The average workplace catering order size is up 12% to about $420. That's good news for restaurants, said Cindy Klein Roche, chief growth officer for ezCater, a platform that connects workplaces with dining concepts. But restaurants must optimize their online presence and present an appealing menu to get a piece of that growing pie. About 59% of those who place workplace orders are swayed by the menu, with budget-friendliness following close behind at 37%.While companies have been using catering as a return-to-office incentive, food has now evolved into a vehicle to drive productivity and collaboration, Roche explains. And employees who first try a restaurant at work will then return to that restaurant on their own or with a group for lunch or dinner. With B2B catering on the rise, she offers valuable insights as to how restaurants can boost that revenue stream, why breakfast and afternoon treats are growing as catering opportunities and where workplace catering is heading next.

“Connectivity is your brand. And with RYTHMz, MSPs can deliver that brand anywhere.” — Leonard J. Dimiceli, RYTHMz In a fast-paced and highly practical conversation, Leonard J. Dimiceli, Vice President of Sales at RYTHMz, joined Doug Green, Publisher of Technology Reseller News, to unveil how managed service providers (MSPs) can tap into a brand-new revenue stream: delivering internet anywhere, anytime. As the industry gears up for GTIA's ChannelCon, Dimiceli previewed the company's innovative offerings—compact, ruggedized units that combine bonded multi-carrier SIM technology, enterprise-grade antennas, SD-WAN, and plug-and-play functionality to create a true “internet-in-a-box” solution. From Emergencies to Events: Monetizing the Gaps in Connectivity Whether it's a construction site, a food truck, a pop-up event, or an office awaiting primary service installation, RYTHMz delivers temporary and backup internet to keep businesses online. Dimiceli shared how MSPs can now offer guaranteed connectivity, respond instantly to outages, and generate recurring and on-demand revenue without competing with existing PSA, RMM, or cybersecurity solutions. “It's not if they'll call you—it's when. And with RYTHMz, MSPs can be the hero, not the messenger,” Dimiceli noted. Channel-Only, MSP-First RYTHMz is built for the channel. With its B-Link 5G unit as the go-to solution and options like the Queen Bee and Drone Response for larger and smaller use cases, MSPs can deploy connectivity scaled to their clients' needs—from five users to 100,000. What's more, RYTHMz supports MSPs with go-to-market strategies, event-specific lead gen ideas, and even marketing materials. One partner turned a RYTHMz box into a local event billboard—offering free Wi-Fi in exchange for brand exposure and email capture. Recurring Revenue Without Disruption For MSPs, RYTHMz represents “net new” recurring revenue without having to change or replace existing services. Partners can even keep units on standby and offer emergency service plans as a premium subscription—generating revenue even when the box isn't deployed. See It Live at GTIA ChannelCon RYTHMz will exhibit at GTIA ChannelCon at booth 522, where attendees can demo the full lineup and catch a few Star Wars-themed surprises. “We're not asking you to rip anything out,” Dimiceli said. “This is an additive opportunity—new revenue, new value, no disruption.” To learn more, visit rythmz.com or contact Leonard directly at leonard.dimiceli@rythmz.com.

