What if the reason you're not moving faster has nothing to do with discipline, motivation, or intelligence and everything to do with time?In this episode, I'm breaking down the Compression Protocol, a core module from Founders Inner Circle, and revealing how high-level founders bend time by manufacturing urgency, collapsing timelines, and forcing their nervous system into execution mode. You'll learn why:Speed is not a skill — it's a constraintPerfectionism is just procrastination in a tuxedoYour brain only enters peak performance when the deadline feels impossibleWe'll unpack how Parkinson's Law quietly destroys momentum, how artificial urgency triggers flow states at a biological level, and how elite operators condense months of work into days using ruthless time compression. This episode introduces practical frameworks like:The 50% Rule for instantly doubling execution speedThe 60-Minute Power Block for zero-friction outputThe concept of weekly sprints instead of monthly goalsListen if you're ready to stop managing time and start bending it.Want to Build and Scale Your Business? Scaling isn't just about strategy, it's about capacity. Yet, I find our industry is often missing so much nuance when it comes to the conversation around capacity. In this solo episode, I dive deep into what it actually means to grow your capacity without burning out or over-functioning. We'll talk about the two types of capacity that are required to expand and grow and what order you need to address them in. This is hard-won information from my own growth journey and working with so many clients that have scaled to seven figure years and beyond. In this episode, you'll hear: • Why expanding your capacity is such a misunderstood topic IMO • The two types of support required to actually scale (in a way that won't leave you crispy) • The most important question to ask yourself to figure out where things need to shift for you • The most common blocks that limit your ability to expand • Why there actually is a *right* order to move in if you want to shift your capacity quickly • What it looks like to build capacity for both challenges and joy Episode Links Join my Facebook group Connect with Molly on Instagram Learn more about Molly on her website If you're enjoying the coaching you're hearing, check out my Ultimate Mini Course to Maximizing Results in 1:1 Coaching to learn the proven strategies & foundational tools for creating an in-demand container that gets your clients real results
Every business owner trying to scale beyond the solopreneur or micropreneur stage reaches this point. A ceiling (maybe a revenue plateau, maybe a leadership problem, maybe a team or leadership skill gap) that prevents getting to that next level. Good thing we have Chantel Gilbert, our 2025 HerBusiness Member of the Year and CEO of Bluegum Electrical Solutions, here to tell us exactly how she did it. In this episode, she's showing us how she stepped into the CEO role of her business in more than title alone — and scaled her 7-figure business. Here's What You'll Discover in this Episode: Chantel reveals the surprisingly common leadership trap women fall into, and why solving every problem yourself keeps you stuck (even if it feels good to be the one with the answers!) How to empower your team to take initiative and responsibility for the business's long-term success (and how YOU can let go, in order to grow). Discover the GENIUS decision-making tool that will help your team solve 90-100% of their problems independently, so you don't have to be involved in every decision. Chantel's must-haves (or must-not-haves!) in order to scale successfully — and why reviewing your systems, processes, and habits is step #1. How to use data and cycles to experiment in your business, rather than simply following what the industry says (or guessing!) What scaling really means for your work-life 'balance'. And what changes to expect with your capacity, seasons of life, and personal life. How to realistically prepare your business for the next stage of growth, and start building foundations now. What happens when you sell your company, then buy it back to take it private again? We sit down with John Roman, CEO of Battle Brands, to unpack the bold moves behind Battle Box's rise—from a Facebook-fueled launch to an eight-figure portfolio, a high-profile acquisition, and a decisive buyback that reset the roadmap on his terms.John walks us through the early grind, the moment he left a comfortable corporate path, and the hard choices that unlocked growth: firing a non-performing partner, recruiting a top creator in-house, and making content the engine rather than a side project. We dig into why human storytelling beats hard selling, how raw behind-the-scenes moments build trust, and why community is the most defensible moat in e-commerce. If you're aiming to reduce churn and raise LTV, you'll hear how reframing “subscription” as “membership” unlocks recurring revenue with real perks, belonging, and out-of-box value that customers actually feel. Then we go deep on live shopping. After years of hype, John explains why the U.S. market is finally ready, how Whatnot differs from doomscrolling on TikTok, and what it takes to scale from a 10-hour test to 45 hours of weekly programming with multiple hosts and show runners. The playbook is fast, vertical, and emotionally driven—short attention spans, quick decisions, and high intent. We connect the dots between creator-led content, membership benefits, retention strategy, and live shopping as an always-on touchpoint that turns fans into customers and customers into advocates. If you're building an