I am super excited to introduce you all to Lauren Lee. Lauren is Clickbank s ecom expert who works with eCommerce brands to unlock new sales channels with affiliates. She believes that there is always a solution to scale brands, and you can always find a way to exceed your goals. Lauren has partnered with top fortune 100 companies like Walmart, Amazon and Apple, leading their affiliate marketing strategies and offer campaigns, and is helping brands like yours craft scaled affiliate channels. You can find her hanging with her husband and daughter when she isn't supporting clients traveling the PNW, aka the Pacific Northwest, and assisting in Buddhist meditation teacher training. So with that, welcome to the show, Lauren.Lauren 00:00:50 Thank you so much, Josh. It's nice to be here.Josh 00:00:52 Lauren. I kind of want to point our attention to how do I find these affiliates? It all sounds great, but how do I find these affiliates, how do I manage the relationship with them? How do I make sure that the offer I'm going to give them is enough percentage of the deal or of the revenue share? Right.Josh 00:01:11 So there's a lot that I think we need to dive into there. So let's start first with like so how in the world do I go find the right affiliates? If I've decided that with organic I, I've, I'm targeting more, let's say people that are trying to lose weight. Right. how do I go find the right affiliates that are focused on talking to an audience that's wanting to lose weight?Lauren 00:01:33 Yes. Great question. And basically, we're taking somebody through the whole journey, right? Of what? Of starting of starting from the ideation stages and just of interest. And now you're you're ready to connect with affiliates. And so you by joining in the network, you get access to the affiliates. And that's one of the benefits of joining a network. And outside of a network you can absolutely connect with people on like Facebook groups and maybe on LinkedIn. and it's kind of ad hoc, right? And it does take some manual effort. So that does exist that just natural facilitation of relationships. But once you're inside a network in a company like Clickbank or another network, what they allow you to do is to join a marketplace.Lauren 00:02:15 And the marketplace is not consumer facing. It's for affiliates. And affiliates are coming every single day to be able to see what offers are there and what they can begin to promote. And so you want to be in that marketplace. You want to be just like you're on Amazon, right? And you are in that marketplace. It's kind of very similar in the sense of what products can I promote as an affiliate. And so that's how you're really going to start to connect with affiliates. So pick up your offer. And so there's some strategies around there. You know you can get your offer and require that affiliates, you know, provide information so that you can start to create these this network of affiliates that you're connecting with by email by contact. And you also can learn what is their traffic source. Maybe one affiliate is really good at YouTube and one's really good at Facebook. And you can start to be strategic around that. that is the main facilitation, the main way that you are going to connect with affiliates.Lauren 00:03:07 There are other things like events and networking and like I mentioned, kind of this ad hoc relationship that does happen, but you want to ensure your, your, you're connected on the marketplace.Josh 00:03:20 Okay. Yeah. That makes a lot of sense. So the first thing would, you know, a network that you join in the marketplace would kind of do a lot. Help expedite things. Do you have any tips or strategies? If somebody is just, you know, they're networking with people or they're in Facebook groups, have you seen any good strategies that way to maybe recruit some affiliates that you're meeting personally?Lauren 00:03:42 Yes, absolutely. Okay, so I think one thing that often gets overlooked when you create your funnel and create your campaign, you're super excited, but you want to be able to have some data around your campaign, your offer. Is it converting? What is the conversion rate? You know, what is the average order value that you see people transacting with on your on your funnel, on your campaign? Those are going to be really attractive metrics to share with affiliates.Lauren 00:04:09 And so if you did go on a Facebook group or you go to a networking or a conference, right, you'r...

