POPULARITY
As I started to look to 2026, I knew there was still more to cover in this series beyond what we hit upon in the five episodes last year in discussing authoritarianism in cinema. One of the richest genres doing that was science fiction which, coincidentally, is what led to my emphasis on the genre this year. With such a vast subject, there was only one choice to join me on this episode- the person who started this series with me, Jason from Binge Movies and The Slashers. This is probably the most obvious lineup we've had yet, but when you have movies like Fritz Lang's "Metropolis", John Carpenter's "They Live" and Paul Verhoeven's "Starship Troopers", you already have not just compelling films to watch, but a wealth of depth to cover. I hope you enjoy!
What if the version of you who already leads with clarity, confidence, and ease isn't somewhere in the distant future… but already alive inside you, waiting to be remembered? In this episode of How to Be Happier for Entrepreneurs, Yvonne Trost invites you into a powerful shift — stepping out of the patterns that keep you recycling the past and into what she calls your future present. You'll experience imagination not as fantasy, but as your most potent creator of reality. And you'll walk away with simple, actionable practices that begin rewiring your inner world today. If you're ready to stop pushing and start becoming… ready to lead your business with presence, power, and peace… ready to rise into the version of yourself your dreams have been waiting for, this episode is your turning point. Today's show centers on reminders of the sports world of the past (Florida State victimized by college football's corruption), the present (the NBA's In-Season Tournament & load-management hypocrisy shows the league couldn't care less about harming bodies) and the future (Juan Soto to the Yankees & Ed Cooley's righteous reaction after a tough Georgetown loss both offer reasons to hope the future is bright).

Today we find that when we understand and use HOPE the way God defines it and designed it, it can provide joy even in our most difficult trials.

The Christian concept of salvation isn't just about past events, including Christ's death on the cross and when I accepted him as Savior, and a future destiny on into eternity, but how life is to be lived in the here and now. It is engaging life in all dimensions by faith in God and being strengthened by him to live moment by moment as one following the teachings and example of Jesus and the apostles. This is true spirituality.____________________Attributions:Schaeffer, Francis A. (1971).True Spirituality: How to Live for Jesus Moment by Moment. "Your mind is an instrument, a tool. It is there to be used for a specific task, and when the task is completed, you lay it down. As it is, I would say about 80 to 90 percent of most people's thinking is not only repetitive and useless, but because of its dysfunctional and often negative nature, much of it is also harmful. Observe your mind and you will find this to be true. It causes a serious leakage of vital energy." Check out Eckhart Tolle - The Power Of Now Book.