e-commerce brand, this conversation delivers practical ideas on content strategy, community building, membership design, retention levers, and the live commerce stack. Today on the Invest In Her podcast, host Catherine Gray talks with Agata "Aggie" Chydzinski, co-founder of Athena Advisory Collective, a women-owned advisory firm that partners with founders to grow and scale the long-term value of their businesses. In this episode, Aggie shares how her two decades of experience as a strategist, operator, and advisor shaped her hands-on, relational approach to helping business owners strengthen financial clarity, streamline operations, and build scalable systems. She explains how Athena serves clients across industries with revenues ranging from $300K to $50M, and how personalized guidance can drive meaningful enterprise growth. Cash flow should never hinge on a silent algorithm. We sit down with Lissa Fryxell from Easy Pay Direct to unpack the decision most founders make by default—aggregator versus dedicated merchant accounts—and why that single choice can determine whether your payouts keep flowing during spikes, launches, and headline shocks. Lissa shares the jaw-dropping story of a small business owner who ran one legitimate high-ticket transaction and lost access to $93,000 for more than a year, then breaks down how to prevent that scenario with smarter underwriting and proactive risk design. We get practical about building a checkout that actually grows revenue. From one-click upsells and cross-sells to subscriptions and wallets, Lissa explains how to increase conversion and average order value without adding friction. She also weighs the tradeoffs of Buy Now, Pay Later and shows where it lifts sales versus where it can siphon off valuable upsell moments. If you run on Shopify, you'll hear the real limits of aggregator-based payments during product launches and seasonal surges—and the alternative integrations that preserve control, support high-risk categories, and keep you as the merchant of record.Chargebacks, holds, and mystery fees don't have to be a cost of doing business. Learn the simple fixes that reduce disputes—clear statement descriptors, accessible support, and visible refund policies—plus how to use alerts and response windows to win more cases. We even share a quick way to calculate your true effective rate and decide when it's time to negotiate or switch. If e-commerce growth is your aim, treat payments as a revenue system, not just a cost center.Enjoyed the conversation? Revenue looks great on paper, but you still feel broke. This disconnect between what the numbers show and what your bank account reflects is one of the most frustrating experiences for women entrepreneurs. You're working harder than ever, your sales are growing, yet somehow there's never enough left over to feel truly secure or to invest in the things that would actually move your business forward. We so rarely have frank conversations about where money actually flows in our businesses. While the entrepreneurial world loves to talk about growing revenue and scaling teams, nobody's teaching you how to analyze whether your money is flowing through your business in a way that sets you up for profit or exhaustion. Listen in this week as Eleanor walks you through the margin stack framework: four critical cost allocations between revenue and profit that tell the complete story of your business health. You'll discover why growing revenue without proper profit architecture leads to resentment and burnout, and exactly which numbers reveal whether you're building wealth or just feeding an expensive machine. Ready to scale your Amazon business? Click here to book a strategy call. https://calendly.com/firingtheman/amazonTired of guessing your way through stockouts, overstock, and Amazon's ever-shifting fees? We sat down with Randy Thebeau—programmer, analyst, Amazon seller, and former 3PL owner—who turned years of warehouse chaos into SKU Compass, a practical system for sellers who want clarity, not dashboards for show. Randy shares how he set a hard revenue target and deadline to quit his bank job, then learned the hard way why spreadsheets crumble under daily sales swings, multi-channel expansion, and the hidden math of bundles and kits.We unpack the habits that protect margins: treating safety stock as non-negotiable insurance, measuring coverage in days (not just units), and setting channel-specific thresholds so FBA stays lean while sales stay steady. Randy breaks down a hybrid approach to AWD and 3PL that speeds replenishment without surrendering your P&L to auto systems, plus a simple rule to cut long-term storage by taking manual control when FBA dips below a 30-day window. We also get tactical on returns triage for higher-ticket products, supplier standards that prevent rework (barcode at the factory or walk away), and why two manufacturers per SKU can save a launch when quality slips. If multi-channel sales have turned your inventory into a guessing game, you'll hear how bundling can push up average order value while SKU Compass handles the tricky component math across Amazon, Walmart, Shopify, WooCommerce, and ShipStation-powered channels. The throughline is simple: right-size your stock, protect cash flow, and make fewer—but sharper—decisions that compound over time. Scaling takes more than hiring fast or chasing revenue — it takes healthy systems, a clear mindset shift, and the courage to let go. In today's episode, Rocco's back — not just as a lawyer, but as a founder who's been in the trenches — to help us uncover the hidden growth traps that keep leaders stuck inside their own frame.
