In the ongoing competition of the UK vs US on this podcast, our friends across the pond frequently do a bit better than us on supporting the arts and acknowledging that they are important by financially backing them. But as of this week, get your party hats out, we are catching up! The NYPAL recently opened up applications for their brand spanking new Theatre and Technology Fellowship and we are GOBSMACKED. It's going to pay someone to use their creativity and the Library's resources to do a deep dive anywhere in theatre and tech that the Fellow wants to go. We get to talking about our collaborators that would slay that fellowship, why this bad boy should exist and what it was like the first time Jess tried to watch an archival Broadway recording at NYPAL. It's a story full of intrigue, microfiche and Patti LuPone. Be warned.
