He eventually became a tool for God to heal others. When Henry couldn't heal others suddenly, God taught him about the spiritual roots of disease. In the full episode, Donna shares an incredible anecdote of how Henry, through God, was able to heal a woman who was allergic to everything. Most diseases can be traced back to spiritual roots. Be in Health believes only around 20% are not.[11:37] How God Heals Doctors will only treat certain conditions or even just look at the symptom.God, on the other hand, heals us wholly — mind, body, spirit, and soul.Remember, God desires our bodies and soul to get along. As a believer in Christ our bodies are a temple of the Holy Ghost so that we may glorify Him.[15:13] People Have Become Sick There are so many people now who are sick.God gifted Henry to understand the correlation between sickness and a spiritual defect. For example, fear is a significant component of diseases. Fear affects the immune system and leads to anxiety and stress.God gave us power, love, and a sound mind. However, when we have fear, we put an obstacle to what God is giving us.Those who have autoimmune diseases also have spiritual problems. It is common that they don't like themselves.[17:18] Donna: “God has said, He did not give us that spirit of fear…what did he give us? Power, love and a sound mind.”[20:12] How the Enemy Keeps Us SickOur sickness isn't just limited to us. Chances are, there's a spiritual sickness that's been in our long line of family history. Not only do these sicknesses affect your physical body, but they can also affect your personality. This is commonly due to the enemy's work.Donna emphasizes that they are not anti-medicine. In fact, she supports doctors and the medical industry. However, there has been a shift in the pharmaceutical industry that believes itself to be the savior when it was only meant to be a bridge.[23:24] The Importance of Prevention and CommunityBe In Health programs aren't just about healing. It's about prevention. People need to understand what feelings like fear and bitterness can do to the body.We all need to know the Word more so that we can discern what comes from God and what does not. It's important to be immersed in a community of believers so we can develop discernment. It's easy to get caught up in what's not from God because we're all trained by the imposter father in some way.[25:27] Reagan, excerpt from Henry's book: “You have to decide what you will embrace as truth. Because you need to learn the word well enough to know what is of God and what isn't. So wake up.” [29:42] Many Do Not Have a Relationship with GodOften, our earthly fathers give us a misrepresentation of our heavenly father. The trauma of not having the correct father impacts us in a way we can't even understand. The enemy knows this. When you realize who your heavenly father is, He will show you that nothing is impossible.[30:56] Donna: “When you have a revelation of our heavenly Father, nothing is impossible to you. Nothing. When I say nothing impossible, that means God can show you everything about everything. And the doors are open to you for understanding spiritual things at a level that you just never ever conceived of.”[31:57] About Be In Health Conferences Donna shares that they have many repeaters to their programs and conferences. This is because there's so much information that they can come back and learn in a different light. The reasons to join aren't just for physical health. It can also be about relationships or spiritual needs. Not only that, ill feelings typically come in layers and heaps. One conference isn't enough to work on all of it.Donna reminds us to take back control, repent, and give ourselves to God.[36:02] The Spiritual BattleWe are constantly fighting a spiritual battle. This is why we need the Word of God.Overcoming the enemy is not a lazy walk but a difficult one.The enemy has made so many narratives about the Bible that many of us don't even really know what the Bible says anymore.[40:09] The Truth About DiseaseThe reality is that God never gives people diseases. Yet, we often blame him for them.God can get your attention in different ways.Donna shares that when Henry died, she went through so much suffering. She realized that God wanted her to learn more about his love.God wants us to always remember His love for us no matter what happens. In the full episode, Donna shares Henry's inspiring story and dedication to God even when he had cardiac issues.[46:49] Donna: “Just because you don't overcome all things, doesn't mean you should not speak truth.”[48:03] How to Start HealingFirst, recognize exactly what you're battling. Ask yourself, “what sin am I battling?”Then you renounce it. Push back against what God did not intend you to be.You should also take responsibility for what you've done and repent. This process is not easy, but you need to put in the work and give God the glory.[52:54] Donna's Powerful StoriesIn Alaska, Donna met a man who was hit with a pipe, suffered from a stroke, and had a crippled arm.He realized who he was because of the Father's love and was healed.Donna also saw how cancers were healed despite being on stage four.Henry also reached out to people suffering from Multiple Chemical Sensitivity - Environmental Illnesses and shared the Gospel with them to help them have realizations about their disease.Donna shares that this is the impactful story that keeps her doing what she does. If so, how does this relate to generational curses?Have you ever heard of a book called A More Excellent Way by Henry W. Wright? Is there a connection between Salem and Jerusalem? When Paul speaks about the third heaven, what is he referring to?

