Genau dort setzt das Mentorenprogramm „Hürdenspringer“ an, welches seit 15 Jahren existiert, und versucht eine Stütze im Leben zu bieten. Mit Hilfe von Mentoren, die ein großes Herz haben und gerne ihre Lebenserfahrungen teilen, wollen sie die Mentees unterstützen. In Berlin gibt es bereits 1.334 Mentoren Tandems, die dabei geholfen haben, genau diese Hürden zu überwinden, durch zweistündige Treffen ein- bis zweimal pro Woche.David Eick- Kuhlmann ist Projektleiter der „Hürdenspringer“ in Tempelhof- Schöneberg und hat schon viele Tandems unterstützt und konnte sehen wie die Mentees, aber auch die Mentoren selbst durch dieses Programm ihre Persönlichkeit stärken konnten und ihre kleine Alltags Blase verlassen haben.
