On the 56th Anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther King, Ken shares his final in the Substack series - Biblical Authority. On this day, we remember the tragedy and the legacy of the Civil Rights champion. While the Bible has been and is today abused and weaponized, there's a beauty we dare not miss. MLK illustrates the point.Ken's Substack Page - Biblical Authority Part IV - A Thing of Beauty is a Joy ForeverFrom my book My Creed: An Unauthorized Rewrite of the Generally Accepted Evangelical Doctrinal Statement: Reflections on Authentic Belief by Kenneth Kemp (2020) Kindle and hard copy available on AmazonSupport the show

MIRACLES FOR YOU Sondra Ray & Markus Ray on A Course in Miracles
What is needed for us "to accept God's Word?" To be so close to accept this Word is to be stepping into Peace and Joy forever. We need more than our meager attempts to accept this Word. We need the help of the Holy Spirit for this acceptance. We need His Grace to put us into this full truth of A Course in Miracles. We have to be open to receive the Grace. "Joy Forever" is held out to us. Can we stop projecting "plans that did not work?" Grace is here for us when we stop doing the things that do not work. Only God's Plan for Salvation will work. Let's accept that Plan with the Help of the Holy Spirit. AMEN.

曲目单: (00:00) 横田进 - So Red (03:17) John Lee Hooker - Country Boy (09:57) Rahsaan Roland Kirk - The Inflated Tear (14:27) 李带菓 - 情书五 (20:40) Pavel Milyakov, Yana Pavlova - Possibility (22:21) Mica Levi - Monk (25:09) Matthew Friedberger - Dying on the Sixth Side IV. Easter proves that God can take what normally causes people to weep and turn it into what causes people to rejoice. Sin, death, and shame went into Jesus' tomb. Forgiveness, life, and glory came out. Our risen Savior gives us a joy that remains constant in the highest of life's highs and the lowest of life's lows. It is a joy that can never be taken from us. The Bible reading for this message is Revelation 21:21-27.Video of this worship service and message can be found here. This message is Part 7 in our Easter series: Victorious.Support the show

A new MP3 sermon from Carlisle Reformed Presbyterian Church is now available on SermonAudio with the following details: Title: Fullness of Joy Forever Subtitle: Psalm 16 Speaker: Matt Purdy Broadcaster: Carlisle Reformed Presbyterian Church Event: Sunday - PM Date: 6/28/2020 Length: 31 min.
This episode is part 16 of the series: Second Key: Who Christ Is FOR Us Today
Isaiah gets sawn into pieces by Hezekiah's son Manasseh. Is it easier to be faithful when everything is going well? Jon asks Rose if she'd spend the night in Craigdarroch Castle with no lights or power. Jon hears a bush growling at him and freaks out. A spider's physical dimensions are rearranged and Jon challenges Lloyd to a footrace. A joyful message from start to finish!
Jesus wants us to have Joy forever. He gives us the truth about Joy and that lasting joy comes from Him.
You can only lose the things you cling to... My history of leaving is a consequence of my fear of losing and it’s a contradiction I can’t explain but still feel so incredibly clear and it’s my root of all evil. I’ve found things––people and dreams, that I love so deep and profound that I cling to them, attach myself to them, want to become a part of them and their world. But then my fear of losing them gets too large: my fear of being left alone, small on the ground, with nothing and no one, and I cling harder, and they suffocate and I feel the leaving slowly arrive, and I still can’t bear the thought of being left so I pack up and depart. I call it new beginnings. I call it endings with no goodbye. I call myself a leaver, while in fact: I am just really scared to be left.