My kids are on fall break and we’ve been home relaxing. I remembered Pippi Longstockings and thought I could share it with the kids. Even the intro music was so nostalgic for me! Everything came back to me as I was watching it. Before pressing play all I could remember is that she had red pigtails. As we watched more and more, the movie became familiar. It’s been close to 30 years since I’ve seen it. So I must have watched it so many times as a kid to remember it all! This has got me thinking about what happens to our brains when we repeat, repeat, repeat! We remember songs and movies because we’ve seen or heard them so many times. I know you are leaders and we’ve got to focus on repeating His word so that we will remember it! In the Bible, there are 365 verses that have to do with fear. And I don’t think that’s a coincidence! One of my favorite podcasts is Adam Young’s The Place We Find Ourselves. If you’ve been telling yourself your entire life that you’re scared or not good enough then it’s not going to solve the problem to read a verse one time and be healed. It takes repetition! I have really been on a “Rattled” kick. Listening to it all the time. Then I find my kids singing it. And I’m singing it. And it’s deep in my heart! When you go through a whole souls session, you leave with 5 pages of scriptures that you’re supposed to read aloud every day. It goes back to if you believe what the word of God says is the absolute truth. The book Exposing the Spiritual Roots of Disease: Powerful Answers to Your Questions About Healing and Disease Prevention by Henry W. Wright is teaching me that so much can keep us from God’s truth and even cause health issues from our insecurities, fears, pride, anger, or fear. This is why songs, movies, and stories are so brilliant. They tap into the creative side of your mind and help you remember! In the past, I would read a verse and it wouldn’t stick but putting it to music can help you retain it. If you haven’t watched The Chosen, I HIGHLY recommend it. It gives a great visual to the Gospel. Ask Alexa to play worship music, Hillsong, Bethel or Elevation. Look for ways to repeat, repeat, repeat!!! What do you have on repeat? Shalom! As a tribute to the recently departed Henry Wright I thought I would re-air this interview from 2010.Henry W. Wright was the president and founder of Be in Health Global. He was exposed to the power of spiritual healing at an early age when his mother was miraculously cured of terminal cancer and a fatal tumor that was wrapped around her jugular vein. Wright was committed to the belief that human problems are fundamentally spiritual, with associated physical and psychological manifestations. With his pre-med background and insights into the medical as well as the spiritual aspects of disease, he brought a fresh perspective to the process of ministering to the sick. He authored two books, A More Excellent Way and Exposing the Spiritual Roots of Disease. He also has presented seminars worldwide and across broad denominational lines for a number of years and was a frequent guest on many well-known television and radio programs. Wright was also the pastor of Hope of the Generations Church in Thomaston, Georgia.Enjoy some wonderful Chanukah music as well!
Hello and welcome to the Baha’i Blogcast with me your host, Rainn Wilson. In this series of podcasts I interview members of the Baha’i Faith and friends from all over the world about their hearts, and minds, and souls, their spiritual journeys, what they’re interested in, and what makes them tick. In this episode I interview professional life coach Susan Gammage from Canada. We talk about how she became a Baha'i, why she became a life coach, and how she uses the Baha'i Writings in her work and everything she does. We delve deep into the idea of "sin" and "shame" and she explains why she believes "it's the stories that separate us and the reactions that unite us". We talk about her very popular blog SusanGammage.com, and all of the books she's written and working on. We discuss the spiritualization of money; workaholism and other addictions; what she's currently reading, and how forgiveness is the key to solving so many things within us. To find out more about Susan Gammage, read her articles, discover her books and all that she does, go to her website: SusanGammage.com Here are a few links to some of the things we mentioned in our conversation, and some of the quotes from the Baha'i Writings we mentioned as well: * Susan mentions the book 'The Promulgation of Universal Peace' which is a compilation of talks delivered by Abdu'l‑Baha in New York, Montclair, and Jersey City: http://www.bahai.org/library/authoritative-texts/abdul-baha/promulgation-universal-peace/#f=f8-547 * Susan talks about the book 'A More Excellent Way' by Henry W. Wright: http://amzn.to/2opfhfz * I mention 'Brilliant Star' magazine: brilliantstarmagazine.org * Susan mentions 'Ocean', a free library of the world's religious literature: bahai-education.org * We discuss the recent March 1st, 2017 letter from the Universal House of Justice regarding economic life: http://universalhouseofjustice.bahai.org/activities-bahai-community/20170301_001 * We talk about the Ruhi sequence of books, which you can find out more about here: www.ruhi.org/materials/list.php * I ask Susan about her book 'Fear Into Faith - Overcoming Anxiety': http://susangammage.com/are-you-ready-to-turn-fear-into-faith * We talk about the Baha'i Funds, which you can read more about in this Baha'i Blog article called 'The Baha'i Fund: An Introduction': http://bahaiblog.net/site/2015/06/the-bahai-fund-an-introduction/ * Susan quotes this portion of a prayer by Baha'u'llah: "Glorified art Thou, O Lord my God! Every time I venture to make mention of Thee, I am held back by my mighty sins and grievous trespasses against Thee, and find myself wholly deprived of Thy grace, and utterly powerless to celebrate Thy praise. My great confidence in Thy bounty, however, reviveth my hope in Thee, and my certitude that Thou wilt bountifully deal with me emboldeneth me to extol Thee, and to ask of Thee the things Thou dost possess." * Susan quotes this prayer by Abdu'l-Baha: "O God! Refresh and gladden my spirit. Purify my heart. Illumine my powers. I lay all my affairs in Thy hand. Thou art my Guide and my Refuge. I will no longer be sorrowful and grieved; I will be a happy and joyful being. O God! I will no longer be full of anxiety, nor will I let trouble harass me. I will not dwell on the unpleasant things of life. O God! Thou art more friend to me than I am to myself. I dedicate myself to Thee, O Lord."
