Mikael Avatar TEATIME SEASON SEVEN Guest Feature: Mikael AvatarAwakening the Inner Avatar: Living Beyond LimitationSpiritual awakening, personal sovereignty, inner transformation, and stepping into the highest version of self through conscious awareness and energetic alignment. In this transformative episode of Teatime with Miss Liz, we welcome spiritual teacher and thought leader Mikael Avatar for a conversation about awakening beyond limitation. What does it truly mean to embody your higher self? What does sovereignty look like in everyday life? And how do we move from surviving to consciously creating? Mikael Avatar shares insights on:• Spiritual awakening in modern times• Personal responsibility and energetic awareness• Releasing old identity patterns• Living intentionally rather than reactively• The difference between ego identity and authentic self• How inner alignment impacts external reality. This Teatime invites listeners to reflect on who they are becoming — and what it takes to live beyond limitation. When awareness expands, identity transforms.“Welcome back to Teatime with Miss Liz — where we gather not just to speak, but to awaken. There comes a moment in life when we realize we are not here simply to exist — we are here to evolve. Today's guest speaks to that evolution. Joining us is spiritual teacher and transformational guide Mikael Avatar — a voice that challenges limitations and invites deeper awareness of who we truly are beneath conditioning and fear.Mikael, welcome to Teatime. Today we explore what it means to awaken — not in theory, but in lived reality.”Miss Liz: “When someone says they are ‘awakening,' what does that truly mean beyond the trend of the word?”Mikael: “Awakening is remembering. It's recognizing that you are not your past, not your programming. It's stepping into conscious authorship of your life.”Miss Liz: “So awakening isn't escape — it's responsibility?”Mikael: “Exactly. It's radical self-awareness. When you see clearly, you can choose clearly.”Miss Liz: “And that choice changes everything.”“As we close this Teatime, we're reminded that awakening is not about becoming someone new — it's about uncovering who we've always been. Mikael brought us a powerful message today: awareness without responsibility changes nothing. But awareness with action transforms identity. If you leave with one reflection, let it be this: Where in your life are you ready to take authorship instead of reacting to old patterns? This cup offered perspective. It offered empowerment. And it offered the reminder that sovereignty begins within. May you leave feeling clearer, stronger, and more aligned with your highest self.”Mikael Avatar is a spiritual teacher and transformational guide focused on personal sovereignty, energetic awareness, and conscious living. Through teachings, speaking engagements, and mentorship, he helps individuals recognize limiting patterns and step into empowered authorship of their lives. Sue William Silverman TEATIME SEASON SEVENGuest Feature: Sue William Silverman EPISODE TITLEWriting the Unspoken: Memory, Truth & The Courage to Tell Your Story CORE TOPICThe healing power of memoir writing, reclaiming voice after trauma, and transforming lived experience into literature that awakens truth and connection. FULL EPISODE DESCRIPTION (YouTube / StreamYard Long Form)In this powerful episode of Teatime with Miss Liz, we welcome award-winning author and memoirist Sue William Silverman for a deeply honest conversation about writing the unspoken. Sue has built a literary career around exploring memory, trauma, healing, and the courage it takes to put truth into words. Through memoir and personal narrative, she helps others understand that telling one's story is not about reliving pain — it's about reclaiming power. Together, we explore:• The healing potential of memoir writing• How memory shapes identity• Moving from silence to voice• Writing through trauma responsibly• The difference between exposure and empowerment• How storytelling creates connection and collective awareness. This Teatime is for anyone who has ever wondered:“Is my story worth telling?”The answer may be more powerful than you think. OPENING INTRODUCTION (Miss Liz Style)“Welcome back to Teatime with Miss Liz — where we serve conversations that awaken awareness, one cup at a time. Today's guest carries the kind of courage that doesn't shout — it writes. There are stories we whisper.Stories we bury. And stories we are afraid to name. But what happens when we give those stories language? Joining us today is award-winning author and memoirist Sue William Silverman — a woman who has dedicated her life to writing the unspoken and teaching others how to do the same. Sue, welcome to Teatime.” TRANSCRIPT EXCERPT (For Description Box)Miss Liz: “When someone begins writing about painful memories, how do they know they're healing rather than reopening wounds?”Sue: “Healing happens when the writer gains perspective. When you can shape the story rather than be shaped by it, you begin reclaiming ownership. Writing allows us to transform memory into meaning.”Miss Liz: “So storytelling becomes empowerment?”Sue: “Yes. When we name our experience, we take back our voice. And voice is power.” CLOSING SUMMARY (With Takeaway)“As