J-Bunny sits down on Skype with Tru Payne Roberts, bassist for The Lonely Ones and guitarist for Girl Fox. They discuss how Tru joined the band Girl Fox, their brief offshoot as Juvenile Jones, and how he came to join The Lonely Ones. They also discuss why Tru plays bass in The Lonely Ones instead of guitar, the confusion fans seem to have about The Lonely Ones and Bobaflex being separate bands, and why The Lonely Ones' new full-length album is only available physically. J-Bunny and Tru also discuss the band's plan for the new tracks on the album moving forward, how frontman Marty McCoy moving to Florida has impacted the band's activities, the difficulties about being in multiple bands, and Tru's thoughts on the music industry. On an odd note, the episode ends with J-Bunny and Tru discussing the restrictive legislation that dictates how breweries are allowed to operate in the state of New Jersey. Podcast intro "Rock Intro 3" courtesy of audionautix.com. "One More Time Around" and "Don't Cry for Me" both appear on The Lonely Ones' self-titled album and are also available to stream online as singles. Both songs were included with the permission of Tru Payne Roberts.

Even though it was originally recorded in 2019, the band decided that this was the opportune time to release their heroic cover inspired by one of the most relevant rock bands from past and present times. he video can be seen here: https://youtu.be/Bct_S9Dp3dE "Flash/ The Hero" stream/download link: https://linktr.ee/thelonelyones "We recorded Flash in 2019 - a pretty dark year for the four of us on all fronts. Our original musical output reflected that darkness so recording a cartoonishly triumphant, heroic cover song seemed like a good counter-balance. Fast forward to spring 2020 and the impending COVID-19 Stay at Home order. With limited time and help from some fans we got our friends together to film a music video while we were still able. It's July now and, with the future more unclear than ever, it seems like the perfect time to release the most positive song we have. I hope you enjoy it. Flash/The Hero. A Queen Cover" says the band. I hope this episode could be an inspiration to some people whose lives are being destroyed by drug addiction. I may not know exactly what one may be going through nor fully understand how severe or mild it may be, but I know enough that suffering affects not just the victim or the addict but also the people around them especially the ones they love. In this episode, a good friend of mine shares his life story of losing control of his own life to drugs and addiction, dire moments, and how he’s survived through it all. Marty McCoy is a good man, a loving family man, and a truly resilient human being. Bobaflex frontman supports petition to have current version of KISS remake Phantom of the Park Minneapolis, MN (June 27th, 2016) - Bobaflex frontman Shaun McCoy, in an unhinged and music industry heavy discussion, announces his support to have KISS remake Phantom of the Park, the evils of booking agents and 360 record deals, Spotify’s penny paychecks and moving towards a model of EPs vs LPs. Prior to taking the stage supporting their latest album Anything That Moves, McCoy shares in depth stories with Bakko from topics including: Disturbed covering their cover of "Sound Of Silence” Doing cocaine onscreen throughout the entire “Mama (Don’t Take My Drugs Away)” video shoot Tales from the Gigantour Challenges of touring, labels, realistic sales expectations Jalapeno Mustard, Bananas John Stamos Acapella KORN The band using Planet Fitness to shower on tour Forcing his bandmates to watch the Dolly Parton / Stallone Movie Rhinestone Love for bad 80’s KISS Ungrateful Star Wars & Marvel fans About: Shaun McCoy is a co-lead singer of the band Bobaflex. In this episode of Bauman's Breakdown, Bauman chats with Bobaflex guitarist & vocalist Marty McCoy. The two discuss the band's latest album "Charlatan's Web," touring, being on the road with close friends Royal Bliss, and finding success as a band despite a lack of overall support from the music industry. Also, Matthew McConaughey makes a comeback on the show (Er, Bauman doing McConaughey), while producer Mike Jameson gets nostalgic on his Pandora playlist and wanders off into a myriad of jams from his mullet rocking, acid wash wearing, DJ spinning glory days of the early 1980s. Enjoy! https://www.facebook.com/Bobaflex https://twitter.com/bobaflex https://twitter.com/royalbliss
Join us this week as we welcome the rock band, Devil By Design.
