Evidenced by His resurrection, His love endures forever. Give thanks, for His love endures forever. Are we living as the resurrection or satisfied with something less? Message by Devin Burton, "His Love Endures Forever" as part of our "Guided Journey" series. Message from April 20, 2025. Centralia Community Church, Centralia, WA. cccog.com It is important to know your guide on a journey. The Psalms give us a picture of who God is and what He invites us into. We can trust Him to protect us, to show us the way, and to rescue us. We are active partners in this journey, and we can live life in His presence.

Back in 2021, John and Elizabeth sat down with Brandeis string theorist Albion Lawrence to discuss cooperation versus solitary study across disciplines. They sink their teeth into the question, “Why do scientists seem to do collaboration and teamwork better than other kinds of scholars and academics?” The conversation ranges from the merits of collective biography to the influence of place and geographic location in scientific collaboration to mountaineering traditions in the sciences. As a Recallable Book, Elizabeth champions The People of Puerto Rico, an experiment in ethnography of a nation (in this case under colonial rule) from 1956, including a chapter by Robert Manners, founding chair of the Brandeis Department of Anthropology. Albion sings the praises of a collective biography of the Art Ensemble of Chicago, A Message to Our Folks. But John stays true to his Victorianist roots by praising the contrasting images of the withered humanist Casaubon and the dashing young scientist Lydgate in George Eliot's own take on collective biography, Middlemarch. Discussed in this episode: Richard Rhodes Making of the Atomic Bomb Ann Finkbeiner, The Jasons: The Secret History of Science's Postwar Elite James Gleick, The Information Jon Gertner, The Idea Factory: Bell Labs and the Great Age of American Innovation Black Hole photographs win giant prize Adam Jaffe, “Geographic Localization of Knowledge Spillovers as Evidenced by Patent Citations“ Jamie Cohen-Cole, The Open Mind Julian Steward et al., The People of Puerto Rico Paul Steinbeck, Message to Our Folks Jenny Uglow, Lunar Men George Eliot, Middlemarch Listen to and Read the episode here. Bryan Kohberger's defense team just made a stunning claim—they say he was framed for the University of Idaho murders. In this episode, we break down the new defense strategy, analyzing whether the knife sheath with Kohberger's DNA was planted and if there's any real evidence to support this theory. Could someone have stolen his DNA and placed it at the crime scene? Or is this a desperate legal move to create reasonable doubt? We also take a deep dive into the evidence that led to Kohberger's arrest—his cell phone pings near the victims' home, the white Hyundai Elantra spotted on surveillance, and the mysterious unidentified DNA found at the crime scene. Is the prosecution's case airtight, or are there gaps that could sway the jury? And what about the missing murder weapon—could its absence help the defense? Finally, we explore Kohberger's psychology, his odd courtroom demeanor, and what his criminology background reveals about his behavior. Plus, we examine the surviving roommate's testimony—does it help or hurt the frame-up theory? Don't miss this detailed breakdown of the latest developments in one of the most high-profile murder trials in recent history.    Want to listen to ALL of our podcasts AD-FREE? Understanding Long-Covid under the Fibromyalgia and related conditions framework, also known as nociplastic pain conditions. In this episode of the Conquering Your Fibromyalgia podcast, host Dr. Michael Lenz explores the possible connections between Long-Covid and Fibromyalgia. He reviews two articles(A and B) providing different perspectives on the issue, focusing on the similarities in symptoms and the overlap with other chronic pain conditions. Dr. Lenz explains the term Long-Covid, detailing the range of persistent symptoms experienced by patients post-COVID-19 infection and how they mirror those of Fibromyalgia. He discusses studies attempting to understand and define Long-Covid but the lack of evidence supporting those such as persistence of  a viral infection.  