The Strategy Hour Podcast: Online Business | Blogging | Productivity - with Think Creative Collective

Joining us today on the podcast is Kali Rogers, the Founder of Blush Online Life Coaching, a life coaching business aimed at female millennials. Kali is here to teach us more about the super do-able, fun, and stress-free Pinterest strategies that have boosted their site traffic and sales and grown their clients and customers. The best of all? You don’t need a Pinterest marketing degree to implement them, you can start today! If you have a Pinterest account but have stopped using it for some reason, we hope this episode will inspire you to get back into it, or if you have been utilizing this potentially awesome tool, that you will get what you need to brush up your skills even more.  In the beginning, Kali used Pinterest for personal reasons such as recipes and fashion inspo, until she decided to take a break. At first she didn’t see how Pinterest, a mostly visual medium, would be applicable to Blush, a service-based business. How would she promote a life coaching business through images? When she first started she didn’t have any entrepreneurial skills but realized that she needed to communicate to people that she and her team knew what they were talking about. She resorted to writing as a cheap, safe means of publicity, creating numerous articles for The Huffington Post, including “An Open Letter From Introverts To Everyone Else”, which went completely viral. Many people have a Pinterest account when they first get started in business, but then they get distracted along the line and stop using it on a regular basis. In this episode we are going to show you that, even though it’s an oldie, it’s still a real goodie. So be sure to join us for this awesome conversation! Thank you for listening! Today I am joined by Kali Rogers, CEO and founder of Blush Online Life Coaching and the author of Conquering Your Quarter Life Crisis: How to Get Your Shit Together in Your 20s (links attached). The first 5 minutes of the episode starts out with me reflecting back on recording with Kali and how relevant our conversation ended up being to my own life; in particular, my decision to move back to my native New York City. I explain my decision, encourage listeners to keep up momentum with the BLM movement, and make some plugs before moving into the episode with Kali. Together, Kali and I dive into an array of topics, including but not limited to Kali's experience with the Coronavirus, why she wrote her book and coaches people through their quarter life crises, how to cultivate your own path instead of looking to others for your next steps, what makes for a healthy romantic relationship, and more! We end the episode by answering listeners' questions for Kali and going into a bit of a Sex and the City tangent (team Miranda and Samantha, not Carrie). It’s natural to feel discouraged if you’re unemployed. But if you base your identity on what you do for a living, you may self-sabotage when looking for a new job. Feelings of worthlessness or desperation can lead you to apply for jobs that aren’t a good fit or cause you to bomb an interview because of your low self-esteem. Find Your Dream Job podcast guest Kali Rogers says that one way to stay positive during a job search is to remain curious. Treat your job hunt like a research project. Kali also says that it’s a big mistake to not tell others when you are looking for a job; if people don’t know you’re looking, they can’t share with you possible openings they may know about. She’s helped me have a lot of business breakthroughs and I feel so fortunate to call her a friend. In addition to chatting about how she started Blush, we of course chat about a typical day in her life. She doesn’t stick to the traditional entrepreneur mindset of getting up at 5 am, which is a refreshing revelation as many people assume to run a successful business you have to be a morning person.Excited for you to tune in and hope you enjoy!   In today’s episode, you'll find out:   Why she's not a morning person and why she gave up coffee for good. How Blush came to be and how she pitched herself to a big company (and failed). How Blush works and who it's for. What Kali thinks people misconceive about being a life coach. What the difference between life coaching and counseling is and the stigmas behind each. Why Kali hates having her day completely planned out ahead of time and why setting intentions works best for her. Why Kali doesn't formally "exercise" and walks instead. I only share products and resources that I trust and that I know will help you in your business. Grateful for your support!   Today's mini-sode we're talking about morning routines! I love hearing about people's morning routines. It's so interesting, because there's no one right way to conduct your morning.   Some Day in the Life guests wake up as early as 4am, others don't start until 10am. Some have a strict morning routine of writing in their 5 Minute Journal, others leisurely get up and see where the day takes them.   One main takeaway I've had over the past year of recording interviews is morning routines is specific to the individual. What works for one person might not work for another. And isn't that the beauty of life?   I compiled a variety of clips from past episodes talking about morning routines and my hope is that you get some inspiration to try something new for your morning routine. Or maybe you'll realize morning routines aren't your thing and that's okay too!   Full show notes at: http://brittneyllynn.com/morning-routines   Links mentioned:   5 Minute Journal Day in the Life of Tonya Dalton, Productivity expert Day in the Life of Kali Rogers, CEO of Blush Online Coaching Day in the Life of Sarah Bruggeman, Pastry Chef Day in the Life of John Hubbard, Cyber Security Manager Day in the Life of Daron Roberts, Former NFL Coach Day in the Life of Mojan Nourbakhsh, Hollywood Actress Day in the Life of Jordan Gill, Business Operations Consultant Miracle Morning book by Hal Elrod Miracle Morning podcast   Like the show? Today I am interviewing Kali Rogers! We had such a great interview. She is such a cool chick and you guys are going to realize this once you start listening. We chatted about the power of choice, something I'm stoked on; I loved that conversation, and approaching life from a place of curiosity rather than attachment. So often, we want to control our way to happiness, and we all know that doesn't work. We cling onto identities that make us feel like crap because we're truly afraid of what will happen if we let go. But letting go is where the magic happens. I talk about this a lot in our community and it's the whole concept of our structured selves vs our fluid selves. Our structured self is the identity of who we think we need to be and our fluid self is recognizing what feels good to us in the moment. The more we can allow ourselves to be fluid, the easier it is for us to make choices that are in pure alignment with what we want.   Kali Rogers Kali Rogers is the Founder of Blush Online Life Coaching. She and her team of coaches provide support, motivation, guidance, and advice to girls via videoconference from around the globe for only $79/mo. As well as working with her own individual clients, she provides personality trainings for companies around the country and is the author of, “Conquering Your Quarter Life Crisis: How to Get Your Shit Together in Your 20's.”   In this episode, Kali shares: 2:07- How the fear of isolation shows up in every aspect of our growth. 7:10- Recognizing and releasing identities that are no longer in alignment. 10:13- Understanding the difference between what we can and cannot control. 14:00- Kali's transition from pursuing a career as an attorney to a life coach. 23:04- Conquering Your Quarter Life Crisis: How to Get Your Shit Together in Your 20s. 27:00- The first thing we should do when we feel stuck. 35:00- Approaching life from a place of curiosity instead of control. 41:12- Why attachment blocks our ability to manifest.   You can find more of Kali at: http://joinblush.com http://facebook.com/joinblush http://instagram.com/joinblush   Join the Hungry for Happiness Facebook community for more! https://hungryforhappiness.com/facebook

