It's the end of the season and that can only mean one thing: it's time for us to step into the thunderdome and throw down. While there were plenty of releases this year, only a select few can make it to the top of Mount Olympus to claim the crown for sneaker of the year. In this episode, we each declared our personal top three sneakers of the year.Instagram: @shoepodcastYouTube: youtube.com/@shoepodcastPatreon: patreon.com/shoepodcastWeb: shoepodcast.comMusic by JohnnyBgood.

Almost 20 years on, and Sneaker Freaker is still at the top of the game. This month Alex Hackett (@Miniswoosh) and Meg Parry (@MegTeksir) attended Sneakerness, Meg went to Off-Print and Alex did the Hackney 5K (Half-Marathon Up Next!). The girls discuss the idea of cultivating and creating IRL community through events such as these and give a lengthy review on Sneaker Freaker’s new book (Spoiler Alert: it’s amazing). This episode, we’re also joined by a special guest — former social media manager of Naked Copenhagen and current social editor for The Face Magazine — Voni Robi. We discuss following your career literally around the world, how important it is to be nice to everyone you meet, the very unglamorous sides of the industry, and generally just what it’s like having a career in social media outside of being an “influencer”. Plot Twist: we all decide that if someone’s not active on social media, it’s a good sign that they’re probably actually just too busy living their best life! Guest suggestions or questions? Piro from the old Sneaker Freaker forum joins us this week for one of our best episodes yet, things go off the rails but we manage to sneak in a lot of sneaker news and banter. I hope you enjoy this one as much as we did
Simon "Woody" Wood is the Founder and Editor-In-Chief of Sneaker Freaker Magazine. Our relationship dates back to 2003, when "modern sneaker culture" was budding and we were both contributing to it in our own unique ways. Woody joins us live via Skype from Melbourne, Australia to discuss the evolution of Sneaker Freaker Magazine, along with the biggest trends in the sneaker world right now, including adidas vs Nike, retro vs new, Instagram sneaker stardom and of course, the influence of Kanye West. This podcast is made possible by and dedicated to my wife, Jennifer. Special thanks to my Audio Engineer, Josh Webb.
Paul drops in again to chat about the fantastic Globe 'Unemployable' Book Launch, the Sneaker Freaker swap meet and a whole lot more sneaker news.
My buddy Mike from Sneaker Freaker is the guest for this podcast and we chat about everything from Jerry Seinfeld to our favorite bball shoes and a bunch of random Melbourne goodness.
Jazz Bonifacio stops by the studio to talk designing sneakers and what he did to become a sneaker designer. Now working for Volley we chat about what they are up to and then venture off into the world of old Sneaker Freaker moments.
This episode I chat to one of Melbournes finest Hans DC about everything from the new Adidas Yeezy to the beginnings of Sneaker Freaker and sneaker events in Melbourne.
