This week we're concluding the first installment of our new segment, Clueless Comics, with the continuation of our look into Green Arrow: Quiver!
Starting something new this episode, we've decided to go over a comic that one of us has read and try to explain what happens in it to the other. All while providing our classic commentary and banter throughout. We hope you like the first episode of our new segment, Clueless Comics, this week we're looking at Green Arrow~Quiver!
In this episode, we take a look at the Green Arrow story, "Quiver." This story, by Kevin Smith and Phil Hester, sees Oliver Queen suddenly reappear after previously dying in a plane explosion.
We recorded this like a week ago and I already barely remember what the comic was about. I know there were multiple cunnilingus scenes but that's about it. I'm pretty sure we all agreed that it wasn't as bad as the other Kevin comics we've read but still pretty bad. Trevor's old pal PJ joins us on this one to lend share of his vast Green Arrow expertise. PJ is on Twitter at https://twitter.com/proctorjsemhaus. He says he doesn't want followers, but you can reach him there if you need to contact him for some reason.

This week we read a real biggins, but had a great time with it. We take on Green Arrow Quiver, by Kevin Smith and art by Phil Hester a delightful early 2000's run of Green Arrow. We discuss demons with a fetish for A-B rhyme schemes, gay stereotypes (or not?), and contemplate whether Batman is the horse-girl of the DC universe. We see you Quiver, with antici...... pation! The original Green Arrow, Oliver Queen, reemerges after years of being assumed dead. But many people, including Black Canary, his ex-lover, Arsenal, his ex-partner, Connor Hawke, his son and temporary successor and Batman, the Dark Knight Detective, want to know how Green Arrow survived the airplane explosion and where he has been. Using strong characterization and engaging dialogue, comics and screenplay writer and movie director Kevin Smith (Clerks, Dogma, Batman: Cacophony) successfully resurrects one of the world's classic heroes this week in Quiver. Heroes glide through the sky on lightning bolts and fire. Flamboyant villains attempt daring daylight robberies. God-like alien creatures clash in an epic battle in the night sky. And on the dirty city streets below, homicide detective Christian Walker does his job. Detective Walker has to investigate the shocking murder of one of the most popular superheroes the world has ever known: Retro Girl. Walker is teamed up with spunky rookie Detective Deena Pilgrim and the investigation takes them from the seediest underbelly a city has to off er, to the gleaming towers that are home to immortal beings. As shocking twisted hidden truths about Retro Girl come to light, Walker finds that to solve this crime, he might have to reveal his own dark secret. Pilot podcast about the pilot episode of the new CW show Arrow. First off I would like to say that I came down with a bit of a cold the day of recording, so I sound a little overly nasal and not super great. Also, I watched the premiere on Wednesday, had the thought of doing a podcast and sent out immediately after, and we recorded on Saturday afternoon. Therefore the organization and format of the show has a lot of room to grow. And it will as the show goes on.Moving on!We mention the Smallville version of Green Arrow a few times.
