On the morning of December 26th, 1996, 6-year-old beauty queen JonBenét Ramsey was found beaten and strangled in the basement of her family's home in Boulder, Colorado. A long, strange ransom note had been left on the back stairs, written on paper from inside the house. What followed was one of the most chaotic investigations in modern American history. The crime scene was contaminated within hours, the press declared the family guilty before anyone was charged, and detectives clashed bitterly with prosecutors over who to focus on. Nearly three decades later, no one has ever been convicted of killing JonBenét. In this episode of Murder: True Crime Stories, host Carter Roy revisits one of the most polarizing unsolved cases in American history, the investigative missteps that haunted it from day one, and the question that still divides the public: was JonBenét killed by an intruder, or by someone she knew?Head over to our YouTube channel to WATCH our video episodes: https://www.youtube.com/@crimehousestudios If you're new here, don't forget to follow Murder: True Crime Stories to never miss a case! In this episode, John interviews Caroline about her deep obsession with true crime, cult documentaries, and survival stories, rooted in a childhood book about kidnapping and dissociation, her psychology studies, and unsettling experiences growing up in New York City. Caroline explains why cults like FLDS and Scientology fascinate her, shares her top cases (Jaycee Dugard, JonBenét Ramsey, Madeleine McCann, Amy Lynn Bradley), and argues that true crime can build awareness but also cause anxiety and overprotectiveness. They discuss the power of public “armchair detectives,” a real-life missing teen case where social sharing helped save her, and concerns about police error, cover-ups, and wrongful convictions. Caroline then dives into her current fixation—the Idaho Four—questioning details, evidence, and the plea deal while promising to keep investigating. “MK Confidential” concludes its deep dive into the murder of JonBenét Ramsey. It is October 1999, and Boulder District Attorney Alex Hunter announces that no charges will be filed. What he does not reveal is that the grand jury voted to indict John and Patsy Ramsey. Megyn Kelly traces the years that follow: the Ramseys living as uncharged suspects, a succession of possible killers, a teacher in Thailand with a graphic confession, Patsy dying without knowing whether her name would ever be cleared, a dramatic reversal from the district attorney's office, and secret grand-jury documents that finally emerge fourteen years later. Nearly thirty years after JonBenét's murder, official decisions still point in different directions, no one has been charged, and new DNA testing may offer one last chance to learn what happened inside the Ramsey home. “MK Confidential” continues its deep dive into the murder of JonBenét Ramsey. It's March 1997, and veteran homicide detective Lou Smit joins the investigation expecting to prove the parents did it. Instead, the evidence leads him in the opposite direction.   Megyn Kelly follows Smit's case for an intruder: an open basement window, a suitcase beneath it, marks on JonBenét's skin, a garrote, a scream in the night, and unidentified male DNA. But every clue has a counterargument, from an apparently untouched spiderweb to a failed stun-gun test and a ransom note written with the family's own pad and pen.   By the fall of 1998, the investigation has split into two camps. Boulder detective Steve Thomas is convinced the answer lies inside the Ramsey home. Lou Smit is just as certain an intruder came in from outside. Both men are reaching their breaking point—and the case is headed to a secret grand jury. “MK Confidential” continues its deep dive into the murder of JonBenét Ramsey. It is 1997, and the case is being decided not in a courtroom, but on cable news, in the tabloids, and in the court of public opinion.   Megyn Kelly traces how a local homicide became a national media obsession: the pageant tapes, police leaks, disputed footprints, handwriting claims, sexual-abuse rumors, Geraldo Rivera's mock trial, and unidentified male DNA that barely made a headline.    By November of that year, 88% of Americans with an opinion blame one or both parents, a verdict built on months of media spin, not evidence tested in court. Send me a DM here (it doesn't let me respond), OR email me: imagineabetterworld2020@gmail.comToday I'm so honored to have back on the show for a third time: Masonic Ritual Abuse Victim, Survivor and now Whistleblower for the first time, intuitive empath, entrepreneur, public speaker and improv comedian, biofeedback facilitator and educator, clean farming and nature lover, and an incredible hero coming forward to advocate for whistleblower and survivor protection and safety and to do everything in her power to facilitate the change she wishes to see in the world: Allison AdamsA little bit about Allison in case you're new here, missed her riveting first two episodes, or need a little recap:Long before tragedy found her, Allison had already forged a remarkable path as an outsider by choice and circumstance. Diagnosed with juvenile myoclonic epilepsy as a child, she refused to let the condition define her. For 45 years she mastered it through unwavering commitment to clean food, restorative sleep, mindfulness, and inner sovereignty. This was no mere management—it was her superpower, a disciplined daily dance that became her anchor and her greatest strength. Her life brimmed with simple, genuine joys: gym friendships, hiking through the woods, lunch dates, and the deep sharing that comes from real connection. She moved through the world with openness and trust. But that trust was brutally weaponized. She befriended a woman at the gym, never imagining the warmth she shared would be turned against her. For two years she was stalked and targeted by a sophisticated network that used personal details to hunt her. Then, in April 2020, on the patio of an acquaintance named Marty - a James Beard-nominated chef connected to that network - Allison was drugged with at least four substances and plunged into ten harrowing missing hours.Allison was not born into a multi-generational cult or family. She was a regular woman—lured, hunted, and caught. Her story reveals how insidious and organized the darkness can be, and how anyone can become a target. The betrayal began