Last week, I sat down with Chris Kyle, co-founder of the upcoming Big Tent Summit, a gathering for men & woman who are involved in the stewardship of healthy masculinity today. Chris has been in the exploration for nearly three decades, and he articulates his perspective on the “three waves” of the modern men's movement: from its mythopoetic roots, to the rise of embodied presence, and now—an integrative call to wholeness. We speak of the fragmentation many men feel, the seductive pull of the mansophere & adolescent masculinities, and the hunger for a mature, grounded path rooted in a greater cosmology. The Big Tent Summit, happening May 29–June 1 in Loveland, Colorado, is a gathering of leaders, facilitators, and culture-makers. It will be a place to compare maps, cross-pollinate practices, and connect with others engaged in this work.Get full info & tickets at BigTentSummit.com—For more of the history and evolution of men's work, you're invited to check out my free webinar An Introduction To Mythopoetic Masculinity. Across the gnawing of human civilization, a subtle yet persistent blindness emerges — one not simply defined by wars, environmental neglect, or productivity cycles, but deeper flaws rooted in the human condition itself. One such blind spot is humanity's relentless misunderstanding of freedom. Freedom, often worshiped as the highest virtue and tirelessly pursued through revolutions and struggles, has repeatedly been misconstrued as mere absence of constraint rather than proactive alignment with genuine purpose and inner fulfillment. Consider the French Revolution, where liberté became the battle cry, yet the subsequent chaotic implosion via the Reign of Terror and Napoleonic wars underscored that freedom misunderstood leads merely to a more intricate enslavement.

Send us a textIn this episode, host Andrea Atherton welcomes guest Egan Sanders to explore the fascinating realm of past and future lives. Reincarnation has long been a topic of intrigue, but beyond mere curiosity, it holds profound potential as a tool for self-discovery and healing. Egan shares insights into how our soul's journey extends beyond this lifetime, carrying lessons, patterns, and even unresolved emotions that shape our present experiences. By accessing past lives, we can gain a deeper understanding of who we are, why we face certain challenges, and how we can break free from cycles that no longer serve us.Andrea and Egan also discuss the powerful impact of past-life connections in relationships. Many of the people we encounter—whether friends, family, lovers or even adversaries—may have played significant roles in our previous incarnations. Recognizing these soul connections can bring clarity to unresolved tensions, unexplained attractions, or deep emotional bonds that defy logic. By exploring these dynamics, we can cultivate greater compassion, release karmic wounds, and create more conscious, fulfilling relationships in the present. Finally, the conversation delves into the concept of future lives and how glimpses into what's ahead can empower us to make choices aligned with our highest potential. Rather than seeing the future as fixed, Egan explains how it is shaped by our present actions and energetic frequency. Through practices such as past-life regression, meditation, or intuitive work, we can tap into these multidimensional aspects of our existence, allowing us to step into greater awareness, purpose, and healing. Tune in for a mind-expanding discussion on the eternal journey of the soul and how embracing reincarnation can transform the way we navigate our lives and relationships.Egan Sanders https://www.mytransformationcoach.nethttps://www.attractitgames.com30-minute Consultation with Andrea https://www.andreaatherton.com/booking-calendarAndrea Atherton Websitehttps://www.andreaatherton.com/Love Anarchy Websitehttps://www.andreaatherton.com/podcasthttps://loveanarchypodcast.buzzsprout.comLove Anarchy Facebookhttps://www.facebook.com/loveanarchypodcast/Andrea Atherton Facebookhttps://www.facebook.com/andreaatherton-17/

193 - Formulas for Life In this episode, we delve into Patrick King's book, Social Equation, which offers practical formulas to enhance social interactions. Discover how to build trust, improve workplace harmony, and foster romantic relationships through King's insightful equations. Building trust is fundamental to any strong relationship, and Patrick King offers a straightforward formula to achieve this: Trustworthiness = Consistency x Reliability / Number of Betrayals. This emphasizes the importance of being consistent and reliable while minimizing betrayals to maintain and build trust. In the workplace, harmony is crucial for productivity and job satisfaction. King's formula for workplace harmony is Respect x Cooperation / Conflicts + Ego. By fostering respect and cooperation and reducing conflicts and ego clashes, a more harmonious and productive work environment can be created. For romantic relationships, King provides a more nuanced formula: Common Interest x Physical Attraction x Emotional Connection to the Power of Adaptability. This formula highlights the need for shared interests, physical and emotional attraction, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances to maintain a strong romantic bond. When it comes to effective learning, King suggests that it can be quantified as Curiosity x Engagement / Number of Distractions. Staying curious and engaged while minimizing distractions can significantly enhance learning efficiency. Friendships are built on four key components: proximity, frequency, duration, and intensity. King's formula for friendship development is Proximity + Frequency + Duration + Intensity. Maintaining frequent and meaningful interactions is essential for deepening friendships. Mastering small talk can be daunting, but King provides a simple strategy: answer the question asked, provide two additional lines of detail, and then pass the conversation back. This approach helps keep conversations engaging and dynamic, turning small talk into deeper, more meaningful exchanges. Introducing people to each other can be a powerful networking tool. King's formula for perfect introductions is Past + Future. Start by mentioning the present role of the person, then share something from their past that establishes credibility, and finally, suggest a future connection between the individuals. Takeaway Challenge:Create three personal formulas to tackle current problems. For example, a weight loss formula could be Burning Calories x Activity / Eating Calories + Sedentary Time. https://startwithsmallsteps.com/193-formulas-for-life/ Jill's Links https://abetterlifeinsmallsteps.com https://affiliate.notion.so/NorthwoodsJill https://affiliate.notion.so/NorthwoodsAI https://www.youtube.com/@startwithsmallstepspodcast https://www.buymeacoffee.com/smallstepspod https://twitter.com/SmallStepsPod Email the podcast at jill@startwithsmallsteps.com

