If you recall, I mentioned that the Bible would distinguish between the remaining theistic worldviews. Since God cannot lie, it is safe to say that we can conclude that the Bible is in fact the Word of God. This means that Christianity is objectively true because Jesus taught that the Bible is the Word of God (Point 11); and it is true regardless of what anyone believes or any religions teaches about it. On the Let's Get Real Podcast, we examine the twelfth point, which states the final therefore: "Therefore the Bible is the Word of God, and Anything Opposed to it Must Be False." In this episode point out that other religions to have moral truths and theological truths that are congruent where they agree with the Bible. But I also point out that the fundamentals of those religions are in conflict with the major core essentials of historical Christianity: a theistic God exists; miracles of God are possible; Jesus Christ is God; Jesus Christ died and rose from the dead; and the Bible is the Word of God. If you would like to delve more into these twelve points SES has an Academy offering two free modules. One of those is an opportunity to get a certificate for the module on Christian apologetics. This week's episode is one that stems from a deduction of who Jesus truly is. If we recall in our argument we shared that Jesus is God (Point 9) by way of proving it via the resurrection. As Being itself God is necessarily Truth itself. Hence God cannot lie. So if Jesus is God He cannot lie either and whatever He teaches is true. In this episode we discuss some of the things that Jesus shared in Scripture. Working through this series on the Twelve Points that Show Christianity to be true, we are building our case on logical premises that will assist you in making your case and understanding of the Christian faith credible in a secular society. By way of review let's go through what we have covered to this point: Truth about reality is knowable (Point 1); The opposite of true is false: the law of noncontradiction (Point 2); It is true that the theistic God exists (Point 3); If God exists, then miracles are possible (Point 4); Miracles are acts of God to confirm a message from God (Point 5); The New Testament is historically reliable (Point 6); The New Testament says Jesus claims to be God (Point 7 last week). On this week's episode, we address the capstone of the Christian faith, the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Since we know that God exists, we also know that miracles are possible. The miracle of the resurrection of Jesus give proof that Christians are not foolish and delusional. In this episode I present five lines of evidence that most critical scholars will grant, when a good historical method is used. From this we will see that the resurrection best accounts for all the pieces of the puzzle without forcing them to fit. It will also set apart Christianity from the other. two monotheistic religions. That said, Jesus' claims will show to be miraculously validated. If you have any questions about what you have heard to this point or what you hear on this episode, let me invite you to email me at roblundberg315@gmail.com and we can discuss. If you are a skeptic toward the Christian, I welcome you, but at the same time challenge you to investigate for yourself what this series to this point has been presented.
