In today's Workday Playdate Snack, we're tackling the kind of tired a nap can't fix. Because if your soul is sighing—not just your body—this one's for you. The Problem: You're not just exhausted from meetings, deadlines, and life logistics. You're tired because you're performing all day and rarely just being. You're juggling ten roles at once—boss, parent, mentor, inbox warrior—but none of them feel like the full, real you. That's not burnout. That's identity fatigue. The Improv Hack to Try: “Play the Wrong Character on Purpose” Today, in just one meeting, switch it up: Usually the fixer? Be the one who asks all the questions. Constantly over-prepared? Wing it (just a little). The quiet one? Try on bold, bubbly energy—just for fun. This isn't about being fake. It's about giving your overused identity a break and waking up parts of yourself that miss the spotlight. Want More Like This? Michael of Forge PT is outspoken and passionate about his work in the health field and has been for his entire life, he realized throughout his time in the industry that mindset coaching was either overlooked or ignored flat out, this prompted the change he wanted to make in the world as without mindset, nothing else can be actualized. The one question that had been on Joseph's mind the most in relation to health and fitness is whether or not there are any noticeable benefits in the short term. Obviously working out is meant to be rewarding in the long run but many of us need some feedback in the short term as well to keep us going. This answer any many other pressing ones like it can be found onward in this episode of The Impactful Coaching Podcast. Find Michael online https://forgept.com/ Find us online https://impactfulcoachingpodcast.com/ 1:40 When Michael said he's usually well, Joseph inquires as to what being off his game feels like. Michael speaks to the difficulty of being prepared for all of life's unexpected challenges. In return Joseph shares how ChatGPT has served as a useful tool to help Joseph comprehend and cope with issues of a similar significance. 6:35 Joseph asks what role Michael plays in the coaching world, he shares his role as founder and CEO of the online coaching platform FORGE that prioritizes stability in fitness, nutrition and proper habit management. Michael's vast experience in fitness and health stems from sales and service in a 24 hour gym all the way to C-Suite roles of major organizations. 9:17 Joseph observed through his own research and what had been discussed so far that Michael has dedicated his life to fitness and wellness, to be certain Joseph asks if anything did come before, but also what sparked this level of commitment? 12:11 Michael gives his definition of habits, the essence of today's episode. We speak to the comparison between young and old when it comes to developing and managing habits. 19:19 Joseph shares some takeaways about accountability and having the knowledge to dispel bad habits, and then not implementing those changes almost as an act of rejection against societal norms. 24:50 Michael asks Joseph to expand on what issues Joseph thinks have been the most pressing for people when it comes to rejecting or abdicating responsibility. 33:50 Joseph asks Michael about a potential issue that Joseph refers to as “angelization” the opposite of demonization. Instead of giving a dark habit power that can in turn overwhelm us, we give something positive too much power and then think we no longer deserve it. 36:00 Joseph asks if there are immediate effects of committing to training as society continues to grow into an immediate gratification world that is problematic in nature. It is a many layered subject that includes self esteem and self worth at being able to take those first few steps. 44:16 Joseph asks Michael what makes working out at a gym enjoyable, it's obvious to Joseph why something like swimming or paintball is fun, and the health gain is inherent, but he doesn't see the fun in a direct workout so how are people motivated to do it? Michael says it has to do with training for something we do want to do. 54:02 As we close out the program (gradually, we had quite a lot to discuss) Joseph asks what is the significance of the 90-day habit transformation, why not 30? Or 60? 1:04 Michael reflects on his position historically on social media and how he had come to his own conclusion about its functionality.

At a street meeting that was held by a Salvation Army group, a young man who was a drummer in the band reflected on his past life and how it had changed. "Before I was converted," he said, "I used to drink a lot, but I don't drink anymore. Before I was converted, I used to swear a lot, but I don't swear anymore. Before I was converted, I used to womanize, but I don't do that anymore." Then, he added, "Since I was converted, about all I do is stand on this street corner and beat this old drum!"

Brian Nunez, IDEA World Fitness Personal Trainer of the year in 2019 and owner of FNS Training Center, talks to us about how your purpose drives you the hardest, not just your passion. “If people are having a tough time and struggling with it, ‘I hate social media, my engagement is down, this is set.' It's like, because that's exposing the truth of what it's really about for you. It's about the applause. It's not about the cause. And it's a wakeup call for people,” says Brian Nunez, author, coach, and founder of FNS (Fitness Never Sleeps) Training Center. Today, Yancy and Jarod talk with Brian about being driven by your purpose. In this episode, you'll learn: - The passion that separates coaches from athletes - “Attention is our greatest asset” - Passion doesn't keep you in the fight, your purpose does. You have to be passionate about that purpose. - Wake up with intention. More clarity results in more success - Service Media vs Social Media. Law 7 of the Seven Spiritual Laws Meditation Series: The Law of Dharma Today we are moving into the final spiritual law of our meditation series based on Deepak Chopra's book, The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success, and that is the Law of Dharma or Purpose. As Deepak puts it, “Everyone has a purpose in life, a unique gift or special talent to give to others. And when we blend this unique talent with service to others, we experience the ecstasy and elation of our own spirit, which is the ultimate goal of goals.” In other words, the law of Dharma has three components to it. First, we are spiritual beings having a human experience and not the other way around. Second, we all have a unique gift or talent that is here to serve the world. And third, if we ask the question, “how may I serve?” instead of “what's in it for me?” that's when we come in contact with our Dharma. The Law of Dharma or What is my purpose? In any relationship, I can ask: how may I serve? Because when I ask this question and deeply listen to the answer, I engage in an act of divinity. Life, like purpose, is not static. Over time, therefore, our unique purpose may evolve. By continuing to ask, “how may I serve?” I conjoin and collaborate with the divine within and the divine without. And that's precisely why we come together each week to meditate -- to listen. So today, I invite you to join me as you tune into your purpose.