In this episode of the Millionaire Car Salesman Podcast, Sean V. "Expand your horizons with all the different means of which you're selling." – Dayne Thornicroft The conversation opens with the success story of multimillionaire car salesman Cody Carter and highlights how his results stem from strategic use of auto brokers and marketplaces. Rammy and Dayne pull back the curtain on how AutoBandit sets itself apart from traditional brokers by offering a transparent, dealer-first platform backed by a rigorous vetting process to deliver high-quality, real leads. "He lives where the shoppers hang out." – Rammy Joudeh, on Cody Carter's strategy. This episode dives deep into the current leasing climate, explores how recent legislative changes like the “big beautiful bill” are impacting the market, and provides practical strategies for dealerships to diversify their prospecting channels and close more deals. "We produce a completely desked deal and qualified buyers.” – Rammy Joudeh Whether you're a GM, GSM, Internet Director, or top-performing sales professional, this episode is packed with insights that can help you scale smarter, sell faster, and take full advantage of what the marketplace model has to offer! Tune in to learn how AutoBandit is helping dealerships increase sales volume—and why now is the time to reach out and get started. Key Takeaways: ✅ Success Leaves Clues: Emulating the strategies of successful salespeople like Cody Carter can unlock new levels of achievement for sales professionals. ✅ Marketplace Versus Auto Broker: Understand the distinct benefits of using an online marketplace over traditional auto brokers to expand reach and streamline the car leasing process. ✅ Leasing Benefits: Discover why leasing is a thriving option in the automotive industry, particularly in light of recent economic and legislative changes. ✅ Transparent Transactions: Importance of maintaining transparency in vehicle pricing and the purchase process to promote customer trust and satisfaction. ✅ Risk-Free Opportunities: AutoBandit offers a risk-free way for dealers to list inventory, only charging fees upon the completion of a sale, providing a clear advantage over traditional sales models.   About Dayne Thornicroft Dayne brings expertise in finance and insurance, combined with a robust knowledge of data analytics. His analytical skills played a key role in co-founding AutoBandit with Rammy. Dayne's ability to optimize automotive deals and his deep understanding of complex leasing strategies make him a pivotal force in providing digital automotive solutions designed to elevate customer experiences.   About Rammy Joudeh Rammy is a serial technology entrepreneur with a rich background in SEO, search engine optimization, and online marketing. Driven by his passion for cars, Rammy co-founded AutoBandit, an online marketplace focused on transforming how vehicles are leased and financed. His experience includes founding successful startups and applying innovative marketing strategies to the automotive space.   Mastering the Art of Car Sales: Insights from the Millionaire Car Salesman Podcast Key Takeaways Leverage Proven Strategies: Cody Carter's success stems from embracing diverse methods such as Facebook groups, leasing mastery, and auto brokers. Embrace Transparency in Marketplaces: Establish marketplaces, like AutoBandit, provide a risk-free, transparent platform for car dealerships. Future-Proofing with Leasing: Understanding emerging trends and new legislation can reshape dealership strategies and consumer interactions.   In the world of automotive sales, achieving outstanding success demands both innovation and a keen understanding of market dynamics. The Millionaire Car Salesman Podcast provides a treasure trove of insights through candid discussions with industry insiders. The conversations with Sean V. Bradley and automotive experts Rammy Joudeh and Dayne Thornicroft underscore pivotal themes in today's automotive marketplace. By examining the strategies of top sellers, the role of innovative marketplaces, and the reshaping landscape due to new legislation, it becomes clear how these elements synergize to redefine success in car sales. Harnessing the Cody Carter Model: Strategic Success in Car Sales Cody Carter stands as a beacon of success in the automotive industry, consistently achieving remarkable sales numbers. His multifaceted strategy serves as a blueprint for other salespeople aiming to elevate their performance. As Sean V. Bradley notes, "Success leaves clues." Carter's approach is not just about exceptional interpersonal skills but about strategically positioning himself where the customers are: "He lives where the shoppers hang out," states Rammy Joudeh. Carter leverages several key tactics. His utilization of Facebook groups allows him to connect with potential buyers effectively. His expertise in leasing, specifically through self-service pricing platforms such as Least Genius, empowers customers with the information they crave, thus