with friendship and grooming, escalated through traps like a staged dating profile and repeated offers of tainted drinks, and culminated in a night of coordinated evil. She awoke to a body bearing the physical imprints of trauma - an injured collarbone from extreme high-impact injury, and hair that turned dramatically curly overnight, a visible manifestation of the terror and trauma stored in her body from that night.Yet Allison refused to let trauma erase her. She transformed it into purpose. Watching brave whistleblowers like David Wilcock and others face targeting, financial desperation, illness, and silencing ignited a righteous fire in Allison. She got mad. She realized that disclosure is not just dramatic testimonies - it is everyday survivors like her speaking out, and it demands community protection. There is no witness protection for these crimes. Society often blames victims, dismisses stories as “too outrageous,” or looks away because the darkness is uncomfortable. Allison chose the opposite. She knows the risks. She has watched others step forward only to be targeted and silenced. She remains in danger, still living in the town where the attack occurred, still navigating ongoing targeting and the constant need for vigilance. Yet she will not be deterred. She demands we do what we can - but do something. She embodies the rarest kind of heroism - the quiet, relentless kind. The kind that turns personal hell into collective awakening. Survival, for Allison, is not passive endurance. It is active rising, speaking, organizing, and loving the vulnerable more fiercely. Rooted in inner discipline, practiced awareness, and unyielding courage, she has become a force of justice and healing. Even while still at risk, her light shines undimmed.Allison is proof that one woman, anchored in decades of sovereignty and transformed by unimaginable darkness, can become a beacon that invites every soul to join her in building a safer, more awakened world. Her legacy is not one of victimhood, but of triumphant, unbreakable light. Because she chose to rise and speak, the world is forever brighter, stronger, and more compassionate. Because she chose to rise and speak, the light grows brighter. And together, we can make it shine forever.

The Nancy Guthrie investigation raised a question that haunts every major case in this country: were the right people in the room when it mattered most? In Tucson, a homicide sergeant with reportedly no homicide experience was dispatched to handle Nancy's disappearance. Veteran detectives were sidelined. A search plane pilot was reassigned. The people with the qualifications the moment demanded were available — and they weren't used. That pattern didn't start in Tucson. It played out three decades earlier in Boulder, Colorado — and it destroyed the JonBenét Ramsey case.On December 26th, 1996, a six-year-old beauty queen was dead in her family's basement. Upstairs, a victims' advocate was wiping down the kitchen counters of an active crime scene with spray cleaner. Friends wandered freely through the house. A patrol officer walked past a latched basement door and never opened it. A single detective was left alone with the family. And when the father was told to search the house himself, he found his daughter's body and carried her upstairs — unknowingly destroying the most critical forensic evidence in the case.Boulder PD had virtually no homicide experience. Denver offered experienced homicide detectives immediately. Boulder refused. The FBI offered help. Boulder refused. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation was available. Boulder refused. Every qualified hand was turned away — the same pattern Nancy Guthrie's family has watched play out in a different form in Pima County, where the questions center on whether Sheriff Nanos built his department around loyalty rather than competence. This is Part 1 of Beyond Nancy: Exposing Incompetent Investigations — a five-part series that uses the Nancy Guthrie case as the lens to examine what happens when unqualified hands touch the evidence first. Nearly three decades later, JonBenét's killer has never been identified. The JonBenét Ramsey case is a high-profile, unsolved murder mystery that occurred in Boulder, Colorado, in 1996.JonBenét Ramsey was a 6-year-old beauty pageant contestant who was found murdered in her family's home on December 26, 1996. Her parents, John and Patsy Ramsey, reported her missing and claimed to have found a ransom note demanding $118,000.However, later that day, JonBenét's body was discovered in the basement of the Ramsey's home. She had been strangled and had a severe head injury. The circumstances surrounding the murder, including the ransom note and the fact that the family did not immediately contact the police, raised suspicions and made the case highly publicized. The investigation was marked by controversy and mishandling. Suspicion initially fell on the Ramsey family, including JonBenét's parents and her older brother, Burke. They were subjected to intense media scrutiny, but they maintained their innocence. The case was complicated by a lack of physical evidence and a ransom note that appeared to be written within the Ramsey home. Some investigators and experts suggested that an intruder might have been responsible, while others believed the family might be hiding something. The Boulder police were criticized for not securing the crime scene properly, and their handling of the case came under scrutiny.Despite years of investigation and several grand jury proceedings, no one was ever charged or convicted in connection with JonBenét Ramsey's murder. To this day, the case remains unsolved, and it continues to be a subject of public fascination and speculation, with various theories and suspects proposed over the years. In this episode, we hear from Jonbenet Ramsey's father who talks about the differences in how the Moscow Murders investigation was handled and how his daughters case was handled, and how Boulder PD had just stuffed their pride, he thinks that his daughters killer would have already been brought to justice.(commercial at 13:30)to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:JonBenét Ramsey's dad says Idaho murders probe shines a light on failings by police in his daughter's case | The US Sun (the-sun.com)Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-moscow-murders-and-more--5852883/support.

