In today's episode, Colleen explores a common challenge: the struggle to maintain consistent effort in self-care and personal growth. She uncovers the hidden beliefs that might be driving resistance and shares how shifting your motivation—from fixing yourself to gifting yourself—can transform your relationship with self-care. Learn how to reconnect with your future self, reframe your mindset, and take actions that feel like a gift rather than a chore. Key Takeaways: The Truth About Resistance: Resistance to self-care often stems from subconscious beliefs that you need to “fix” yourself. Shame-driven motivation triggers your brain's habenula, putting the brakes on your energy and motivation. Reframe Self-Care as a Gift: Think of self-care as a way to set your future self up for success, not as a punishment for being “broken.” Actions taken with the intention to benefit your future self feel more rewarding and are easier to sustain. Performance vs. Iterative Mindset: Shift from a performance-driven mindset (judging yourself by today's productivity) to an iterative mindset (learning from yesterday's results to create better outcomes). Celebrate progress and focus on creating strategies that align with your goals and intentions. Curiosity Over Judgment: When you feel resistance, pause and get curious about the story you're telling yourself. Resistance may reveal an action that's misaligned with your true needs or a belief rooted in shame. Actionable Steps: Notice the Story: Pay attention to the thoughts and beliefs that arise when you feel resistance to self-care or personal growth. Ask yourself: What story am I telling myself about why I have to do this? Reframe the Action: Shift your mindset to see self-care as a gift to your future self. For example, “I'm doing this now to make tomorrow easier and more enjoyable for me.” Practice Intentional Choices: Pause before acting and ask, “Does this action align with where I want to be and how I want to feel?” If not, adjust your actions or remove them from your to-do list. Reflect and Realign: Take time to evaluate whether your actions are motivated by self-criticism or self-love. Reorganize your priorities to focus on actions that genuinely serve you. Homework: Identify one self-care action that feels difficult or unmotivating and reframe it as a gift to your future self. Practice gratitude toward yourself for taking that action, and notice how it shifts your motivation and energy. Click here to BOOK A DISCOVERY CALL. In today's episode, Colleen introduces a transformative exercise to uncover the deeply rooted beliefs that might be holding you back from achieving your goals around alcohol. Learn how to identify these limiting thoughts, challenge their validity, and replace them with empowering beliefs that align with the identity you want to build. This episode is a must-listen for high-achieving women who are ready to break free from shame-based narratives and create lasting, identity-based change. Key Takeaways: Beliefs Are Thoughts You No Longer Question: Many limiting beliefs feel true simply because they are habitual thoughts you've practiced over time. These beliefs often stem from subconscious narratives about who you think you are. Identify and Challenge Your Limiting Beliefs: Think of someone you admire for their relationship with alcohol and ask yourself: What do you believe about them that makes them capable? Use this reflection to identify the gap between their identity and your current beliefs about yourself. Instead of asking “Why am I like this?”—which reinforces the limiting belief—shift to asking, “In what context is this belief not true about me?” Rewriting the Narrative: Find a context where the limiting belief doesn't apply, or borrow empowering beliefs from your role model. Create a replacement belief that feels true for you and practice thinking it consistently. Remember: Your feelings are a direct result of your thoughts. By changing your thoughts, you change how you feel and behave. Actionable Steps: Reflect on a Role Model: Identify someone whose relationship with alcohol you admire. Write down the beliefs you think they hold about themselves. Uncover Your Story: List the limiting beliefs you have about yourself that might be creating a gap. Identify one belief that feels the most true and painful. Challenge and Replace: Find an instance where this belief doesn't hold true or borrow a belief from your role model. Create a new belief that feels authentic and achievable. Practice replacing the limiting belief with this new thought every