enhancing the buying experience. Moreover, Carter's strategic alliances with auto brokers create a pipeline for consistent, qualified leads. Understanding and implementing these elements can drive significant improvements in a salesperson's business model. Dealers and sales professionals need to adopt a mindset of continuous learning and adaptation, leveraging environments where customers are most active. Redefining Transparency in Car Dealerships with Marketplaces In an era where trust and transparency hold paramount importance, marketplaces like AutoBandit emerge as revolutionary platforms for dealerships. These marketplaces are transforming the car sales landscape by providing risk-free opportunities to connect buyers and dealerships. "We want to perform; if we don't perform, that's on us," says Rammy Joudeh, emphasizing the accountability and confidence embedded in their model. AutoBandit, as highlighted by Dayne Thornicroft, offers a unique approach by integrating transparency into the transaction process. With practices such as running soft credit apps, verifying IDs, and securing deposits upfront, the marketplace minimizes friction between buyer and dealership. This ensures that only qualified buyers engage, enhancing efficiency and customer satisfaction. By shifting focus to such platforms, dealerships can drive customer confidence and improve sales. They provide an avenue to bypass traditional lead generation pitfalls by creating seamless experiences that culminate in qualified, delivery-ready prospects. Navigating the Legislative Landscape: Impacts and Opportunities New legislation, particularly the recent "big beautiful bill," holds the potential to reshape the automotive industry. As Dayne Thornicroft outlines, significant aspects of these legislative changes include adjustments to EV rebates, impacting leasing's attractiveness. "Leasing a hybrid and an ev… their penetration rates… are much, much higher," he states, reflecting the growing importance of understanding these market shifts. The implications for car sales lie in adapting to these changes proactively. By capitalizing on current benefits, such as EV lease incentives before they phase out, dealerships can enhance their value proposition to customers. Such foresight ensures dealerships remain competitive amidst evolving legislative environments. Moreover, the conversation among the podcast's hosts touches on an evolving market ethos—consumers now expect pricing transparency. With the enforcement of initiatives like the Cars Act waning, responsibility falls on dealerships to maintain trust through integrity and openness, ultimately nurturing long-term customer relationships. Synthesizing Market Dynamics for Unparalleled Success The wisdom imparted through conversations on the Millionaire Car Salesman Podcast encapsulates key elements essential for domination in the car sales arena. From Cody Carter's strategic mastery to the disruptive innovations introduced by marketplaces like AutoBandit, and through the lens of crucial legislative shifts, a holistic understanding of these dynamics is vital. Dealers and sales professionals are encouraged to analyze and incorporate these insights, strategically aligning themselves with proven practices while remaining flexible to adapt to new challenges and opportunities. In doing so, they not only secure their success but redefine the standards of excellence in the automotive industry, paving the path for a future where knowledge, transparency, and strategic acumen drive unparalleled success.     Resources: AutoBandit: Looking for a better way to move inventory and close more deals? What does it take to build a recruiting firm that survives three recessions, operates across borders, and thrives without retainers? In this episode of The Resilient Recruiter, we spotlight David Fishman, founder of Sparrow Company—a bi-national executive search and staffing firm based in both the U.S. and Mexico. David shares how he rebuilt after nearly losing everything in 2009 and developed a resilient, multi-revenue business that consistently closes $30K+ deals on contingency. With a team of 12 and placements ranging from hourly plant workers to C-suite executives, David proves that long-term success in recruiting isn't about flashy tech or a narrow niche—it's about grit, loyalty, smart diversification, and building client trust. Whether you're a firm owner, solo operator, or team leader, this episode will inspire you to think bigger, act faster, and future-proof your business model. Episode Highlights: [2:30] Why David's recruiting journey started with a family staffing business and a Coast Guard exit [7:00] How the 2009 recession nearly wiped him out—and what it took to survive [16:00] Expanding into Mexico: a single client request that changed everything [24:00] Building a binational team and training his kids to become recruiters [36:00] Why he's not retained (yet), and how he consistently closes $30K+ fees on contingency [47:00] How Sparrow places both plant supervisors and presidents using the same recruiting mechanics [1:06:00] David's multiple revenue streams: recruiting projects, temp staffing, nearshore talent [1:13:00] Why impulsivity is his superpower and what legacy he wants to leave behind Why Diversification is Non-Negotiable After nearly losing his business during the 2009 downturn, David made a key decision: stop relying on one industry or one type of placement. Today, Sparrow Company operates across manufacturing, engineering, mining, supply chain, and IT—placing roles at all levels across North America and Europe. Key takeaway for recruiters: Think beyond niche. Build a multi-layered model across industry, function, level, and geography. 