Reid Carter continues the JonBenét Ramsey Christmas special on the 29th anniversary of her murder. Boulder police immediately suspected the parents - the ransom note used Patsy's notepad and pen, demanded John's exact bonus amount, and experts couldn't eliminate Patsy's handwriting. Media coverage destroyed the family's reputation before any charges were filed. But Detective Lou Smit believed an intruder killed JonBenét - pointing to the basement window, unknown DNA, and boot prints. The 1999 grand jury voted to indict John and Patsy for child abuse resulting in death. District Attorney Alex Hunter refused to sign. In this episode, I'm looking at Saturn-Neptune conjunctions in birth charts and sharing some preliminary research I've been doing recently about how this placement shows up in people's lives. With the Saturn-Neptune conjunction finally going exact in the sky right now on February 20, 2026, I wanted to shift our focus from mundane world events to how this alignment manifests on a personal level, especially by looking at the lives of notable individuals and celebrities. I explore a variety of fascinating manifestations, from what I've been calling the "reality distortion field," to themes of mysteries, hidden secrets coming to light, and the tension between belief and skepticism. I also spend a lot of time talking about "recurrence transits", where people born under a previous Saturn-Neptune conjunction experience major, defining turning points in their lives when the two planets align again years later. Since this is ongoing research, I want to hear from you. If you have a Saturn-Neptune conjunction in your own birth chart, or if you know of any other great celebrity examples I might have missed, please let me know down in the comments. If we get enough good examples, I'm planning to do a follow-up episode to explore this topic even further. This is episode 525 of The Astrology Podcast. This special Black History Month episode opens with a quick temperature check on the timeline — Grammy Week energy, viral moments, and what had the internet in a chokehold. From there, the conversation unfolds as a celebration, a critique, and a reality check on Black culture in real time. The heart of the episode centers on music and Black entertainment, starting with Grammy predictions, anticipated wins, and the snubs everyone already sees coming. The hosts spotlight powerful Black music excellence moments, honoring icons like Brandy, Mariah Carey, Kirk Franklin, and Pharrell Williams. Tribute performances from B2K, Coco Jones, Kehlani, and Erica Bellinger spark a larger discussion about legacy, influence, and who truly gets their flowers while they're here. Eve's long-awaited Grammy win for “You Got Me” raises the question: overdue recognition or perfect timing? The segment closes with reactions to J. Cole's latest freestyle and what it says about lyricism and expectations. In entertainment and culture, the conversation turns critical with the America's Next Top Model Netflix documentary. With Tyra Banks addressing the show's legacy and former contestants speaking out, the hosts debate whether this moment reflects genuine accountability or strategic rebranding — and how much grace time should really get. The episode then opens up into hot debate territory, tackling whether celebrities should be required to speak on social and political issues, if old reality TV should be judged by today's standards, and whether influencer culture is earned or simply the result of lucky timing. The group also digs into the idea of celebrities being “too sensitive” versus finally enforcing boundaries. Things take a darker turn with real-life headlines and internet chaos. The release of Epstein files, alleged celebrity mentions, new developments in the JonBenét Ramsey case, and a second Louisiana prison escape raise questions about truth, conspiracy bait, and how information spreads online. The “we're always being watched” segment explores surveillance culture, leaks, and why receipts now feel like currency. The celebrity crash-out watch segment breaks down Sha'Carri Richardson's arrest and what it could mean for her career, followed by Stefon Diggs dating rumors sparked by Cam'ron's podcast and a broader look at athlete visibility and relationships. A new music check-in rounds things out with honest reactions to fresh releases from DaBaby, Wiz Khalifa, and Ari Lennox — evaluating growth, consistency, and replay value. Finally, sports and culture collide with Super Bowl predictions, MVP picks, and surprise moment calls. The hosts also react to Paul George's 25-game suspension and a thrilling college basketball matchup that reinforces one takeaway: the NBA's future is bright. This episode blends celebration with scrutiny — honoring Black excellence while asking the hard questions about power, accountability, and how culture evolves in public.

