On the 62nd episode of “Great Dane Nation,” Morten is joined by Baltimore Ravens legend Justin Tucker (05:47 – 30:08). But first, he checks in with TommyFreezePops (Tom Carroll) for this week's edition of the “Opening Kick” (01:01 – 04:54). Morten talks about an insane weekend of upset football, as well as his disappointment with Aaron Rodgers in his handling of COVID-19 protocols in Green Bay.We then move to our interview with Justin Tucker, where he discusses a wide range of topics: why kickers seem to get even better as they age, and recognizing that he needed to change some things to get to a dominant level of consistency (08:10); the factors that led to him getting to “unconscious competence” when it comes to kicking, including a deep study into free agent NFL kicker Stephen Gostkowski's approach to the position (10:18); why becoming a dad focused him in a way that he never realized it could (14:07); the importance of being present in the less-than-2-seconds-process of snap-hold-kick (17:40); a cameo appearance from longtime Ravens punter Sam Koch (19:21); the beginning, middle, and end of his record-breaking 66-yard field goal from earlier this season in Detroit (20:18); and this week's edition of “The Name Game,” featuring Mack Brown, John Harbaugh, Ed Reed, Ray Lewis, Terrell Suggs, Nick Foles and Joe Flacco (27:50).Then we move to this week's edition of “Morten's Fast 5,” where our Hall of Famer makes picks for the five biggest games of the football weekend (31:33 – 38:24). Morten gives his picks for Browns at Patriots (32:54), Buccaneers at Washington (34:09), Falcons at Cowboys (35:12), Bills at Jets (36:07), and Saints at Titans (36:59).Finally, we close things out with “Morten's Game Winner” – a weekly monologue from The Great Dane on his biggest takeaway of the week. Tom Brady already owned a bunch of Super Bowl records, and he now has even more in Super Bowl LV, when he won for the first time with the Buccaneers. Here are some of Brady’s Super Bowl records: Games played: Super Bowl LV was Brady’s 10th Super Bowl, by far the most in NFL history. Two other players have played in six Super Bowls, former Bills and Broncos defensive lineman Mike Lodish, and Brady’s old teammate Stephen Gostkowski. John Elway is the only quarterback other than Brady to play in even five Super Bowls.Passing yards: Brady has thrown for 3,039 yards in Super Bowls, by far the most ever. Kurt Warner has thrown for the second-most yards in Super Bowls, with 1,156. Yards gained in one game: Brady owns the single-game record with 505 passing yards in Super Bowl LII against the Eagles. He also has the second-most in a game, throwing for 466 yards in Super Bowl LI against the Falcons. Touchdown passes: Brady owns the record with 21 touchdown passes in Super Bowls. Joe Montana is next, with 11. Most attempts without an interception: Brady threw 48 passes against both the Giants in Super Bowl XLII and the Eagles in Super Bowl LII without an interception. That’s the most passes without an interception in Super Bowl history. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/canwekeepitreal/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/canwekeepitreal/support

#UFC254 #G.O.A.T. #Khabib #NFL We had a great conversation breaking down the UFC 254 that featured Khabbib Nurmagomedov getting a huge victory and then subsequently retired. His complete dominance of Justin Gaethje in this lightweight title fight was surprising to most. Khabib's father Abdulmanap died in July from complications related to Covid-19 at 57 years old. He was Khabib's long time coach and trainer among many other top fighters. Once the fight was over he took off his gloves and said that he had promised his mother that he was going to retire now his dad was gone. We had a lot of fun getting into this fight and the rest of a great card. We brokedown week 7 of the NFL which featured a great battle of two unbeaten teams in the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Tennessee Titans, It was a tale of two halfs as the Steelers dominated early and then the Titans flipped the script and almost came all the way back. They would have forced overtime if their kicker Stephen Gostkowski would have nailed the 47 yard field goal at the end of the game. We also broke down the incredible NFC West battle between Seattle and Arizona that was an overtime shootout. It was a nationally televised late Sunday game and had an incredible amount of amazing plays and when the Cards finally hit a field goal late in overtime to hand the Hawks their first loss of the season. There was a lot of things to discuss in the other matchups as well. We ended the episode giving kudos and our condolensces to David Braley the long time owner and interim commissioner in the CFL just passed away at 79 years old. He was a legend and owned the BC. LIons for 24 years and also owned the Hamilton Tiger Cats and Toronto Argos at different times. He will be sorely missed from football in this country. Enjoy Take care, Love yah, Bye for now!

It wasn't pretty, but they all count the same - the Steelers are 6-0! Tim Benz, Gerry Dulac, and Stan Savran break down a dramatic 27-24 victory off the foot of Stephen Gostkowski and a dominating 1st half performance by the Black and Gold. Many questions still persist, most notably around the fill-in situation for Devin Bush between Ulysses Gilbert and Robert NightTrain Spillane, and an offense that seemed to vanish in the second half, as well as some questionable play calling come crunch time. Nevertheless, it's Ravens week - Here We Go