3 Revenue Streams Every Recruiting Firm Owner Should Know To protect against market shifts and add recurring income, David built three revenue lines: Embedded recruiters on short-term contracts Temporary staffing through a dedicated local firm Contract engineers working remotely from Mexico for U.S. clients These offerings helped him scale sustainably, stabilize cash flow, and serve clients more deeply. “Every time we add a new service, it helps us survive another economic cycle.” How to Close $30K+ Deals Without Retainers David works 100% on contingency—but trains his clients to expect fewer resumes and faster, more precise matches. His firm is known for first-candidate hires and high-level execution without the upfront fees. “I'm not retained, but I'm still beating the firms that are. Because I'm hungrier.” About David Fishman David Fishman is the founder of Sparrow Company, a bi-national staffing and executive search firm incorporated in the United States and Mexico. With 30+ years in recruiting, he's placed CEO, CFO, VP, Director, Plant Manager, and Engineering roles across global manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, and Tier-One automotive clients. Sparrow's clients include publicly traded multinationals, private equity-backed firms, and international companies operating across the U.S., Mexico, Switzerland, and Germany. David is a member of the Pinnacle Society, recognized by the California Staffing Professionals Association as Staffing Professional of the Year, and frequently speaks on recruiting best practices and production hiring. He's held roles as a banker and executive within prominent television, cable, and radio businesses, including Univision Networks and Media Co. In this discussion, we will examine the foundational structure of the broadcast television industry, tracing its evolution from the pre-Internet hub-and-spoke model of the major networks, NBC, CBS, ABC, and Fox. Simeon breaks down the revenue streams that sustain this ecosystem and how subscriber fees from multi-channel video programming distributors like YouTube TV and Comcast cable are distributed among the networks and their affiliates. In this episode, I'm joined by Jordana Matsos, founder of Higher Equity, who shares how she launched a solo sales recruitment agency with no prior agency experience—and grew it into a $500K+ business by being radically transparent, highly organized, and boldly direct. We discuss why blunt messaging often works better than polished sales talk, how Jordana systematized her entire operation to run lean, and the lessons she learned after scaling too quickly. She also shares how she created an online academy for job seekers, turning inbound candidate traffic into an additional revenue stream. Episode Highlights: [03:43] From sales leader to recruiter: Jordana's career pivot [11:16] Building the business: pricing, tools, and tech stack [14:28] Leveraging video and short-form content to attract talent [21:58] What went wrong when she scaled too fast [28:45] Creating the HireQuity Academy to serve job seekers [40:46] SOPs and templates that saved time and ensured consistency [45:48] Business development: blunt pitches, smart triggers, and warm referrals [58:30] Why transparency builds trust with both clients and candidates Blunt Messaging That Converts Jordana's “blunt honesty” approach is one of her biggest differentiators. She shares full job details upfront—company name, comp, and expectations—which earns her 55–70% candidate response rates. For clients, her pitch deck goes out in the first message, including fee structure and recent placements, eliminating unnecessary back-and-forth and building immediate trust. Systematizing Solo Success Coming from a corporate sales background, Jordana knew she had to create repeatable, efficient processes. She templatized everything—from client onboarding to follow-ups and outreach. Tools like Google Sheets, Taplio, Otter.ai, and Aspect helped her automate and scale as a solo operator. Lessons from Scaling Too Fast After a strong first year billing nearly $300K solo, Jordana hired a full-time recruiter, BD rep, and sourcer. But expenses skyrocketed, margins plummeted to 20%, and client relationships suffered. She course-corrected by downsizing, letting go of low-margin clients, and doubling