Happy Wednesday! Bit of a late episode here, but sometimes interviews get delayed because sometimes people have priorities, or delayed flights. On this episode Caleb interviews Daniel Drake, a local STL game developer and creative. Dan runs Professional Pancake Art company https://dancakes.com/ (Dancakes) and is working on finishing up his board game Anthromancer, a successful kickstarter project due to ship later this year. This conversation is rambunctious. The duo talk about digital currencies, creativity, eliminating crunch (personally and universally), and kinda…like…the meaning of life and creating art in it? It’s a great episode, through and through! Join us on this week’s episode of Bounty Board! We all have little projects, passions, and hobbies that interest us. That's common. However, it's very uncommon to truly create a business out of them. In this episode we learn how Dan and Hank were able to form the company Dancakes, a unique business specializing in the niche world of pancake art. They share how this business got started, what sparked it, and how they're making a full time income because of it. If you have goals of doing something similar based off your unique interests and/or skillsets, this is a perfect example of two people who fully stepped into digital opportunities and created a new age lifestyle. We go over everything from humble diner cook beginnings to partnership opportunities with Disney, and appearances on the Today show. What a ride! In this episode we play Dread...well at least our version of it. It's a role-playing game similar to D&D, but in this we each create a simple character and Dancakes assistant Jimmy @ultimatecompanion joins us as the GM, he has one hour to tell us a story as we play through and draw Jenga blocks to see if action we want to take happens. Who has the worst accent? Who will die first? Who will annoy Jimmy with ridiculous questions? Listen on now!
