn from the Inspiring Women they bring to the podcast!
Hello all, in this episode the ladies of Women In Real Life reviewed the Netflix show Sex, Love and Goop. This show, from Gwyneth Paltrow, follows couples who are struggling with sexual dysfunction. The ladies, or maybe only one of them, was a little hesitant to watch the series. Listen as Gabriella & Victoria get into the nitty-gritty about communication and learn new therapy types and how they were pleasantly surprised by the real and genuine emotions and discoveries made in the show. They discuss their favorite therapists from the show, how they related with the different couples showcased, and chat some of the new ideas they want to bring into their own romantic lives.

The ladies of W.I.R.L. ventured over to downtown Glen Ellyn, Illinois for an afternoon of shopping and eating! Dining at A Toda Madre (tapas-style Mexican restaurant) was such a highlight. Victoria & Gabriella recommend their trio of guacamole (including one topped with fruit!) & trio of salsas. When you order tacos, they come 2 per order, so perfect for sharing & sampling! Gabriella's favorite is their ahi tuna tostada - she legit dreams about it. The gals stopped in at M&'Em's Boutique/Meredith Jayne which has clothing, home décor, and specialty gifts. Of course a stop at Good Roots was on the docket! This is a women-owned business W.I.R.L. has highlighted before and it's worth the trip to Glen Ellyn alone just to visit this moody, inspiring, welcoming storefront. Pick up a plant (& name it), a Turkish textile, or a uniquely scented candle. The Bookstore of Glen Ellyn was celebrating 'Small Town Bookstore Day' and the ladies each entered the contest. Tune in around 9:55 to see who won! Another store the ladies visited was Gather & Collect. Gather & Collect is a premier vintage and collectibles shop offering beautifully re-purposed furnishings, gifts, novelties, and more. In a shorter episode, Victoria & Gabriella discuss the Commuting Chronicles. Getting to and from work can be a chore in and of itself, sometimes. Victoria touches on how her commute has changed drastically since the pandemic started - she now works from home - and how that has affected her day-to-day life and work/life balance. Gabriella insists that she'd fall asleep on her commute if she didn't blast music and create a mini-concert in the car. Listen in - maybe on your commute!
Guest Episode! The ladies are so excited to have Gina on the podcast this week. Gina has been a fan of the show since the very beginning (she knows Gabriella from grade school) and they attended an event hosted by her last year.
