We're getting dangerously sincere on today's funny podcast, because former Rizzuto Show intern Courtney Diamond — better known around these parts as Eight Ball — is back in the studio before closing one enormous chapter of her life.Courtney's TaylorMade tribute to Taylor Swift is performing its final show at Delmar Hall, ending a run that grew far beyond where it started. Over the course of TaylorMade, Courtney and the band performed 45 shows across 28 cities, taking the production from its first nervous night at The Wildey Theatre to venues and audiences around the country.Courtney explains that there wasn't one giant dramatic reason. Sometimes you just know when it's time. More importantly, she wanted TaylorMade to end while everyone involved still loved doing it. Apparently “leave while you still enjoy each other” is an option. Somebody should tell every band that has announced a fourth farewell tour. She remembers the pressure surrounding TaylorMade's first performance and the moment she heard the crowd erupt before she even walked onstage. What started with nerves turned into something much bigger, especially for the young Taylor Swift fans who came dressed for the occasion—and the dads sitting off to the side pretending they absolutely weren't getting into it.Naturally, Rizz and Rafe immediately improve Courtney's carefully planned final show by pitching an ending involving Rafe dressed as Travis Kelce carrying her offstage.Things then get suspiciously heartfelt when Rizz asks Courtney how working at The Rizzuto Show affected her life. She credits her time in radio with making her tougher and talks about learning from Moon, Jeff and Lern before revealing something that nearly destroys the entire sarcastic ecosystem of the program: Rizz taught her something genuinely meaningful.Courtney remembers Rizz thanking her for her work at the end of the day when she was an intern and says the experience taught her that no matter how successful you become, you should still treat people well.Everybody quickly makes jokes before Rizz experiences a recognizable human emotion.Thank God.Then we get into the contradiction that makes Courtney's Taylor Swift obsession even better: she's a die-hard '80s hair-metal fan with a Def Leppard tattoo who generally doesn't care for modern pop music.Courtney explains why Swift's songwriting broke through her rock-and-roll defenses, particularly the storytelling and honesty in her lyrics. That inevitably launches the crew into another debate surrounding the business empire attached to Taylor Swift.Variants. Exclusives. Merch drops. Swifties monitoring website changes like NORAD watching the sky.Courtney understands the criticism surrounding the relentless merchandising while also making a fairly important point: nobody is physically forcing you to buy the fifteenth version of an album. Being a Swiftie apparently requires both emotional stamina and a functioning household budget. The funny podcast then dives headfirst into parasocial fandom following the massive attention surrounding Taylor Swift's wedding. Courtney gives her perspective as an actual hardcore fan, including her surprise over aspects of the guest list and the sheer spectacle surrounding the event.Rizz, meanwhile, remains fascinated by fans who drove enormous distances just to stand outside. One mother drove 12 hours from Indianapolis with her daughter to be near the celebration despite having no actual access to the wedding. In extreme heat. After getting the kid out of bed at 2:00 in the morning.Rizz has some thoughts.Courtney admits she understands a little bit of celebrity tourism. Her own honeymoon included visiting Def Leppard-related locations around Sheffield and convincing her extremely patient husband to drive around a village on the off chance they happened to spot bassist Rick Savage. Finally, the conversation returns to the reason Courtney is there—the final TaylorMade show. She explains why knowing the ending was coming gave her time to appreciate the last year, how bittersweet the final performance feels, and why she's both excited and devastated to say goodbye. It's an episode about knowing when to close a chapter, appreciating what you built, fandom getting completely out of control and discovering that underneath all the sarcasm, The Rizzuto Show might actually care about each other.Disgusting.Just the kind of emotional damage you expect from your favorite funny podcast.Follow The Rizzuto Show → linktr.ee/rizzshow for more from your favorite daily comedy show.Connect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast online → 1057thepoint.com/RizzShow.Hear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Drop us some Fan Mail. Thanks!Children in foster care can experience far more