Do we pull it together for you, our loyal listeners? You betcha!First up, we're talkin' the final cup winner from Long Island, the 82-83 Islanders - this was the season where this juggernaut finally ran outta steam, but they still claimed their 4th cup in a row on the backs of Bossy and Butchie, Tonelli, Gilles, Potvin and Trottier, a coupla of young Sutter brothers and a heckuva tandem between the pipes - Battlin' Billy Smith and Rollie the Goalie! The dispatched the young Oilers in four straight, who then went on a 4 cup run of their own!We've got a great stat line of the week, featuring the new kid on the Island, tearin' it up as an 18 year old phenom and ready to lead the Isles back to greatness! We'll talk Jets post Olympics, they seem to like playing bonus hockey all the sudden, and then we do a deep dive in advance of Friday's trade deadline!And in the third, we're talkin' GHL playoffs and ripping some sweet Upper Deck packs for our latest card battle - double 99's are a great start!
After a week off, the boys are back at it on a holiday Monday feelin' rested, relaxed and ready to talk some hockey in this extended Riel Day episode!We'll tell you about the 1971-72 Bruins, a squad the seemed to be on the cusp of a dynasty with 3 finals appearances and 2 titles. Lead by the likes of Espo, Orr, Bucyk, Sanderson, Stanfield, McKenzie, Cashman, Westfall and ol' stiched up Gerry Cheevers between the pipes, this team was a real wagon until the league caught up to them, and #4's career was cut short. They wouldn't drink from Lord Stanley again until beating the Canucks in 2010-11!In the second, we've all sorts of Olympic hockey to touch on as both the Canadian Men's and Women's teams chase gold in Italy. The men's squad has been very business like thus far, and seems primed for a finals appearance provided that the 'tendys hold up. The women's team has certainly missed Marie Phillip-Poulin up front, but appear to be back on track for a golden matchup vs their rivals from the US.In the third, we recap a great day for hockey at Apuckalypse, plus detail the final week of the GHL season which hits this week. And co-host Jared talks about heading to Hali for an excellent donair and some Moosehead's action!

The real backbone of the team was all-time 'tendy Bernie Parent who recorded 12 shutouts on his way to back to back Vezina and Conn Smythe trophies!In the second, we go coast to coast like ol' Rex Murphy, checking in with the 7 Canadian teams to find out who's hot, who's not and who appears to have a little work to do! We love the Jets (of course), scratch our heads at the Oilers and Leafs and are hopeful the Habs and Sens!Finally in the third, we've got a GHL update - 3 of 4 teams now have names, so get on it Team 4!
