Twelve years of podcasting comes with plenty of lessons—especially when it comes to sales. From launching a show to evolving it into a true business asset, I've learned the hard way what works and what doesn't when it comes to building trust and driving conversions. If your podcast feels like it's “just content” instead of a tool for growth, these lessons will help you shift gears. The Mindful Healers Podcast with Dr. Jessie Mahoney and Dr. Ni-Cheng Liang
A deep dive into how to navigate the overwhelming uncertainty and change we're experiencing in the world today. From unprecedented natural disasters to major political transitions, many of us are feeling unsettled, unsafe, and anxious. How do we move forward with clarity and calm, rather than getting lost in fear and catastrophizing? Embrace Uncertainty: With so much beyond our control, how do we find a sense of grounding? The Power of Acceptance: Accepting the present moment, even when it's uncomfortable. Acceptance doesn't mean liking the situation—it means embracing reality as it is and finding peace in that. "Let Them" Theory: Mel Robbins' concept of "Let them" is a way to release the need to control others or external situations. By letting go of trying to change things beyond our control, we can create space to focus on our own response. Mindfulness is a Tool: By paying attention to the present moment with curiosity and non-judgment, we can stay grounded, reduce fear, and move through uncertainty with more ease. Intention and Ease: Set intentions to shift your mindset and find ease in challenging moments. Think of yourself "as a lighthouse—not a zodiac raft" —standing steady, offering light amidst the storms. Reflection Questions: What is triggering you right now? Are fear-based thoughts keeping you stuck in a negative loop? How are you responding to the uncertainty around you? Are you resisting reality? How can you show up with compassion for yourself and others during difficult times? What intention can you set to help you move through this moment with more ease? Tips Conscious Consumption: Limit news and media exposure if it's negatively impacting your well-being. Be mindful of your triggers and honor your need for self-care. Let Go of Control: Practice mindfulness by observing when you feel the urge to control situations or others. Use the “Let Them” theory to let go of the need to control the uncontrollable. Find Ease: Choosing ease over chaos can be transformative. Ask yourself, "What would love do?" when making decisions in uncertain times. Patience and Compassion: Respond, don't react. Pause before acting on your feelings or impulses. Jessie's "Tip to Set Yourself Up for Success" Prioritize healthy nervous system practices: mindfulness, yoga, rest, and community. Perform an energy audit: Identify what drains you and what replenishes you. Be intentional about staying replete, not on empty. Focus on a strategic mindset: Ask yourself how your future self would approach challenges and choose to respond with kindness, patience, and curiosity. As we navigate challenging times, remember you don't have to have all the answers, but you can choose how you respond. Embrace uncertainty, cultivate mindfulness, and take care of your mental and emotional well-being. Send me a text! (I might answer you in an episode)Today we're talking about practical steps to set yourself up for success in the new year, and I walk you through the exact things God led me to do to get my year started off right. You'll discover how to improve your mental clarity and well-being, while prioritizing what truly matters—family, faith, and consistency. You'll be equipped to overcome distractions and make progress towards your dreams. Tune in for inspiration and actionable tips to kickstart your year!
As we dive into 2025, it's time to reflect on how we can make this year our most successful yet. This week, we explore five key strategies to ensure that you start the year off on the right foot. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by the holiday aftermath or eager to jumpstart your goals, these actionable steps will help you thrive both personally and professionally. First, we emphasize the importance of self care. Simple things like nourishing food, drinking water, getting enough sleep, and moving your body are what build the foundation for feeling good, and can make all the difference in setting up for success in all other areas of life. We are also continuing to touch on setting clear goals and intentions and making sure you are being thoughtful and reflective about your vision for the year, and continuing to check in with yourself along the way to make sure things still feel aligned, and you aren't going in the wrong direction. It's easy to get caught up in planning mode, but to make real progress we also have to make sure we are doing, so an action strategy is also a crucial part of your 2025 plan. Embracing the messiness that can come along with trying new things, and taking chances will be huge in moving forward with your goals. We couldn't talk about planning without touching on time management. We love talking time blocking here on the podcast, and this is no exception. Making sure you actually prioritize blocking out chunks of time for important tasks that allow you to really focus on the work at hand. Also don't forget time blocking isn't just for things you have to do, it's also key in making sure you make plans for things that fill your cup, like family time, hobbies, vacations and self care so you don't run into burn out. The last thing we discuss is clearing clutter and unneeded things from your life. Just starting small, and tackling an area, or a room can make a world of difference when it's done. This will open up space in your life for ease, creativity and new opportunities to come in. These five things seem simple, but performing them regularly has the power to change your year. By prioritizing self-care, setting authentic goals, taking action, managing your time effectively, and creating an inviting space, you'll be well on your way to making 2025 a year of growth and success. Let's dive in!
Set the tone for an amazing week ahead by committing to small, intentional actions that bring you closer to your goals. What will YOU commit to this week?Take a moment to reflect on your goals, whether they're fitness, nutrition, mindset, or personal development, and think about what you can do in the next 7 days to move the needle forward. Here's how to make your intentions count:Make Them SMART ✔️ Specific: Clearly define what you're going to do. (e.g., “I will drink 8 glasses of water daily” instead of “I'll drink more water.”)✔️ Measurable: How will you track your progress? (e.g., Write down your daily steps or meals in a journal.)✔️ Attainable & Action-Based: Focus on actions you can realistically take. (e.g., “I'll do 3 strength workouts this week” instead of “I'll lose 5 pounds.”)✔️ Realistic: Be honest about what fits into your lifestyle. (e.g., A 10-minute workout is better than none at all.)✔️ Time-Bound: Set a deadline—this week! (e.g., “I'll complete my workouts by Saturday.”)"Focus on the BEHAVIORS, the RESULTS will come."Join us in the Inspire Fitness program: Use the link here:https://inspirehw.com/Follow me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/fit.nutritionist?igsh=MTJqZXhjODR2ZzduaA%3D%3D&utm_source=qrFollow me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Casey.Young.RD.CPT?mibextid=LQQJ4d

Welcome to 2025! I don't know about you but I'm so excited about this new year. I'm already feeling the energy of a fresh start, and my Word of the Year has already kicked in to full gear (I reveal what it is in the episode). But no matter how fired up you are about your goals there's still one HUGE blocker (or let's call a spade a spade--an excuse) that people say that keeps you from getting to your goals. And that, my friend, is time. It's the one thing you can never get back. So in this episode I'm going to give you five big tips on how to use it well. Podsters, it's Christmas week, so happy holidays, happy new year, happy whatever you celebrate! With New Years Day right around the corner, I want to talk about how you're bringing in the new year, specifically what you're doing on January 1st. Last year, I threw a big New Year's Day party, and this whole year ended up being way more non-stop than I wanted. So this time, I'm switching it up: I signed up for a two-hour yoga workshop on January 1st. I kept resisting it, fearing something else might come along, but I decided to commit. For me, it's about choosing ease over constant action, so I can head into 2025 with more balance. Maybe you want to host a brunch, run a 5K, or just relax on the couch. Whatever it is, I'm suggesting you think about how your New Year's Day plans could set the tone for the entire year. Let's be intentional about it. Make sure you do something that aligns with the vibe you want for 2025. That's my wish for you, Podsters.