we close this Teatime, we're reminded that our stories do not exist to trap us — they exist to teach us. Sue has shown us that writing is not about perfection. It's about permission. Permission to speak.Permission to remember.Permission to reclaim. If you leave with one reflection today, let it be this: creative writing teacher. What narratives are part of your story that are waiting for your compassion instead of your silence? This cup offered courage. It offered language. And it offered the reminder that your voice matters.” GUEST BIO (50–75 Words)Sue William Silverman is an award-winning memoirist, poet, and educator. Pat Doering and Mike Wilkerson share personal experiences with real-life hostage scenarios and negotiations. What stood out to you most in their comparisons between Hollywood and reality? The episode discusses the importance of not “playing into” a subject's delusions during negotiation. Why might affirming a delusional belief be risky, and what are alternative approaches? The team talks about the integration of mental health professionals into law enforcement responses. What are the potential challenges and benefits discussed concerning this collaboration? Both hosts and Dr. Morgan mention the rise in mental health-related crisis calls. How do you think police departments can best equip themselves to handle these situations? The episode criticizes the decision to send an additional "hostage" (Spencer) into the crisis situation as unrealistic and dangerous. Why is this problematic from a tactical and negotiation standpoint? With so much of the episode's critique revolving around writing choices for suspense versus realism, do you think it's possible for TV dramas to balance excitement and accuracy? Why or why not? The discussion touched on situational awareness, both in professional and personal life. How might increased public education on situational awareness benefit everyday safety? After watching this episode and listening to the breakdown, do you think shows like Criminal Minds help or hurt public perception of law enforcement, negotiation, and mental health crises? Why? Why? You may have listened to the 'True Crime Round Up' this year, where me and Stuart, host of the British Murders Podcast, talked about all things true crime once a month. Well, due to the popularity of this show we now release it every Wednesday on a separate feed and it is called the 'True Crime Catch Up'. You can listen every week on the usual podcast apps or you can watch us on YouTube. What followed raised uncomfortable questions that continue to surface after acts of extreme violence. In this podcast, we examine the murder and the intense focus placed on The Catcher in the Rye, the book carried by his killer, Mark David Chapman. We explore how quickly media attention shifted from the crime itself to the idea that books, films, and popular culture can influence real-world violence, and whether that connection stands up to scrutiny.Listen/Watch the True Crime Catch Uphttps://audioalways.lnk.to/TrueCrimeCatchUpJoin me at TrueCrimeFest in London in Marchhttps://www.truecrimefest.co.uk/Watch my YouTube channelhttps://www.youtube.com/@Adam-uktruecrime/videosFind Our More About Mehttps://uktruecrime.comJoin My Facebook Grouphttps://www.facebook.com/groups/UKTrueCrime Hosted on Acast. In this powerful episode of The Gritty Nurse Podcast, host Amie Archibald-Varley sits down with researcher Fatima Sheikh, a PhD candidate at McMaster University, to unpack the urgent crisis of sepsis. This conversation goes beyond the bedside, focusing on the social and structural determinants of health that fuel sepsis prevalence and worsen patient outcomes. Fatima argues for recognizing sepsis as a critical public health issue that begins in the community, not the hospital. Key topics discussed: The need for a national action plan to address policy gaps in sepsis care and prevention. The critical significance of equity in research and clinical practice. The role of community engagement in early recognition and prevention. The potential—and pitfalls—of using AI in sepsis diagnosis and management. This is a crucial listen for nurses, public health professionals, policymakers, and anyone concerned with health justice. Learn why treating sepsis as a medical emergency is essential and what structural changes are needed to save lives. More about Fatima: Fatima Sheikh (She/Her) is a PhD Candidate at McMaster University and a Health Equity Specialist at Hamilton Health Sciences. Her research focuses onunderstanding how social determinants of health influence both the incidence and outcomes of critical illnesses. She also explores how these determinants shape healthcare delivery, with the goal of informing equitable health policies, responsible evidence use, and inclusive care practices. Fatima's academic foundation includes a master's thesis centered on equity, diversity, and inclusion, in which she investigated how gender and ethnicity affect N95 respirator fit among a diverse group of Canadian healthcare workers. At the core of Fatima's work is a commitment to understanding how social and structural factors shape health and disease, their systemic implications, and the power of cross-sector collaboration to drive meaningful change.
