(Preached June 27, 2021 by Mike Mileski) This is the first of several messages in a series called "Holy Ghost Stories: Thrilling Encounters with the Third Person". Each week we'll learn what it looked like when the Spirit of God was at work in the stories of Scripture, so that we can also discern when it's Him in our day. We launch the series with the story of Pentecost: the day the Spirit transformed the Church. In our day, when the Spirit shows up and does a powerful thing, there will be those on the inside of it, and those who mock and criticize from the outside. Who will we wish to be?

The Immaculate Heart of Mary is the most perfect reflection of the love and purity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Yesterday was the solemnity of the Sacred Heart, a long standing devotion in the church that has taken on different forms. It started in that moment when John testified to what he saw, as Jesus' side was violently pierced by a sword: look upon him whom they have pierced. Preached June 5th, 2020 Following the state of California issuing guidelines against the corporate singing of the church. Biblical Presupposition: God commands Christians to submit to governments and human institutions. (Romans 13:1-7, 1 Peter 2:13-17, Titus 3:1-7, 1 Timothy 2:1–6) · We are not encouraged to protest our government but to pray for them that we might live peaceful quiet lives to the praise of God! · Authority has been instituted by God, it reflects him when good, and contrasts him when evil, it exists by his will and for his purpose. (Romans 13:1, 1 Peter 2:13) · Government and authorities under government, have the purpose of enforcement of the law to preserve the function and understanding of what is good and evil. (Romans 13:2-3, 1 Peter 2:14) · Government is a servant of God for the good of people. Civil and moral stability from the government preserves the understanding of good and bad, preserving the conscience of man. (Romans 13:4-5) · We are to willingly support the government not only in thought but through the paying of taxes. (Romans 13:6-7, Titus 3:1) · We are to function honorably with governing authorities acting respectfully and seeking obedience, and godly character in our actions. (Romans 13:7, 1 Peter 2:16-17, Titus 3:1-2) · We need to be reminded of this (Titus 3:1) and we can function in this knowing it is difficult because we have seen the goodness and loving-kindness of God toward us. (Titus 3:3-4) We are aware that his actions toward a result of what we deserved but out of mercy, and in the abundance of love that secures our eternity. Jesus calls us to surrender everything to Him. Preached June 21, 2020 Pastor Aaron Frasier
One of the difficult things about life “under the sun” is that things are not always as they appear. Ecclesiastes 6:12 posed a question – “For who knows what is good for man in life…?” This morning, we will see that wisdom is one of those GOOD things for us in life. Wisdom is GOOD for lots of different reasons, but it is especially GOOD when things do not go the way we think it should. To have a divine perspective on the “crooked things” in life is truly a blessing of wisdom and is one of many reasons why wisdom is GOOD! Preached: June 21 2020
Fierce in Praise - Part 1 (Psalm 117) Originally preached June 2014.
The Gospel assures us that Christ has won our victory and it will never be taken from us. Preached June 14, 2020. Pastor Aaron Frasier
One of the difficult things about life “under the sun” is that things are not always as they appear. Ecclesiastes 6:12 posed a question – “For who knows what is good for man in life…?” Chapter 7 builds on this question in the opposite way that one would think. This morning, we will continue to consider how God’s perspective on life and what is truly GOOD is different than ours. As with any divine truth, His way is to be preferred, even if on the surface it seems to be the very opposite to us. Understanding the value of all the individual scenes of life requires God’s perspective. Preached: June 14, 2020
How you worship at church and outside of church are tied together. Preached June 7, 2020 Pastor Aaron Frasier
One of the difficult things about life “under the sun” is that things are not always as they appear. Ecclesiastes 6:12 posed a question – “For who knows what is good for man in life…?” Chapter 7 builds on this question in the opposite way that one would think. Whereas Chapter 6 showed us that success is NOT necessarily always GOOD, Chapter 7 is going to show us that affliction and adversity are NOT necessarily always EVIL or BAD. Divine perspective reminds us that God is always working things together for our good, even when it may not seem that way. Preached: June 7 2020
