Vi går igenom en vecka av fotboll. Champions League semifinalerna, där Bayern Munchen imponerar med sin lika match mot storfavoriterna Barcelona. Arsenal lyckas också dominera mot Lyon och går in i nästa match med ett måls försprång. Får vi en retur på förra årets final mellan Barcelona och Arsenal? Vi fortsätter självklart blicka ut mot Europa Cup även om den stannar i Sverige. Häcken vinner första delen av finalen mot Hammarby, och har hemmafördel i nästa. Womens Super League blev också helt plötsligt spännande när City tappar poäng mot Brighton och öppnar upp för framförallt Arsenal att komma ikapp. Men det ska mycket till fortfarande att det inte ska ta hem ligan. Dafür hat es gegen die anderen Nordlichter vom HSV und gegen Köln gereicht.Was war das aber nur für ein Heimspiel gegen Häcken, bei dem man fast fahrlässig das Finale des Europa Cup hergegeben hat. Ein tolles Rückspiel reichte leider nicht. Und so konzentriert man sich auf die letzten Ligaspiele, um Platz 3 zu sichern. I efteråret 1958 var KB tæt på at sende Schalke 04 ud i 1. runde af Europa Cup for Mesterhold. KB's unge og talentfulde hold var endda kun “forårsmestre”, mens et skadeplaget Schalke havde vundet deres syvende og hidtil seneste mesterskab med blandt andet en vesttysk verdensmester og en senere klubpræsident på holdet.Podcastvært Torkil Fosdal fortæller historien om, hvor de to hold stod i anden halvdel af 50'erne. Om en stor og sensationel københavnsk triumf i Idrætsparken. Om en returkamp på Glückauf Kampfbahn i Gelsenkirchen - med alle dets referencer til kul, stål, slid og sammenhold i Ruhr-distriktets velmagtsdage. Og om problemerne med at finde et spillested til en omkamp på neutral bane, fordi det stod 5-5 efter de to første kampe!Det endte med, at de danske amatører røg ud til de vesttyske halvtidsprofessionelle, men kampene skrev sig ind i den danske fodboldhistories lange række af ærefulde lige-ved-og-næsten-kampe.For KB var det ikke ligefrem “vigtigere at deltage end at vinde” - men dog vigtigere først at rejse til udekamp på selve kampdagen, så man i stedet kunne blive et par dage efter kampene og for eksempel tage en sejltur på Rhinen eller besøge Rijksmuseum i Amsterdam.Det var andre tider, og KB har prøvet mere end de fleste, for i disse dage hvor podcasten udkommer, fylder klubben 150 år!

Over her career, she earned more than 25 national titles and competed in Europa Cup races.After retiring in 2020, she co-founded VC Ski Fitness, helping individuals prepare for skiing through specialized training. She later transitioned to sailing and now teaches at Horizon Yacht Charters in the BVI. In 2022, she was recognized as one of the American Sailing Association's Outstanding Instructors, placing in the top 1% based on student evaluations.