time it arises. Monitor Your Progress: Track moments when you successfully challenge old beliefs and celebrate small wins. This builds motivation and reinforces the new identity you're cultivating. Homework: Identify one limiting belief about yourself related to alcohol and replace it with a new, empowering thought. Write it down, and each time the old belief surfaces, consciously replace it with the new one. Over time, watch as your mindset and behavior begin to shift. Click here to BOOK A DISCOVERY CALL. Welcome to today's video, where we'll dive deep into one of the biggest obstacles that sabotage business owners—distractions! In this video, we're focusing on a mindset shift that can change the way you approach growth, revenue, and time management in your business. Today's topic is “Focus on the River, Not the Stream.” This concept can help you streamline your efforts, reduce time-draining activities, and ultimately increase your profits. Close Every Deal: Why It's a Trap As business owners, we have an instinct to try to close every deal, capture every sale, and serve every single customer. It seems like the more we do, the more we earn, right? Well, not always! While it might feel like you're being productive, focusing on every deal or opportunity can actually kill your time and diminish your profits. Not all opportunities are created equal. If you spend too much time chasing smaller, less profitable deals, or servicing customers that demand excessive attention, you're taking your eye off what truly matters—your rivers of revenue. This is where today's lesson comes in: Focus on the river, not the stream. The Rivers: Your Key Revenue Drivers So, what exactly are the "rivers" in your business? Rivers are your primary sources of income—the services or products that consistently bring in the most revenue, the most profit, and require the least amount of time to fulfill. Focusing on these revenue drivers is the key to scaling your business efficiently. Let's break it down: What Brings in the Most Revenue? – Look at the services or products that are consistently generating the highest volume of income for your business. These are your core offerings and should be prioritized. What Brings in the Most Profit? – Revenue alone isn't enough. You need to focus on the services that deliver the best profit margins. This is where your business's health truly lies. What Takes the Least Amount of Time but Delivers Great Profits? – Time is money! Identify the offerings that require minimal effort but still generate a good profit. These should be top priorities for scalability. What Has the Largest Potential Customer Base? – Focusing on products or services with broad appeal can exponentially grow your business, as these “rivers” can feed a steady stream of income for a long time. The Streams: Time-Draining Distractions On the other hand, “streams” are the distractions—the offerings or deals that take up your valuable time but don't deliver a high return. Here are some examples: Additional Services: These might add value but often take more time and resources to fulfill. If they don't significantly contribute to your profit, they might be worth cutting. High-Ticket Clients: While these customers bring in more money per transaction, they are often more demanding and require more attention. They can drain your time and energy, so consider whether they are worth the effort. Partnerships: While partnerships can bring in large deals, they often take a significant upfront investment of time with minimal immediate payoff. Be mindful of how much time you're spending on these opportunities. Large or Group Deals: Though they can look appealing, these deals often require heavy discounts or extended negotiation periods, which reduce overall profitability. Homework: Identify and Cut the Streams Your action item this week is simple yet powerful: Identify the streams in your business that are draining your time and profits. Which services, clients, or deals are you focusing on that aren't delivering the returns you need? Once you've identified them, make the hard decision to cut them out. Redirect your focus toward the rivers—the areas that are bringing in the majority of your revenue and profit. This mindset shift will free up your time, allowing you to focus on the opportunities that truly drive your business forward. Remember, growth comes not from doing more but from doing the right things. Don't forget to like, subscribe, and share this video! Leave a comment below on what streams you're cutting from your business this week!

