Interview #1 with T. Scott Daniels: I asked one of the Nazarene church denomination's newest General (Global) Superintendents, T. In this episode you'll hear from Scott Daniels, senior pastor of Nampa College Church of the Nazarene, on the meaning of worship.
Today, my Pastor, Scott Daniels, is on the podcast. Scott is one of the most well-respected theologians in our denomination (and beyond) globally. He is also a beloved college professor, a deeply invested pastoral leader, and a mega sports enthusiast. I am so grateful for Pastor Scott's investment in my life and ministry… As a young leader, trying to figure out what it looks like to be obedient to God's call on my life, it has been amazing to have mentors, like Scott, as examples in my life, but also voices of encouragement. As you will hear, Scott has served in a variety of leadership roles. Leadership can bring pressure, loneliness, and discouragement from critics… but those themes don't have to be the dominant narratives. Today, Pastor Scott shares with us about his journey… and how he has stayed rooted in the knowledge of God's love and God's best for him — which has allowed him not to cave to the unhealthy pressures of leadership. Dr. Scott Daniels is senior pastor at Nampa College Church of the Nazarene and Pastoral Scholar in Residence at Northwest Nazarene University. Scott has also pastored in Pasadena, California and Richardson, Texas and served as the dean of School of Theology at Azusa Pacific University and Seminary. He is a frequent guest speaker and lecturer at churches, camp meetings, and college campuses. He received his MDiv and PhD in theology and ethics from Fuller Theological Seminary. A contributorto several books, journals, and magazines, he is the author of The First 100 Days: A Pastor'sGuide; Seven Deadly Spirits: The Message of Revelation's Letters for Today's Church; and TheCycle of Victorious Living: Commit, Trust, Delight and Rest in Jesus Christ. His most recent book is Embracing Exile: Living Faithfully as God's Unique People in the World. Most importantly, Scott is married to Debbie and they have four adult children… and a very well loved doodle named Henley.

"How's the food?" The quality of a community's dining operation is one of the largest factors that potential residents take into consideration when deciding where to spend their retirement years. The reality is that the success or failure of a food program can make or break a community. It's no wonder, then, that one of the hottest topics in the industry is whether to self-operate or go with a contracted dining company. Fortunately, we've got an expert in this area in our ranks. Joining us today is Scott Daniels, Vice President of Culinary and Operations at Culinary Coach. Scott brings over 25 years of experience in contracted dining, and we took the opportunity to take a deep dive into the subject. Join us as we explore the ins and outs of dining contracts, from a true insider's perspective of someone who spent over two decades in the trenches. If you are thinking about how you can level-up your dining program and are exploring all options, this episode is for you!