down on her niche—bringing her gross margins back to 60%+. Creating a Revenue Stream with Purpose Unable to serve every candidate personally, Jordana built the HireQuity Academy—an online course that gives job seekers an inside look at how recruiters think. With templates, interview prep, and real-world advice, it helps candidates stand out—and gives Jordana an additional income stream without trading time for money. About Jordana Matsos Jordana spent 15 years leading sales teams before founding Higher Equity in 2021. She now helps companies hire high-performing sales talent while running the HireQuity Academy to support job seekers. Dots Oyebolu and Cory Henke, Founder and CEO of Variable Media, discuss modern paid media intelligence. Cory shares insights from his journey via major agencies and platforms to build a data-first paid media agency. He unpacks the challenges and philosophies around attribution and campaign measurement and explains how business intelligence tools like Power BI help brands unlock deeper visibility into what really drives performance. Key Takeaways:(01:20) Cory's marketing journey.(04:36) Marketers who rely solely on in-platform data miss the bigger picture — merging CRM, web analytics and ad platforms reveals deeper insights.(07:51) Cory believes that attribution is unsolvable because great outcomes stem from many variables.(09:50) In a dynamic ad landscape, Cory emphasizes having a conservative projection and a flexible testing strategy.(11:16) For new brands, organic growth should precede paid media — proving demand without ad spend is key to long-term success.(13:03) Attribution models are biased by platform incentives; YouTube, for instance, creates halo effects that platforms often credit to search.(16:28) Cory's team customizes attribution by extracting campaign data from multiple platforms, merging it via Power BI for clearer performance storytelling.(21:31) CPM is Cory's favorite marketing metric — unlike other KPIs, it reveals raw costs and helps evaluate the efficiency of reach, regardless of engagement.(27:42) Staying top of mind and testing new formats is key as digital advertising continues to evolve beyond traditional performance metrics.Resources Mentioned:Cory Henkehttps://www.linkedin.com/in/coryhenke/Variable Media | LinkedInhttps://www.linkedin.com/company/variable-media/Variable Media | Websitehttps://variable.media/Power BIhttps://www.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/products/power-biCory Henke on Twitterhttps://twitter.com/CoryHenkeInsightful Links:https://online.mason.wm.edu/blog/data-analytics-in-digital-marketinghttps://www.akkio.com/post/business-intelligence-in-marketinghttps://www.netsuite.com/portal/resource/articles/erp/business-intelligence-strategy.shtmlThanks for listening to the “Marketing Leadership” podcast, brought to you by Listen Network. Send us a textEver wonder what happens when theatrical magic collides with punk rock energy? Sasha Mereu embodies this fascinating intersection as the self-styled "punk rock Willy Wonka" - and he's on a mission to transform how musicians earn a living.Sasha takes us on a captivating journey through his remarkable career spanning over 1,000 stages worldwide, including a Broadway run in 2016 with "The Illusionists: Turn of the Century" - which became Broadway's highest-grossing magic show. His performances blend theatrical elements with musical prowess, creating an electric, unpredictable energy that keeps audiences on the edge of their seats. Rather than avoiding eye contact like many musicians, Sasha dives into crowds, creating personal connections and sometimes conjuring balloon animals out of thin air.Beyond his performances, Sasha delivers a compelling analysis of how the music industry fundamentally changed with Napster and subsequent streaming platforms. The traditional model of recording albums, touring, and selling physical copies has collapsed, leaving most musicians struggling to earn living wages. His response? Co-founding Fairvu, a benefit corporation building a digital platform that enables musicians to livestream concerts with virtual ticket sales, store media on-demand, and sell merchandise - all while keeping 90% of their earnings. What makes Fairview unique isn't just its artist-friendly economics but its structure as a benefit corporation balancing profit with community benefits and complete transparency. Rather than seeking large investors, they're taking a grassroots approach by asking musicians to contribute just $5 each to build the platform together.Whether you're a musician feeling the squeeze of streaming economics, a fan wanting to better support artists you love, or simply fascinated by creative entrepreneurs tackling industry-wide challenges - Sasha's insights offer a refreshing perspective on creating sustainable artistic careers in the digital age. Check out fairvu.net to support their mission and help reshape the music industry's future.Want to be a guest on Living the Dream with Curveball?
