We sat down with Danny Blu Tattoo artist in Houston, Tx. 17 years in the industry he talks about his life and shared some lessons he's learned along the way. Starting at the age 25 at his home and putting the ink on neighbors/word of mouth while also learning his craft; to working at "pick it and stick it tattoo shops" to owning his own studio. Having many mentors along the way, he talks about his friend Reyna Garcia (may he rest in peace) inspiring many Houston artist and teaching them. Danny talks about his future goals and his inspirations. Thank you for hearing!

A longtime Swish Edition listener (and friend of frequent guest Sherry Vine), Danny has recently released a much talked about first music video for The Factory Blu's song, Set Me On Fire, and it's hard not to be impressed with the production values and the strong, very important message. Danny channels Jesus Christ--he was bullied, too, don't you know--in a modern day, high school-based tale. An advocate of embracing your inner freak and living life with no regrets, we're digging' Danny's first album, full of originals that are a mash-up of the harder 90's music he loved while growing up, married with the pop and dance sounds of today. We play Set Me On Fire after the chat so you can get a taste of our new favorite bisexual rocker. Also up, the hosts are happy to help spread the word about Danny's Kickstarter campaign, aimed at financing his group's effort to produce their second album. Kick in a few bucks, people.