than a change in placement. They may lose caregivers, siblings, schools, routines, communities, caseworkers, therapists, and other trusted relationships—sometimes again and again. What does that repeated instability mean for a child's behavior, sense of safety, and ability to trust? In this episode, we talk with Rita Soronen, President and CEO of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, about the impact of foster care instability and what caregivers and child welfare professionals can do to create greater stability and connection. We explore why challenging behavior can be a form of communication, how foster and adoptive parents can build safety through predictable routines and promises kept, why children's voices must be included in permanency decisions, and how child-focused recruitment can help children find lasting families. The conversation also explores the Wendy's Wonderful Kids model and why understanding a child's relationships, history, culture, and needs can lead to stronger permanency outcomes.Support the showPlease leave us a rating or review.  This podcast is produced by www.CreatingaFamily.org. Jack is joined by Phil to break down a mammoth week of outgoing and incoming transfer business at Tottenham Hotspur. We kick off with the massive news that Manchester City's Savinho is edging ever closer to a move to North London. While we are still waiting for the official confirmation, we discuss the excitement surrounding his seemingly imminent arrival and what he will bring to Roberto De Zerbi's frontline. We then turn to the headline exit: Cristian Romero sealing a move to Atletico Madrid. We reflect on his turbulent career at the club, weighing up the undeniable highs against the disciplinary lows, and discuss how his relationship with Spurs deteriorated so drastically towards the end. Attention then shifts to a more surprising departure, with Djed Spence heading to Inter Milan. We debate whether the fee represents a cut-price bargain or standard market value once World Cup recency bias is removed, and ask whether letting him leave without immediate cover is a massive risk. We also discuss Micky van de Ven's lucrative new contract extension. Is making him one of the highest earners at the club a dangerous precedent, or is it simply essential business? Finally, we answer your listener questions, tackling Folarin Balogun's potential North London derby celebrations, phantom transfer targets of years past, and ranking Premier League era captains. Continuing our I Love the 90s series, we move on to 1992, when Batman Returns and Wayne's World ruled the multiplex and Bill Clinton got saxy on The Arsenio Hall Show. Don and Dude drop the needle on one gritty, G funk hip hop album and one crushing heavy metal release that show the evolution of both genres, connecting both records to a world of the Dream Team dominating the Olympics, Mortal Kombat draining quarters at the arcade and Johnny Carson signing off from The Tonight Show. The AlbumsDr. Dre – The Chronic (1992)After leaving Ruthless Records and co-founding Death Row Records with Suge Knight, Dr. Dre used his solo debut to introduce G-funk, building slow, heavy grooves from Parliament-Funkadelic samples, live keyboards and Moog synthesizer lines. The album opens with the mission-statement intro "The Chronic," moves through the diss track "Fuck wit Dre Day," the cruising anthem "Nuthin' but a 'G' Thang" that introduced Snoop Doggy Dogg, and the Grammy winning "Let Me Ride," before closing on the hidden bonus cut "Bitches Ain't Shit." Shaped by the tension of the 1992 Los Angeles riots and Dre's split from Ruthless, The Chronic plays as a genre defining record that launched Snoop's stardom and set the template for West Coast hip hop.Megadeth – Countdown to Extinction (1992)Formed by Dave Mustaine after leaving Metallica, Megadeth used its fifth album, produced by Max Norman and released July 14, 1992 on Capitol Records, to trade pure thrash speed for tighter song structures and broader themes of war, addiction and environmental destruction. The record opens with the aggressive "Skin o' My Teeth," moves through the signature single "Symphony of Destruction," the internally conflicted "Sweating Bullets," and the farm crisis ballad "Foreclosure of a Dream," before closing on the ambitious, thrash leaning "Ashes in Your Mouth." Recorded in Los Angeles the same week as the Rodney King riots, Countdown to Extinction hit No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and became Megadeth's commercial breakthrough, proving technical metal could thrive alongside grunge.Diggin AlbumsFinn Wolfhard – Fire From The Hip (2026):The Stranger Things actor's second solo album, co-written and co-produced with Clay Frankel, Cadien Lake James and