Dalle ceneri di uno studio storico nasce un nuovo progetto: la storia di Maurizio Casu, della RCM Records e di una comunità musicale che non ha mai smesso di crederci. La storia della RCM Records è una di quelle che parlano di passione, sacrificio e comunità. È la storia di Maurizio Casu, discografico e tecnico del suono, che ha dedicato la vita alla musica indipendente e alla crescita degli artisti, soprattutto in Sardegna. Fondata tra gli anni Ottanta e Novanta a Cagliari, la RCM – Registrazioni Casu Maurizio – è diventata nel tempo un punto di riferimento per chi cercava uno spazio libero, autentico e professionale dove registrare musica senza compromessi. Uno studio aperto agli artisti e alla sperimentazione Nei primi anni Duemila, la RCM Records ha vissuto una vera e propria seconda giovinezza. La nascita di un nuovo studio di registrazione ha permesso a Maurizio Casu di offrire gratuitamente uno spazio creativo agli artisti, favorendo produzioni innovative e collaborazioni trasversali. All'interno dello studio prendeva vita anche Disconotte, una trasmissione che ha contribuito a creare un ponte tra musica, radio e territorio. Nel tempo, tra quelle mura hanno registrato artisti provenienti da tutta Italia, compresi nomi di rilievo della scena hip hop e indipendente come Danno dei Colle der Fomento. L'incendio che ha cancellato vent'anni di lavoro All'inizio dell'anno, però, tutto si è fermato. Un incendio devastante, causato da un cortocircuito in un faretto, ha distrutto completamente lo studio. In pochi minuti, strumenti musicali, attrezzature professionali e archivi sonori sono andati perduti. I danni, superiori ai 100mila euro, hanno reso la struttura inagibile e destinata alla demolizione. Lo studio non era coperto da assicurazione. Fortunatamente, Maurizio Casu, suo figlio e alcuni amici musicisti presenti al momento del rogo sono riusciti a mettersi in salvo. La solidarietà che diventa nuovo progetto La notizia ha scosso profondamente la comunità musicale. Artisti, tecnici, musicisti di strada e appassionati si sono mobilitati spontaneamente per offrire aiuto concreto. Un'ondata di affetto che ha colpito profondamente Casu. In un video condiviso sui social, Maurizio ha raccontato il dolore per la perdita ma anche la gratitudine per la vicinanza ricevuta. Quelle parole hanno segnato un punto di svolta. Da tragedia personale, l'incendio si è trasformato in un momento di rinascita collettiva. La RCM Records guarda avanti Da questa energia è nato un nuovo progetto. Una campagna di crowdfunding è stata avviata per raccogliere fondi destinati alla ricostruzione dello studio e alla ripresa delle attività.