John Ramsey speaks out — and this time, it's about action. In this exclusive episode of Tom Zenner Scandal, John Ramsey joins us to discuss why the murder of his daughter, JonBenét Ramsey, can still be solved today — and what's standing in the way. Nearly 30 years after JonBenét's death, John explains why modern DNA technology and genetic genealogy could finally identify the killer, how systemic failures inside the Boulder Police Department stalled progress, and why independent review is critical now. He opens up about leadership breakdowns, the sidelining of veteran detective Lou Smith, and why he believes the system has resisted change instead of embracing science. This episode is not about revisiting old theories. It's about pressure, accountability, and time running out. John also shares what progress has been made, what still hasn't happened, and what the public can do — responsibly — to help move this case forward without spreading misinformation. This is one of the most important conversations yet about one of the most infamous unsolved cases in American history. Watch carefully. In this Bonus Bri episode, Brian Beckner delivers a free preview of this week's Patreon-exclusive content—starting with one of the strangest and most unintentionally profound traditions in modern American sports: the Pop-Tarts Bowl. Joined by friend of the show and official Pop-Tarts Bowl Correspondent Zach Xavier, Brian breaks down the surreal pageantry, evolving lore, and outright ritual sacrifice of Pop-Tarts mascots—including toaster cremations, memorial jackets for fallen pastries, and a jacked “protein Pop-Tart” who refuses his destiny and escapes execution. But that's only the beginning. The episode takes a sharp turn into darker territory with a disturbing true story out of Austria: a mountain climber accused of manslaughter after allegedly leaving his exhausted, ill-equipped girlfriend to freeze to death near the summit of the country's highest peak. Brian unpacks the case, the prosecution's allegations, and what it says about responsibility, masculinity, and abandoning someone who trusted you with their life. Along the way, Brian riffs on: Why Pop-Tarts may be the straightest food ever invented The ethics of survival stories and cutting the rope The difference between “feeling bad” and being accountable The unspoken social contract of not leaving women vulnerable Bonnie Blue, Bali, and disrespecting national flags for clout The Monster Mash paradox (a song about a song that never existed) JonBenét Ramsey, new “evidence,” and why some mysteries never die This episode is funny, unhinged, uncomfortable, and very on-brand. Nearly 29 years after six-year-old JonBenét Ramsey was found murdered in her family's Boulder, Colorado basement, Boulder Police have announced significant movement in the case. Chief Stephen Redfearn confirmed that investigators have collected new evidence, retested existing evidence with modern DNA technology, and conducted new interviews over the past year. Dozens of items are currently being tested at the Colorado Bureau of Investigation — including evidence from the basement crime scene that was never tested before. At CrimeCon 2025, the Ramsey family's former attorney Hal Haddon pointed to the garrote used to strangle JonBenét as potentially critical, noting that DNA analysis of the knots could be "promising" since someone had to tie them. John Andrew Ramsey, JonBenét's half-brother, says it's "not if but when" the case gets solved. But here's what's strange: as we get closer to potential answers, some people are suddenly saying "let it rest" or "let it go." After 29 years of obsession with this case, why would anyone not want it solved? The psychology is fascinating — and disturbing. Whether you believe the family was involved or an intruder did it, whoever actually committed this crime benefits from the ambiguity continuing forever. The ransom note — written on a pad from inside the home, with a pen from inside the home, demanding the exact amount of John Ramsey's bonus — has never been explained. Patsy Ramsey was never fully excluded as its author. The 2008 "exoneration" of the family remains deeply contested by former investigators. We don't know who killed JonBenét. But someone does. And they're counting on us to stop asking. #JonBenétRamsey #JonBenet #TrueCrime #ColdCase #BoulderPolice #DNAEvidence #RansomNote #TrueCrimeCommunity #ColdCaseMurder #JusticeForJonBenet Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video?