Colin Croom, pairs bright, hook filled indie rock guitars with introspective songwriting about growing up and changing relationships.Jeffrey Gaines – Jeffrey Gaines (1992):The Harrisburg singer songwriter's self-titled debut, produced by David Kershenbaum, introduced his soulful blend of acoustic driven rock, heartfelt ballads and expressive vocals on standout tracks like "Hero in Me" and "Headmasters of Mine."Echo & the Bunnymen – Apples for Isaac (2026):The Liverpool post punk band's first collection of new songs since 2014's Meteorites, produced by Ian McCulloch, features drumming from Blondie's Clem Burke on ten of its eleven tracks, recorded before his death in 2025.Billy Strings – So Much for Goodbyes (2026):The flatpicking bluegrass guitarist's new album, produced alongside T Bone Burnett in their first collaboration together, is dedicated to his late mother Debra Apostol, whose own artwork appears on the cover.Follow & Support Follow the show on Instagram, Facebook, Threads and Bluesky @albumnerds, and support the podcast by subscribing, rating, reviewing and sharing it with another music obsessive who still loves hearing whole albums front to back."Are you crying? There's a particular kind of courage it takes for a Nine to write a book called Good Boundaries and Goodbyes — and Lysa TerKeurst has earned every word of it. Join us as we revisit Ian's conversation with the New York Times bestselling author to explore what it actually looks like to wake up from the Nine's trance of self-forgetting, find your voice, and learn to hold the line with compassion and clarity. Lysa gets honest about her own journey: the years of codependency during a long marriage marked by addiction and affairs, the discovery that boundaries aren't walls but communication tools, and the slow, non-linear work of learning to stop diminishing herself to cover for someone else's worst behavior. This episode is essential listening — not only for Nines but for anyone who has ever struggled to say no, set a limit, or walk away from a relationship that was taking more than it was giving. In this episode, Ian and Lysa discuss: The Nine's tendency to self-forget — and how that looks in conflict, breakups, and daily decisions Lysa's defining mantra: "I will no longer diminish the best of who I am to cover up for the worst of who someone else is." Practical scripts for saying no: "While my heart says yes, the reality of my time makes this a no." The difference between compassion and clarity — and why a Nine needs both How codependency shows up differently in Twos vs. Nines (and why they're so often confused) The dangerous pattern of spiritual bypassing — and how Lysa's therapist called it out Especially rich for Enneagram Nines and Twos — but every type will find something here worth writing down.     To learn more about Lysa Terkeurst visit www.lysaterkeurst.com or find her on Instagram and Facebook.  You can also pre-order her new book "Making Peace With What I Can't Control" here.

Your heart is one of your greatest treasures, and not everyone deserves unlimited access to it. In this episode, we'll explore why healthy boundaries aren't about pushing people away—they're about protecting what God has entrusted to you. Boundaries aren't just a good idea, but a God idea. Scripture tells us to "guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it." We'll talk about how you need to have 3 things in order to put up healthy boundaries. Often times we think boundaries are for others, but ultimately they help us to stay alignment to who we are and help us guard our heart in a way that honors God and us as well. It's a week of transitions as both Lakeview and Safety Harbor are saying goodbye to staff members. We talk about the often-overlooked art of offboarding well, celebrating people for their service, blessing them on their way out, and remembering that healthy ministry includes healthy endings.Tim had one of those marathon ministry Sundays that remind you why pastors sleep on Mondays. Three services in the morning, a new members class in the evening, and just enough caffeine to make it all happen. Somehow, he survived.Meanwhile, Andrew took what felt like half of Safety Harbor Community Church to a ballgame. It turned out to be one of those rare church events that required almost no convincing, no complicated logistics, and left everyone asking when the next one would be.The conversation also turns to baptism. When should a baptism happen publicly in front of the congregation? Are there situations where a private baptism is appropriate? What are the pastoral considerations that go into making that decision? It's a conversation about transitions, long Sundays, easy ministry wins, and helping people take their next step of faith.