Todays show is part 4 of 'Lack of Homes For Sale, Stop The Insanity! PART 1 (Open with some rapport, use your FORD elements (Family, Occupation, Recreation, Dreams)...(expect them to ask, 'how's real estate?' "_Bob__, I'm reaching out to all of my friends and clients this week just to share some market news with you so you stay informed. I'm sure you've noticed that there aren't many For Sale signs around right now. This means that a great house like yours typically is selling very quickly and not just for top dollar but in many cases well over top dollar. Your neighborhood is selling for x% higher than last year and typically in less than _x_ days. What do you think about that? (listen to answer) So now that you know that we could likely get at least __ for your home, what does that do to your plans? / Would you like me to prepare a market analysis to see what you could expect to net in today's market?" Note: Even if they say they're never moving, you can still ask who do they know who could use your help buying or selling real estate? Note: If they say the predictable: 'Well, that'd be great but where would I move to?'...move on to Part 2 of the script. "That's a great question and it's certainly on everyone's minds lately. Let's look at a variety of options and see which might be the most comfortable for you... A lot of people are buying first and then selling. With super low interest rates and the likelihood of your home selling as soon as we get it on the market, many people are just buying first, closing and then selling the old home. Some people are choosing to build and then sell. Building buys you time and you get a brand new house with nothing to repair. I've had a few clients instruct me to get them the most for their home and then they plan to travel for 6 months to a year. One of them is trying out a different vacation rental in 4 different cities they're considering moving to. They're really enjoying the adventure. Some of my clients are moving to their own vacation rental or to their own normal rental home so they have time to look around at their options. A few people have cashed out and moved in with family for the time being. They liked option of taking some time to look around. 2 of my clients have cashed out and moved into luxury rental units until they decide what's next for them. Another couple of clients have purchased homes to rehab so they can again take advantage of higher prices and make even more money during this unprecedented time. Either way, everyone seems to want to take advantage of their increased values., so what are you thinking as I tell you all of this? What does this do to your plans?" HOMEWORK: Identify and prioritize EVERY Expired and For Sale By Owner and speak with 100% of them using the script. These are all people who already have their hand up, self-identifying that they wish to SELL! Set a goal and execute on speaking to 100% of your database using that script over the next 90 days or less. If you have for example, if you have 200 people on your list, you can contact ALL of them when you achieve 10 contacts daily. If that's too much, make it 5 contacts daily for 60 days. Recently, as I've tried to acknowledge my own reality, I've been surprised by the variety of responses I've received. Whether it's friends, family, people in recovery, people out of recovery, as I've acknowledged the reality around me, I've been told to not think about it, ignore it, stop blaming, stop playing the victim. Society really teaches us not to acknowledge the difficult things in our lives. We're told not to dwell on the negative and not to focus on the difficult things. Dr. Bessel A. van der Kolk tells us: "As long as you keep secrets and suppress information, you are fundamentally at war with yourself... The critical issues is allowing yourself to know what you know. That takes an enormous amount of courage." (Found in the Book: The Body Keeps The Score) Until we acknowledge our own reality - the past and the present, we can't heal or change it. In this episode I share four reasons why we don't acknowledgement things in our lives and the power acknowledgement gives us. Homework: Identify two things in your life that you need to acknowledge that you have been avoiding. Write them down and share them with at least one person.

Scripture: Esther 4:1-17 Homework: Identify where in your life you are sending someone fresh clothes. Attempt to break that habit by sitting with those who are hurting without trying to fix their problems. Practice listening intently. Have a great week!
Scripture: Esther 3:1-15 Homework: Identify times when you "whatify" people. By increasing your awareness of those habits, practice letting them go, and find a means to empathize others. Be gentle with yourselves and with others. Have a great week!
Scripture: Mark 15:1-20 Homework: Identify a part of your life where you are being called out of indifference. It could be writing an email, making a new friend, supporting someone, joining a group, or standing up for a cause. Whatever it is and however insignificant you might be tempted to think your impact will be, stand up against the temptation of indifference this week. Have a great week!
Scripture: Mark 12:35-40 Sermon: Gina Gore Homework: Identify ways in which you discourage others or keep them from experiencing the love of God. Practice letting those habits go. Likewise, give up the ways in which you discourage yourself. Go easy on yourself. You have the love the source of all being on your side. Live into that love for yourself and others. Have a great week!
Reading: Mark 2:1-12 Homework: Identify a paralyzed or atrophied part of your life. It could be anything from an emotion or a dream to a relationship or perspective. Invite God to partner in becoming more mindful - more attentive - to that aspect of your life. As you become more aware of it, let go of what is holding it back. Bring life to that paralyzed part from the source of all life. Maybe that means giving something up. Maybe it means starting something over. It certainly means deeper partnership with the divine. Have a great week!
