Salutare acolo. Radu is the type of performer that is regarded by many fellow comics as a comedian's comedian. He not only wins over audiences at comedy clubs, his contrarian approach often involves him throwing out ideas and notions that challenge the audiences' worldview. As he lays out his arguments, the unthinkable suddenly becomes so convincing for the audience and then chuckles come along. Radu's comedy is not just funny - it also makes you think. All these are achieved without Radu having to resort to stereotyping his home country. In the first part of the interview, Radu talks about how he has always been aware that he has an accent either in USA or in the UK, or even back in Romania.---------------------------------------Radu's Instagram (@radu70mld)Radu's 2022 Edinburgh Fringe Festival show "Pandemic"If you like the episode, please share it and leave a review. Grant is back, joined as always by the hilarious one man house band Phil Micallef and amazing American anchorwoman Katie Anderson to delve into the last weeks goings on in these crazy quarantine times! He's assembled a fantastic bunch of guests this week, both in his flat (6ft apart, wearing masks, don't worry!) and via the internet. First off, Kristyna Haklova - our Bohemian correspondent, here to catch us up on the quarantines progress in the Czech Republic and fill us in on the long, proud history of Czech Pirates, Erik Beckett - our American correspondent, here to give us the low down on all the conspiracy theories surrounding the outbreak, as well as starting a few new ones of his own, Denis Nikolin - our Moscow correspondent here to give us the low down from Russia and how they're handling the crisis (incidentally if anyone knows where Denis has dissapeared to, please let us know. We're talking to you Mr Putin.) and finally Radu Isac - our undercover Corona guy correspondent, a Romanian deep undercover, both metaphorically and literally, in the UK, here to give us his opinion on what this means for the global economy. Recorded at The Beehive Inn in the Grassmarket, Edinburgh, as part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. With guest panellists Gerard Harris, Radu Isac and Lee Moore. The panellists performed self-penned stand-up comedy material based on 20th August in history, before discussing topics based on some famous people with historical Edinburgh connections.Amongst other things we find out:-- why Mexico was not a safe haven for an opponent of Stalin- what message of greeting will last for 1 billion years- a very spooky-sounding conspiracy theory based on baseball statistics- whom from Edinburgh was voted the sexiest man alive- something which allegedly happened to Petula Clark- whose wicket Sir Arthur Conan Doyle took in a game of cricketAnd also why the panel embarked on a rendition of Wee Willie Winkie.

Canada may be America’s slightly saner neighbour, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t completely bananas in its own right (or, as they say in Quebec, bananes). This week, @robrousseau of the @49thparahell podcast joins Riley (@raaleh), Milo (@Milo_Edwards), Hussein (@HKesvani), and Nate (@inthesedeserts) to discuss Canadian party politics, the emergence of a new far-right party, why liberal media still wants to platform extremists, and why Justin Trudeau can’t seem to stop donning blackface. Last time we had @IPPR’s Tom Kibasi (@TomKibasi) on the show, he correctly predicted a bunch of things regarding the politics behind Brexit. We needed to consult the oracle once more, and as such we reached out to Tom to come back on and reassure us about the future. Well, sort of. Radu face stand up comedy in Anglia. In engleza. Am discutat despre political correctness, carnea de oaie la romani, de ce a plecat din Romania, diferentele intre scenele de stand up din UK si US, cum iti dai seama cand o gluma e prea ofensatoare si la ce sa te astepti cand faci stand up in fata unor mame cu copii sub doi ani.http://raduisac2.com/ https://www.facebook.com/radu.isac https://www.instagram.com/radu70mld/ -------------------------Podcastul Popesco Show apare in fiecare saptamana (de obicei martea) pe YouTube si in toate aplicatiile de podcasting (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, CastBox, Google Podcasts, iTunes, Overcast, Pocket Casts, PodcastAddict, Podbean etc.). The only country in the Brexit series that I haven't visited… Romania! Best kept secret? Country still finding it's feet? I got no idea, but Romanian comedian Radu Isac saves me the trip. Radu Isac (@raduisac) started performing in Romanian before transitioning into English while living in LA, a place he planned to live forever before one of the most brutal VISA issues I've ever heard. He grew up in Romania's version of Hull just after the fall of the Soviet Union when it was pretty much lawless, having good wifi and no plumbing, and why Eastern European cuisine is all about pork. He also explains to Daniel the difference between Romani People and Romanian people (HINT: very different, totally different). Radu's at Edinburgh Fringe in 2019 with his show ‘Good Excuses for Sociopaths' and you can keep up with other dates on his website. Daniel Muggleton has his special out 'Let's Never Hang Out' and where to find him is all available on his website www.danielmuggleton.com You can also grab Daniel Muggleton @danmuggleton on Twitter & Instagram, or email him at muggletondaniel@gmail.com.

Am stat de vorba cu cinicul, dar simpaticul comediant Radu Isac despre familie, cum e sa faci standup la Londra si viata in general. Once again Harriet Thorpe joined Ian on the phone in her bid to appear on 21 consecutive shows and to get Ian to actually attend her show Ruthless, which is currently on in the West End. Ian then told tales of his first threesome, before Ian Brown, creator of adult animated series The Bruvs joined him in the studio to discuss the series, but also about his time as a writer on 'This Is Your Life'. Following this, Romanian comedian Radu Isac was on the show to talk about his upcoming English Speaking Comedy Borsh, but also to teach Ian how to swear in Romanian, which he did when he called Connor.
