This week we get fucked. By alcohol, technical difficulties, and the devil himself, because we are reviewing The First Omen! We also discuss You, The Cat in the Hat, Midsommar, and Late Night With the Devil. All while drinking Big Bad Baptist Chocolate Mint. An imperial stout by Epic Brewing Company, out of Salt Lake City, Utah. We are sorry for the audio quality on this episode. We tried to fix things multiple times, but ran short on time to get it right. We’ve got quite the episode for you this week, Casual Listeners. Before we get into the small town affair made inter-dimensional horror calamity because of those guys up at The Arrowhead Project; join us to learn about the brewery that got one of our own obsessed with craft beer. We’re joined by Nate & Jordan from Epic Brewing with a plethora of their fall beers. The whimsical Imperial Pumpkin Porter brought Brad back to winters back in Utah kicked things off, followed by the yet to be released canned version of the infamous Big Bad Baptist, and for dessert we had the raspberry variant of the Big Bad Baptist. To say we had a blast with these guys is an understatement. Oh! Also Ryan joined up. You know, the guy from the Back To The Future episode. But this time he talks about his first viewing of Stephen King’s The Mist.
Purple Squirrels, Unicorns and Kitchen Sinks...OH MY. The Cute But Psycho Recruiter, Daava Mills of The Mills Group, joins us on the Second Biggest Podcast in the Pacific Northwest for this live interview at Ben's Bottle Shop. Daava calls on business owners to update their antiquated recruiting processes, to take the ball, go on the offensive and put candidates in control in order to hire the right person in the most efficient manner. Trying this LIVE podcasting thing again, we're definitely starting to get it down. And as with any good live event, we started with a singing of the national anthem led by Co-Host Ben's daughter and her best friend. It's our best effort yet from a sound and audio standpoint. Thanks to all who came out to watch the interview and celebrate our new partnership with Ben's. Guest Beer: Epic Brewing - Salt Lake City, UT Quintuple Barrel Big Bad Baptist, Imperial Stout, 11% ABV "We’ve taken barrel-aging to a whole new level by aging shaved coconut, almonds, and Blue Copper’s Colombian coffee beans in fresh whiskey barrels, while our Imperial Stout ages separately in both rum and whiskey barrels. Then, our brewers hand blend each batch creating the most complex and outrageous version of Big Bad Baptist we have ever made." Angie's Mystery Beer brought to you by Ben's Bottle Shop: Traquair Brewing - Scotland, UK Jacobite Scottish Ale, 8% ABV "Brewed to celebrate the anniversary of the 1745 Jacobite rebellion the ale proved to be so popular it has become a permanent addition to the range. Based on an eighteenth century recipe the ale is spiced with coriander which gives a remarkably fresh aftertaste." We try a delicious barrel aged beer by Epic Brewing called Big Bad Baptist and then we die by trying Dave’s Insanity Hot Sauce that clocks in at 180,000 on the Scoville scale. I mention the last dab at 200,000,dead wrong it scales in at 3.3 million. And we also try Heavy Metal Hot Sauce that is made locally near us in Kouts, Indiana. At the end of the episode is a sample of a song we started writing that night after the mayhem! businesspartypodcast@gmail.com with suggestions on beers to try, sauces to try or eventually make and topics to talk about.
