En het zegt, heel eenvoudig en ontroerend: 't schaap wil schaap zijn, geen wollig verhaal'. Wie van ons wil niet gewoon… zichzelf zijn, zonder verhaal dat door anderen wordt opgelegd?Een van mijn favoriete momenten - dat komt omdat dus vanwege mijn boeken over de Graal en de Kroost van Kristus - komt uit het gedicht over het Heilig Bloed van Brugge, waar een engel met een knipoog naar meneer en mevrouw Macbeth, bijna hysterisch roept: “Ik word zot van die vlek, van die plek!” Waarna een ode volgt… aan een wasmiddel. Als dat geen hedendaagse mystiek is, dan weet ik het ook niet meer!Zet u dus schrap voor de Venus van Kortrijk, Aphrodita Cloacina, een bonte stoet (aarts)engelen, de Muskspin en tirades op de AI-rage. Dit is een bevleugelde tocht door Flauma-land, ons plat pays, op de zielebriesen van COffrée, alles gebracht met de nodige humor. Pierrette COffrée (Moorsele, 1983) is dichter en performer (H.Teirlinck), in hybride vormen. Haar debuut Tabak Taboek verscheen in '24, eveneens bij de Scriptomanen, en is nog steeds verkrijgbaar in de boekhandel. Zij is poet in permanent residence in Ercola (Experimental Research Center Of Liberal Arts) in Antwerpen, en doceert Woord aan de podiumacademie van Lier. Knappe terugkeer in San Remo, maar dé test volgt pas dit weekend: houdt die gebroken pols het tijdens volle intensiteit in een finale op kasseien?Uiteraard passeren ook de mannen- en vrouwenkoers van Gent-Wevelgem (In Flanders Fields, zo u wilt). Verder staan we stil bij de (interne) strijd tussen Remco Evenepoel (met zijn ploeggenoot Florian Lipowitz) en Jonas Vingegaard in de Ronde van Catalonië. In deze aflevering van Soni Sacri op Otheo Radio neemt Leo A. De Bock u mee naar Brugge, naar de stemmige kapel van OLV van Blindekens, een kapel met een hele mooie akoestiek. Op zondag 15 maart 2026 concerteerde daar de Oostenrijkse klavecinist Prof. Peter Waldner. U hoorde hem al eerder aan het werk in Soni Sacri en wel met een concert in de basiliek van Saint-Valère in Sion, Zwitserland. Toen met vooral middeleeuwse dansmuziek, nu met Johan Sebastian Bach en met hem alleen. Het concert is een initiatief van Musonance en Passion Beyond Bach die het culturele leven in de stad Brugge verrijken met eigenzinnige en tegelijk zeer waardevolle repertoirekeuzes. Zo ook is het concert met Peter Waldner in de Blindekenskapel bijzonder, omdat de musicus een luit-klavier (Lautenwerk of Lautenklavier) bespeelt, en dat is een instrument dat tegelijk zeldzaam is, maar dat in het leven van Johann Sebastian Bach een niet te onderschatten rol heeft gespeeld. Bach heeft specifiek voor dat instrument, dat veel zachter klinkt dan een klavecimbel, muziek geschreven. Peter Waldner weet er alles van.

Kurt Van Eeghem (1952) is presentator, acteur en schrijver, en voorzitter van de Boon literatuurprijs 2026. Hij werd bekend als televisiepresentator met programma's als Hitring, Namen Noemen en De Drie Wijzen. Hij had een taalrubriek in Iedereen Beroemd, presenteerde op Radio 1 en Klara, acteerde, zong en schreef. Zijn recentste boek op het moment van ons gesprek is Oostende in de Bel-Époque.Hij werd geboren in Brugge, groeide op in Zeebrugge en woont nu in Hoboken bij Antwerpen samen met zijn man. We gingen in het bureau op de eerste verdieping zitten. Ik zag twee wanden vol boeken, dubbele rijen, en overal stapeltjes boeken op tafels en op zijn bureau.Hij vertelt hoe hij zich als kind verstopte om te lezen, hoe hij als tiener de sleutel van de kast met de verboden boeken bemachtigde en wat Gerard Reve met hem deed.
