HERE WE GO!!!! In a loaded episode…. We have Chous & Chris, holding down a jam-packed show of goodness! We discuss a number of topics including, recent NFL buzz regarding San Francisco 49ers star Wide Receiver Deebo Samuel requesting a trade from the team. Will he be traded? What team will trade for his services? Does he deserve 25 million per season? Or, will he stay on the 49ers for 2022? Adding to that, we discuss the NFL Draft as it is only one week away, and we breakdown a consensus Mock Draft from NFL Networks to breakdown the picks from 1 to 32 - to which we give our analysis and review. Finishing the show off - we play the game (early edition) of ARE YOU IN or ARE YOU OUT on players for the Fantasy Football season. Like we say – it's a loaded show!!! Jeff Heggie Daily Success Strategies 296: Give Yourself Permission to Succeed https://jeffheggie.com/ https://jeffheggie.com/momentum/ I'm often approached by people who want to make a change in their life. They have a big idea. Often, they've had it for a while. They have a dream they believe in, but they haven't done anything about it. It's as if they want me to give them permission to go for it. Stop Looking for Permission Stop looking to others for permission. This is your life. You only need your permission. If you want it, go for it! What's holding you back? What are you afraid of? Make good choices but make a decision one way or another. If you are using my Mindset Questions (https://jeffheggie.com/mindset/), you're already stepping out of your comfort zone on a daily basis. The more you step out of your comfort zone, the more your confidence will grow. The less you will look to others for permission. Are You In or Are You Out? Once you make the decision to move forward with your idea, do it obsessively. Become obsessed with your dreams and goals. When you become obsessed with a goal or project, your subconscious will go to work and help you figure out how to achieve it. You can learn more about this at, https://jeffheggie.com/2021/05/22/why-you-become-what-you-think-about/ Put In The Work Do you want to become great at something? Put in the work. As a basketball coach I always see the jealousy towards the best players. There are always players on the team that want the playing time as the best players, the recognition, and the stats. Sometimes they even try to degrade the better players saying they are given special treatment by the coach and they should be getting as much playing time as the better player. What they never acknowledge is the fact that the better player has and continues to put in way more effort in all the aspects of the sport. They practice significantly more on their own, they watch film. They study and learn the game better. They do so much behind the scenes that nobody even knows about. If you want to become great, put in the work. If you want to achieve your goals, put in the work. Be Consistent If I've said it once, I've said it a million times. It's the daily success habits that separate the best from the rest. Develop your success habits and be consistent with them. If they don't immediately produce results, keep going! John Lee Dumas said, “Entrepreneurs don't fail. They just stop doing the things that would eventually make them successful.” Sometimes you'll see results quickly. Sometimes it will seem like it's never going to happen. Stay focused and keep going. You'll get there. What are your goals? (If you don't have clearly defined, written down goals, get my FREE Momentum Series at https://jeffheggie.com/momentum/) Don't wait for someone to give you permission to go chase them. Give yourself permission and go do it! Book Reference: The Slight Edge by Jeff Olsen The Common Path to Uncommon Success by John Lee Dumas

Are you operating from empty? Do you think it is selfish to dedicate TIME to replenish YOU? Click here to read Val's blog post, "Depleted? Mom, It's not selfish to replenish." The first half of this episode is a vulnerable topic for Val as it includes her road back to health and she reminds moms that when you are depleted, it often leads to defeated. It is not selfish to take care of yourself! In fact, neglecting YOU is harmful to your family. We cannot replenish others when we are depleted. We moms often neglect ourselves emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Let's talk about the road back to healthy. Then the second half of this episode is a listener Q&A where we focus on the four key elements of communicating boundaries to kids effectively and getting them on board with taking the necessary growth steps to increase their freedoms.1. Empathy – see it from their perspective. Have compassion on their PERCEPTION of what’s going on and VERBALIZE your empathy. 2. Humility - even parents need humility and need to give mutual respect 3. Consistent and Clear boundaries and expectations - are the lines constantly changing or difficult for your child to identify? 4. Visionary Standard - avoid negative labels, your words should point them toward who they are capable of becoming * you believe they are more than their current behavior and weaknesses.Boundaries increase with level of *Responsibility *Wisdom *Honesty "As they display these characteristics in an area, that they are faithful with the amount of freedom they’re at, then you can begin considering increasing the freedom. COMMUNICATE all of this to them all along the way, so they understand that their freedom is in direct proportion to their level of *Responsibility *Wisdom and *Honesty""When our kids have constant access to social media, it means that Peers & Strangers are given an influencing-role & constant access to our kids’ heart & mind. Intentional parents need to have *reoccurring conversation *family agreement that includes actions to take, actions to avoid, clear boundaries, and how to maintain those boundaries *accountability *filtering"Resources mentioned in this episode Internet Family AgreementVal's affiliate link to Berkey Drinking Water FiltersVal's affiliate link to Trim Healthy Mama Val's affiliate link to Covenant Eyes The following three episodes are from the Learning to Feast with the Father series: Podcast Episode 24: How a Busy Mom Gets Quality Time with God Daily Podcast Episode 27: Relationship Killers, Maintaining Influence & Mom, Are You Out of Order?
