Rebecca saw her injuries as a challenge to get through and come back stronger and better and she shares some great advice for coaches and personal trainers who have clients with injuries. Alex chats to Rebecca about what she eats in a day when she is training and when she is not, as well as her future plans for the Commonwealth Games and Paris Olympics, and also why she loves the fitness industry. Rebecca Cole (1846-1922) & Rebecca Lee Crumpler (1831-1895): As we have seen, God empowered many trailblazing women in medicine to overcome insurmountable opposition as a result of their sex. Yet what about women who also had to overcome racial bias? Today we will be looking at two remarkable ladies--a Quaker and a Baptist--who became the first African American woman doctors in spite of enormous antagonism and prejudice. Their grace, patience, and wisdom in the midst of hostility--not to mention their achievements--powerfully attest to the fact that no matter what we face, we can be MORE than conquerors through Him who loves us!

A new supergroup featuring Carrie Brownstein (of Sleater-Kinney and NPR's Monitor Mix blog), Janet Weiss (of Sleater-Kinney and Quasi, among others), Mary Timony (of Helium) and Rebecca Cole (of The Minders), WILD FLAG hasn't even released its first single yet. Which means that virtually no one attending NPR Music's SXSW day party at The Parish in Austin, Texas, had heard a note of its rollicking, adventurous pop-rock before walking in the door. Hear the band perform live at NPR Music's SXSW day party from The Parish in Austin, Texas, on March 17, 2011.