What if the most powerful marketing strategy for your business isn't happening on social media, but in small rooms with 25-50 people? There's scaling advice, and then there's feminist scaling advice. And here's the truth: these two things are actually quite different. If you've ever received business advice that felt off, like it wasn't accounting for your full experience as a woman leader, there's a reason for that. In this week's episode, Eleanor is pulling back the curtain on why traditional scaling advice often falls short for women entrepreneurs, and what we really need to consider when building scalable businesses. Listen in this week to learn why gender matters deeply in scaling advice. As someone who has mentored over 750 women leaders, Eleanor has seen firsthand how transformative the right kind of scaling advice can be. What happens when your hands-on hustle stops working? In this episode, growth strategist Chad Cannon reveals why the skills that got you to $3 million won't get you to $10 million—and what needs to change.Chad breaks down the critical mindset shifts founder-led businesses must make to scale sustainably: accepting 70-80% quality from your team, transitioning from seller to sales leader, and learning when to hire your second-in-command (hint: probably later than you think). He shares real numbers from clients growing from $3M to $7M revenue, including how to allocate your marketing budget across channels, why Reddit matters for AI-driven discovery, and which metrics actually move the needle. You'll learn why vision "leaks" without constant reinforcement, how to avoid drowning in data by focusing on just three KPIs, and why tracking lead measures beats obsessing over revenue numbers. It's something you can spot, understand and clear.” – Clare Josa Beyond Self-Doubt: Spotting the Real Signs Clare explains that self-doubt is about skills, while imposter syndrome cuts deeper — it's about identity. Self-doubt sounds like: “I don't know enough, I need more experience.” Imposter syndrome sounds like: “I'm not good enough. They'll find me out.” This distinction matters, because the tools that help with self-doubt often fail when the issue is imposter syndrome. Coaches who miss this can leave clients feeling stuck or even unsafe. The Myths Holding Us Back In recent years, imposter syndrome has gained visibility, but with that has come misinformation. Clare shares how some dismiss it as: “Just self-doubt in disguise.” “A construct designed to hold women back.” Her response? Labels aside, what matters is helping people recognise the patterns keeping them small, and giving them tools to move forward. “Confidence grows fastest when you have the right tools and support at your fingertips.” – Clare Josa Practical Tools for Coaches Clare's new book and app provide 26 simple, safe tools coaches can use the moment imposter syndrome gatecrashes a session. These tools help coaches to: Clear limiting patterns without opening emotional “Pandora's boxes.” Shift their clients mindset fast with confidence and safety. Give coaches clarity on how far to go — and when to signpost deeper support. The goal isn't to turn every coach into an imposter syndrome specialist, but to equip them with the confidence to help clients without overstepping. Imposter Syndrome, Introverts and Change Clare also clears up another myth: imposter syndrome doesn't only affect introverts. Both introverts and extroverts experience it, but they cope differently: Introverts tend to overthink. Extroverts tend to overact. And because imposter syndrome is linked to identity, it often surfaces during times of transition—like stepping into a new role, raising prices, or navigating fast-changing technology. AI as a Confidence Companion Perhaps most intriguing, Clare has developed Ask Clare AI — an app trained on millions of her own words to give coaches, managers and individuals real-time support between sessions. It's not designed to replace the coach, but to act as a safe, trauma-informed resource when self-doubt or fear strikes in the moment. A Final Thought to Reflect On Coaching through imposter syndrome isn't about fixing clients — it's about helping them reconnect with who they really are. When coaches can spot the difference between self-doubt and identity-level struggle, and when they have the tools to guide clients safely through those first steps, everyone benefits. As Clare reminds us, the real goal is bigger than overcoming imposter syndrome. It's about building a world where people feel comfortable in their own skin, confident in their contribution, and free to reach their full potential. So instead of asking, “How do I help my clients push through self-doubt?” try asking, “How can I give them the tools and confidence to break free from imposter syndrome for good?” That small shift in perspective can change not just a coaching session, but the whole trajectory of a client's success.