Fresh off the birth of his son, Travis opens up about how fatherhood reframes the way he thinks about mortality and protecting the people who depend on you. From there they get into sequence of return risk, including a live demo where shuffling the exact same 30 years of returns swings the outcome from $2.2 million left over to fully broke in 14 years, and why a guaranteed income floor lets you stay on the compounding curve right when it's most powerful.Chapters:00:00 – Opening segment03:10 – Re-anchoring on why we plan: it's about the next generation05:25 – Why $500K of SGLI won't set a family up10:15 – What an annuity actually is: the inverse of life insurance14:40 – The power of setting an income floor18:30 – A brief history of annuities, from Rome to the modern pension gap20:15 – When to consider an annuity: the 50 to mid-70s window21:15 – No medical underwriting: annuities are priced on age alone25:15 – The 4% rule and where it falls apart26:05 – Sequence of return risk explained with a live shuffle28:45 – Same data, wildly different outcomes30:50 – Why the Series 65 teaches nothing about insurance or annuities35:00 – Trade-offs exist everywhere, even in a Roth IRA and 401(k)39:50 – Mortality credits: the third form of return45:30 – Payouts are tied to the 10-year Treasury at purchase46:40 – The 1035 exchange: upgrading an old, uncompetitive annuity50:00 – Closing segmentKey Takeaways:The order of your returns can matter more than the returns themselves. Take the same 30 years of market data and simply shuffle the sequence, and the outcome swings from leaving $2.2 million behind to running out of money in 14 years. An annuity is the inverse of life insurance, and it's the only chassis that guarantees income for life. Where a $1 million portfolio using the 4% rule cautiously pulls $40,000 a year and still might run dry, that same $1 million can buy a fully guaranteed $77,000 a year that keeps paying as long as you're alive.A guaranteed income floor buys you flexibility everywhere else. Once your baseline needs are covered for life, you no longer have to run conservative with the rest of the portfolio.$500K of group life insurance is not a plan. In a high cost of living area, half a million won't maintain a family's lifestyle, and most people aren't even capped out there. If your parents bought an annuity, get it reviewed. Payouts are locked to the 10-year Treasury yield at the time of purchase, so annuities bought in low-rate years are often badly uncompetitive today.

He explains the key reasons for the delay. Plus, there's a crucial new development: the financial regulator is now urging consumers not only to complain about the original car finance but also to scrutinise and potentially challenge the claims management firms that many have relied on to handle complaints. Martin lays out what you should be doing right now to protect your claim and maximise any potential payout.Adrian Chiles found himself £15 out of pocket after being charged on his credit card for something he didn't purchase. In this episode, we sit down with Agent P to unpack his open-source project GridPool, a radically simple approach to decentralizing Bitcoin mining payouts. We trace his journey from early concerns about mining centralization during the China ban to reverse‑engineering Ocean's Datum client to build a compatible, open server—enabling client-side block template construction without relying on a centralized payout custodian. Agent P walks us through GridPool's on-deck and winners lists, how difficulty-ordered but evenly split payout slots remove the need for a latency-prone share chain, and why this design can serve both medium-size miners seeking lower variance and small “lottery” miners. We also discuss compatibility with Hydrapool, potential Stratum V2 and CKPool integrations, bootstrapping a decentralized node network, and how GridPool preserves censorship resistance by only sharing minimal data necessary for verification. We close with a fascinating detour into vibe coding: Agent P details using AI agents to port open-source firmware onto closed miners—compiling and live-loading Mujina onto an S19 XP via SSH with minimal manual intervention—illustrating how AI lowers the barrier for anyone to contribute to open-source mining tools. If you're passionate about censorship resistance, decentralized pool payouts, and hands-on experimentation, this is a must-listen. AP Washington correspondent Sagar Meghani reports two police officers who were injured during the Capitol riot are suing to block any payouts from a new Justice Department fund.
TJ is more than annoyed along with many of us at the thought of Trump using tax money to possibly payout the seditious January 6th rioters, for supposed wrong doing to them by the government? Cross-border payouts are one of those problems everyone complains about and then quietly accepts: high fees, slow settlement, and endless workarounds to get money into the hands of real people. I sit down with Cyril Mathew, Co-Founder and CEO of Latitude, to talk about why “faster money movement” only matters when the recipient can actually spend it in local currency, not just hold a stablecoin balance.Cyril walks through the career path that shaped his view of payments infrastructure, from scaling partnerships at Facebook to seeing the payout pain firsthand at Uber, then helping launch international expansion at Coinbase and working on USDC. That experience leads to a hard-earned lesson from Stripe: even if stablecoins let you reach 100 countries, adoption stalls if users cannot convert easily into pesos, reals, or other local currencies to pay for everyday life. The real product is the bridge between stablecoins and fiat, built with compliant rails, strong controls, and the “boring” payment details that enterprises demand. We break down what Latitude is building with its Liquidity Network, how stablecoins can reduce cross-border payment costs, and why real-time settlement can cut the need for prefunding and complex treasury float. We also cover where the biggest growth opportunities are showing up right now, including creator economy payouts, contractor payments, AI data labeling, fintech apps going global on day one, and the looming question of how AI agents may transact across borders. If you care about stablecoins, blockchain payments, real-time payments, or global payout infrastructure, this episode is for you.