It has been proposed to rename it to Fibromyalgia-like post-Covid syndrome. In a second opinion piece, the parallels between Fibromyalgia and Long-Covid based on past research are discussed. They propose that Long-Covid and Fibromyalgia should be viewed as a network of interrelated disorders with a shared pathogenic mechanism and encourage an evidenced based multifaceted approach already in existence from our understanding of fibromyalgia type illness. Dr. Lenz emphasizes the need for understanding and giving evidence based answers and solutions to those suffering.00:04 Introduction to the Podcast and Host01:11 Understanding Long COVID and Fibromyalgia05:13 Exploring the Symptoms of Long COVID06:37 The Overlap of Long COVID and Fibromyalgia Symptoms06:43 The History and Naming of Fibromyalgia12:08 The Biological Footprint of Long COVID?27:19 The Role of Psychological Factors in Nociceptive Conditions33:05 Conclusion and Final Thoughts Support the showA Fibromyalgia Starter Pack, which is a great companion to the book Conquering Your Fibromyalgia, is now available. S3E02 - For the Glory KC is back with the 67th episode of the podcast but it's going to be a little different than usual. Sporting Kansas City made headlines this week with the hiring of Gavin Wilkinson as the team's new Sporting Director. It's a search we didn't hear about until the hire was made. Peter Vermes gave up his title but got a new one -- Chief Soccer Officer. Wilkinson will report to Vermes, even though it's often the other way around with a coach/manager and the Sporting Director. For the podcast this week, instead of doing our cheery, usual thing, we've decided to dive deeper into the Wilkinson hire. No digital crawl. No KC Current news (why drag them into this). No news on other signings or happenings around the team or the league. That will come at another time (maybe). This is dedicated to Wilkinson's history that led us to this place today. Because not everyone wants to listen to us talk for an hour, I'll put a portion of the podcast details in writing, so they can live there forever. What I will tell you about myself is I'm an 'evidence guy.' While I wrote the initial 'news' piece of the report of Wilkinson's hire, I tried to minimize how much my opinion was in that story. After spending many hours reading the Yates Report and other sources, I feel confident in my final position. But you can decide for yourself. I will tell you this is by far the most research I've put into a podcast that is usually just a husband and wife talking about the teams they love. I'm tired, but I hope it was worth it! It's been a mentally draining four days since the announcement. Here is a quick rundown of topics (and approximate start times): Gavin Wilkinson - 02:33 Timeline - 05:13 Brief Andy Polo Summary - 23:29 We weigh in - 26:55 Spotify took away our ads, so we turned on "Listener Support." Who believes in the woo?? Who believes that the woo is just the woo, and there is no scientific backing?? Okay truth be told that was once me! I was like yeah whatever woo is just wishful thinking, ponies, rainbows and sunshine Until I started healing my autoimmune diseases eating high vibe and seeing angels in my kitchen & Jesus through my third eye..yes crazy true story!  I had to get to the bottom of this stuff or else I was the crazy one! Which led me into a long journey of energy healing research. My business started with just nutrition coaching at the time but everytime I was with a client I could feel my hands getting hot. I started getting messages for clients and knowing the names of passed over loved ones spontaneously. So I started following my guidance and letting a new way of healing come through me, a way I had never taken a class in or had been trained how to do This healing just came through me.. And it worked! This healing started changing lives and people were healing their autoimmune and chronic illness conditions!!! I'm going to tell some pretty amazing stories at the end of this episode after I share some evidenced based research all about energy healing to prime the ego mind a bit and let science support how powerful this healing can be… If you are ready to dive in soul first…. JUST PRESS PLAY ALREADY!!!! Takeaways Energy healing can be an effective tool for healing autoimmune disease and chronic illness. Mind-body medicine techniques, such as hypnosis and visualization, have been shown to improve symptoms and overall well-being. Emotions and stress can impact immune function and contribute to chronic illness. Personal stories and client testimonials demonstrate the transformative power of energy healing. Intuition plays a crucial role in guiding the healing process and uncovering underlying issues. Healing is not just physical but also involves the soul and energy field. Taking control of our health requires understanding and addressing the energetic aspects of our well-being. Autoimmune diseases and chronic illnesses can be seen as 'car wrecks' caused by the driver (ourselves) rather than a vehicle malfunction.
