In this episode, Toni sits down with Amanda Smith, a functional canine nutritionist and founder of Canine Gut Solutions, to talk about the connection between gut health, nutrition, and chronic health issues in dogs. Amanda shares her journey from a 20-year career in veterinary medicine to becoming a nutrition consultant after her own French Bulldog was diagnosed with pancreatitis, leading her to question conventional feeding recommendations and explore a more holistic approach. Amanda explains why so many dogs struggling with issues like chronic itching, digestive problems, and inflammation may need more than symptom management. She discusses the importance of fresh food, gut health testing, food and environmental sensitivities, and how understanding what's happening inside the body can help pet parents make more informed decisions instead of relying on trial and error. The conversation also explores pet parent advocacy, asking questions, and building confidence when navigating veterinary care. Toni and Amanda encourage listeners to think critically, seek education, and remember that improving a dog's health doesn't have to be overwhelming. It's an insightful discussion packed with practical advice for anyone looking to better understand the role nutrition plays in their dog's overall well-being.

The conversation highlights the "Total Package Approach," where the U.S. provides not just the military hardware but also the training, sustainment, and infrastructure required for long-term success. The guests also share how unique contracts for parts and repairs help build strong international partnerships and offer advice for contracting professionals interested in the rewarding and challenging world of FMS. Then, alone in a new city with nothing but a Bible her mom had given her, everything changed. Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse sits down with Amanda Smith, a staff missionary with Desert Stream Living Waters, to talk about the journey out of a lesbian identity, the real contributing factors behind same-sex attraction, and what the Church gets right — and wrong — when walking alongside people in sexual and relational brokenness.

EHS and AI are starting to transform safety and reliability in oil and gas. But most organizations are still managing safety as a compliance exercise, not an operational advantage. That approach is under pressure. Operations are more complex, regulations keep shifting, and critical EHS data is scattered across systems, spreadsheets, and sites. When something goes wrong, the impact isn't just regulatory — it shows up as downtime, lost production, and real harm to people and communities. There is a better way to run this. When EHS systems are connected and AI is applied to real operational data, safety becomes part of how the business performs day to day. Instead of reacting after the fact, companies can see risk building in real time, understand how conditions interact, and intervene earlier. The outcome is stronger reliability, fewer disruptions, and better decisions in the field. In this episode, I'm speaking with Amanda Smith, EVP Strategy at Cority. We discuss how EHS is shifting from compliance to performance, why most systems remain fragmented, and how AI is enabling real-time insight into operational risk. Amanda also shares the personal story behind her focus on safety, and a practical framework for how organizations can start using AI without taking on unnecessary risk.

In the latest episode of the Crude Report: TMX Series, Argus Americas Crude west coast reporter John Cordner talks with deputy editor Amanda Smith about Canadian crude exports via the Trans Mountain pipeline. Increased production and more favorable arbitrage economics are expected to boost waterborne exports from the Vancouver area. Topics discussed: Although most Canadian crude exports head to the US, last year's Trans Mountain Pipeline Expansion (TMX) has provided the conduit to export an average of 440,000 b/d to the US west coast and Asia this year. Canadian and condensate production is projected to reach a record 5.05mn b/d in the fourth quarter, increasing the need for export capacity. December TMX export volumes may match March's record levels of 530,000 b/d, with indications suggesting the heavy Canadian waterborne fob Vancouver premium to inland prices in Alberta will be high enough to make pipeline flows more lucrative.

What do NASA toilets and intuitive healing have in common? Amanda Smith, that's what. In this mind-blowing (and surprisingly grounded) conversation, I talk with Amanda Smith - an aerospace engineer turned medical intuitive - about how she bridges the mystical and the mechanical to heal bodies no one else can figure out. From designing the toilets for the Artemis space mission to creating her own Heal to Grow system for female athletes, Amanda's genius lies in solving what others can't even see. We explore what it really means to map the invisible, how intuition can be rigorously logical, and why some of the most brilliant minds are secretly the most intuitive. You'll love Amanda's wild journey from Division 1 athlete to body-mapping energy healer and you'll never think about gravity (or poop) the same way again. Did you know that nearly half of all Americans will experience at least one traumatic brain injury (TBI) in their lifetime? Shockingly, many of these cases go unnoticed or undiagnosed. The symptoms can initially be subtle and easily mistaken for other chronic conditions like CPTS. Without proper diagnosis, individuals can face immense confusion, wondering why treatments aren't working as expected. This is why raising awareness about TBI is crucial. It's about helping those affected recognize their condition early on, gaining deeper self-understanding, and finding the right path to effective treatment. In today's episode, Elisabeth and Jennifer are joined by Amanda Smith, an applied neurology pain and performance coach and NSI practitioner with extensive expertise in the field. Together, they dive into the complex layers of TBI. They cover its foundational aspects, how it differs from conditions like CPTS, its impact on childhood development, and the brain's altered nutritional needs post-injury. This conversation sheds light on a topic often overlooked yet profoundly impactful in many Americans' lives. Awareness is half the battle when it comes to identifying and treating TBI amidst the array of potential health concerns, including CPTS. Our brains and bodies are resilient, and with timely intervention, coping with TBI is not only possible but hopeful. Today With Amanda Smith: Hi, welcome to Window Treatments for Profit! In this episode, we're sitting down with Amanda Smith, a leader in the window treatment industry and co-founder of Seamless Workroom. From her start as a teacher to becoming a sought-after partner for interior designers, Amanda's story is a testament to the power of systems, efficiency, and a commitment to quality. More About Amanda Smith Like many others in this business, I did not start out as a fabricator of window treatments. I attended college at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte earning a bachelor's degree in Middle Grades Education. After teaching English and Social Studies for seven years, I attended graduate school earning a master's degree in library science at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and worked as a high school media specialist for three years until my twin boys were born in 1998. At which time I became a stay-at-home Mom. When my boys turned three, I knew I wanted to work but did not want to return to teaching full time. While visiting a friend one afternoon, I noticed she had new window treatments in her family room. It was an “ah ha” moment. I thought, “If I can make cocktail dresses, I can surely learn to make window treatments!” I come from a family that sews. My mother, an accomplished sewer and quilter, taught me the art at age 12. My father owned a successful auto upholstery business for 25 years. Both of my grandmothers and all of my aunts sewed. With my family's support, I set up a small workroom in an extra bedroom and completed my first job in July 2001. What started out as a small, retail business has grown into a full-service to the trade workroom offering fabrication of panels, valances, roman shades, bedding and decorative accessories as well as several lines of fabrics, hardware, shutters, blinds, roller shades, solar shades, and natural woven shades for those associated with the interior design industry. In July 2017 I, along with Rose Mary LeBlanc, launched a second business. Seamless Workroom is a workroom management system which helps to improve efficiency and productivity within the workroom for fabricators and designers in the industry.