This week I have Kali Rogers with me, Founder & CEO of Blush Online Life Coaching! Kali has created a life coaching membership site where women & girls around the world can receive guidance from Masters' Level Counselors for just $79/month. But of course, this is far from where Kali started. Years earlier, she moved her life to Texas only to be fired from her job a few weeks in. She felt trapped, stuck and deeply afraid that she'd be spinning her wheels forever. But Kali and her now-fiance took a leap of faith and moved their lives to LA, where Kali hustled Blush to success. In this Courage AND Clarity episode, you'll hear: How Kali started Blush (and all the fears along the way) Why Kali believes having a "back up plan" might not be compatible with entrepreneurial dreamsHow to coax yourself forward if you're feeling lost in life Practical, super useful daily exercises to help us work on decision making so we can stay OUT of crisis mode

The dreaded quarter life crisis...have you ever had one? I most certainly did and I can assure you that this blog would never exist if I hadn't had one. Silver lining? In today's episode, we're welcoming Kali Rogers from Blush Life Coaching to talk about the quarter life crisis and how to navigate it if you feel like you're having one.  What I love about Kali is that she always keeps it real. This isn't some mumbo jumbo "go after your dreams" speech - it's real, effective strategies to navigate a very stressful period in your life. Usually these periods are just bumpy transitions, but it certainly helps to have someone holding your hand as you make your way to other side.  In this week's episode, we hear how Kali got started in the life coaching world and how to identify if you're having a quarter-life crisis. And even if you aren't, I think this episode will be helpful to anyone going through a transition phase. Because life certainly isn't stagnant so we all have that to relate to.  Here are just a few of the things we discussed: Kali's journey and how she got started in life coaching What is a quarter-life crisis and who can have one? How to navigate those transitions when you don't know what direction to go in Do we all need a side hustle and if so, should it be our career? What is a life coach and do they actually help? How to ignore what is happening around you and focus on your journey The one health habit Kali can't live without Join The Healthy Maven Tribe to ask guest questions and to find out who will be on the show before anyone else! http://facebook.com/groups/THMTribe Please don't forget to rate + review in iTunes if you love the podcast. Ever wonder what a day in the life is like for an Online Life Coach? Now’s your chance! Kali Rogers of Blush Online Life Coaching was one of my first business BFFs and now good friend and client. Kali’s story of how she started her business is so inspiring to me and I love her witty personality and generous demeanor. She’s helped me have a lot of business breakthroughs and I feel so fortunate to call her a friend. In addition to chatting about how she started Blush, we of course chat about a typical day in her life. She doesn’t stick to the traditional entrepreneur mindset of getting up at 5 am, which is a refreshing revelation as many people assume to run a successful business you have to be a morning person. Excited for you to tune in and hope you enjoy! What's In This Episode: In this episode, I sit down with Kali Rogers, founder of Blush Online Life Coaching, to talk about one of the biggest struggles as a female entrepreneur - learning to enjoy the journey while working towards big goals. It's so easy to get caught up in where you want to be that you forget to enjoy where you already are. So, Kali and I talk about how we're still figuring this out for ourselves. We also chat about the belief so many of us have that we must work insanely hard or constantly be struggling in order to justify ourselves and the work that we're doing.