John Pudner, President of Take Back Our Republic Action, joined Chuck and Sam for a discussion about the path forward for the GOP. We discuss topics like campaign contribution, abortion, faith-based voters, Department of Education and more. Dawn Hawkins, CEO of the National Center on Sexual Exploitation, highlighted a pressing issue - big tech's role in the proliferation of sexual exploitation. Shockingly, 13% of Twitter content is explicit. She shared that the organization has initiated multiple lawsuits against big tech to bring about necessary changes in their terms and conditions.Join us for an insightful discussion on these critical issues shaping our political landscape and digital age.-Connect with us:www.breakingbattlegrounds.voteTwitter: www.twitter.com/Breaking_BattleFacebook: www.facebook.com/breakingbattlegroundsInstagram: www.instagram.com/breakingbattlegroundsLinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/company/breakingbattlegrounds-AboutDuring John Pudner's tenure as Executive Director (2015-2021), Take Back Our Republic compiled a perfect record of five statewide referenda wins in five different states, and Pudner led a 2017 effort before the Federal Elections Commission, in which Take Back Action Fund defeated Facebook, requiring the social media giant to disclose who was paying for political ads on that platform. These important successes were a prime motivator in Pudner's transition to full-time President of Take Back Action Fund, where he will be able to focus his attention on political and grassroots lobbying efforts. Before shifting his efforts to the integrity of the system itself, Pudner spent 25 years running Republican political campaigns, including the faith-based turnout in 16 states for George W. Bush, and was first featured on Fox News after directing the campaign strategy of Republican Dave Brat's historic primary upset of Republican Majority Leader Eric Cantor. In the same period, he also won 185 out of 202 local zoning referenda, as well as dozens of Planning Commission and Supervisor votes, preventing developments that would have saddled communities not only with massive traffic jams, but also with flooding and erosion. -Dawn Hawkins is CEO of the National Center on Sexual Exploitation, the leading organization exposing the connections between all forms of sexual exploitation, including sex trafficking, prostitution, pornography, and child sexual abuse. Dawn's energy, creativity and mobilization skills are deployed to build a world free from sexual violence, with freedom and human dignity for all.Dawn is deeply committed to bipartisan public policy solutions at the federal and state level. Her issue expertise, visionary initiatives, and innovative strategy have led to groundbreaking change in the legislative arena and in multimillion-dollar corporate policies. She has also envisioned and created a Law Center to challenge sexual exploitation profiteers in the courts.Dawn has been instrumental in re-imaging the National Center on Sexual Exploitation. She has centered the need to address sex buyer demand for commercial sex, has severely weakened the mainstream pornography industry, and is leading efforts to bring more accountability to technology platforms for child safety.Dawn has called out and changed corporate entities facilitating exploitation through the annual Dirty Dozen List, fostered a broad international coalition of 600+ organizations, and constantly: advocates for survivors. Her work has sparked change at Google, Hilton Worldwide, Comcast, Walmart, the Department of Defense, Instagram, TikTok, and other influential firms. Dawn has appeared on many television programs, including CNN, Fox & Friends, and Good Morning America. The miraculous provision of food for the 5,000 (recorded in all four gospels) teaches us something critical about Jesus and what it means to be his disciple. This miracle highlights how his ministry follows and yet expands the pattern set by Moses and Elijah. Further, the manner in which Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it foreshadows his redeeming death and the gift of the Eucharist which has nourished believers down through the ages. Being overwhelmed by so many people needing food, the disciples were challenged by Jesus when he told them "You give them something to eat”. This command is still relevant for us as Jesus invites us to put away all passivity, discouragement and defeatism and actively partner with him in the work that he is doing in our world today. Plus, they talked about the gambling investigation, football's hopeful turnaround and how NIL has changed college sports.
